    I have enjoyed this project very much. You remind me of a hairdresser whose client walks in feeling ugly and depressed and then afterwards walks out proud and full of pep. You make a mess look like a park. You should be very proud. Anyone that gripes about details of what you do has never done that kind of work or has too much time on their hands.

    The owner should (maby) leave the trees in the ditch/levie side to help hold the soil in place,it might not seem like much but those tree/brush roots hold the soil in place.

    That ditch was created when they made the pond. Bulldozers pushed ground up along that whole side to create the pond. Your actually walking on a man made levy for the pond. The other three sides are natural descents. The levy is a great fishing levy. We made hundreds of these ponds in Alabama in the 70's. I'm sure they are all grown over as this one was. Nice job! You cleared it off really nice for the guy. He needs to have someone come in now repair the holes especially in the levy. Then spray, till and seed the entire levy to firm it up! Then stick that pond and get out the fish fryer!

    Looks great, But wouldn’t the MTL make quick work of all that brush leaving just a few feet near the ponds edge for the Masticator? Getting more brush chopped with the same amount of time spent on the job? I’ve seen you turn bigger trees than that into mulch PDQ with the MTL.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 года назад +3

      Great question Darren! Yes the MTL would have handled a lot of this brush out here, really anything up to about 4-5 inches but it takes a lot more time for that rotary head to cut and mulch larger material. For anything over about 1" the mulcher is just way faster and cutting and processing that material. I could have used the MTL but it would have just taken a lot longer is all and I wanted to be more efficient! Thank you for watching and commenting!

    Great vid to watch, fantastic how you get all the overgrown stuff down to ground level, but what I'm thinking is all those bushes/trees roots are still there... do you just leave them or do you treat them to kill them off?

    It really looks good! Why the pond, am assuming it attracts snakes?

    You need a drone Bro. You could see the job and get some good shots of before and after.

    Just wondering if you ever checked to see if there’s any birds nests in the trees?

    Won’t you have to spray or that will all grow back vary quick. I was raised on farms in Kansas you would be grinding hedge trees.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 года назад +1

      I agree Rick! If it is not sprayed it will quickly regrow for sure! But now that it's cut maybe it will be easier for the owner to maintain! Thank you for watching and commenting!

He was super happy with the finished product and I'll be back to cut that ditch soon as well so stay tuned! Thank you for watching and commenting!

    I imagine that there days cost upward of around 1600 hundred a day. He should think about getting some tree removel equipment those 🍁 maples Oaks, Hickory etc to purchase for homes and developments or reforestation cost anywhere from $125 to $300 bucks for just a six foot Saplings. So a $4500.00 clean out took out $45,000 in trees

    When you work this, does a lot vibration happen in the cab?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 года назад +2

      Great question Sharon! Actually no! The mulcher head is extremely well balanced and does not cause the machine to vibrate at all! Let me know if you have any other questions! Thank you for watching and commenting!
