When you are able to I think the next piece of equipment you should consider getting is a larger self propelled stump grinder. One that will do decent sized stumps. Maybe look into a used one to begin with. This area cleaned up nice. Good video. Stay well. -Wil 👍

if you tip it forward a little more when you are going backwards it won't pile up behind it and you won't teeter toter as much because your skid plates will be working

@@idigit4967 I had the 1900 on a cat299d3 xe. I didn’t care for the way the teeth mounted. Two Allen head bolts. When every other head has a single bolt. It was just aggravating if you didn’t have an air hose and a pick to clean the holes out you ran the risk of them not seating and stripping out. Go ahead and call rowmec get an FAE hose support. The factory bungee cord will break. No way of knowing because of the sheathing on it until the final cord breaks. Then the hoses will fall down into the rotor. Ruined my whole day. Supposedly the company knows about it but has done nothing to remedy it. I hope your attachment plate is reinforced, I think they did update that. Where your machine attaches to the mulcher the welds will break. I guess I’m just picky or expected to much. I wasn’t happy with the final product (mulch). The whole sharpening the bottom side of the tooth is great in theory. Never would keep an edge over a few hours. You could tell when they got dull. Sharpen twice a day. How the tooth is shaped it’s hard to sharpen the ends. I regret not buying a cimaf at the time. When I bought the Prinoth, Cimaf was still Canadian based. They would come set the head up spend time with you making sure your happy. I’m not sure if they still do that since mobark bought them. I just bought a shearex, all the guys that were at cimaf in Canada went to shearex. They still come down, tune the head, and make sure your happy with it. To me that says a lot. But you might have great dealer support where your at. The Prinoth is tough but the tooth design could be improved on.
@@idigit4967 Rowmec has a tuning kit for Prinoth heads. Might look into that. To dial it into your machine.

Fantastic. Your jobs are getting/looking better, as are your videos. You work while I observe from the safety of my home office - LOL. I would dig a hole and bury the bricks with the machine there and all, if they are not worth salvaging. You might find a low spot that could use the extra fill. Looks like a very small area for a horse, but if that's all the property you have to work with...

You really need to put the gaurd back on that cut off wheel. I've seen 2 people get hurt when that wheel explodes. The fragments will penetrate your flesh. Be safe.

How hard/expensive/often is the maintenance on thsoe cats and munchie?
That is an incredibly vague question not to mention there and many many many variables that can dictate multiple versions of an answer.

@@michaelwallace2101 sorry if I came across in an anal manner. It's just difficult to really answer your question without a means of comparison. Is it expensive compared to what, having no equipment? Yes.

how does the transmission in the machines hold up with all the forward and reverse motions , does the pasture at this property get disc to fine tune the ground so grass will grow for the horses?
Even if they could get grass to grow there is nowhere near enough property there to feed a horse just with the grass. They'll have to feed it and any grass that they do fence in will be bare in a few months. It takes something like 7 acres of thick grassy field to feed one horse and that's pushing it. You really need 10 acres per horse for them to graze for themselves and not need supplemental feedings. A horse will pull the grass out by the roots and eat the tender grass and drop the roots. A cow will nibble all the way down to the ground but won't pull the roots out so you only need 5 acres of field per cow to survive on just grass but the more the better and I'd say 7 acres would be better. A cow can also forage in wooded areas and eat leaves where I wouldn't reccomend that for horses but keeping horses in a wooded area is ok because it keeps them out of the direct sun in summer. I'm sure they know all this if they have a horse.
@@williambryant5946 Agree. That's a tiny area for a horse. One horse will have it tramped down to mineral earth and probably kill the trees within a few years. Even with feed being the primary food source. But if that is all the property you have and what you choose to do with it. Knock yourself out. There will be some expensive tree work down the road though.

Dude that mulcher head socks unless it's not set up for your machine that thing has no rpms at all boss how can you make any money when it won't grind a rotten stump without bogging down. Maybe it's me.
If you will note how the dual pivoting interface bracket correlates with the tertiary resonant axis which results in the ever increasing hyperbolic-exponential arc of the rotating drum, it will help you understand how the gyroscopic effect of the spinning carbide teeth more than compensate for the apparent reduced RPM.

Too little going forward and twice as much going backwards. Double the time and money.
Going backwards is how you process the material while dragging the head over the ground.
You need some training on the chainsaw if you rock it like a rocking chair it will cut twice as fast my grandfather and his brothers where loggers on the Pacific north west his saws had huge teeth on the front of the saw you would cut down until it was going slower than normal then push down on the handle letting the nose come up as the motor side dropped as it cut then let the teeth dig into the wood and you would then make the nose of the bar dig and cut as it goes down and the motor stays in one spot cut until slowing then drop the motor down letting the nose of the bar rise up as the motor cuts down and just keep rocking until your threw but don't ever cut the dirt
