@@veselinivanov7208 I just looked on SIA site. You need 2 forms of ID. 1. a UK driver’s license, 2. a passport (UK or non UK) or a biometric residence permit. Hope this helps.
I am from india , but currently working in europ, in Malta as a sequrity officer with sequrity licence from last 2 year. How can I apply a licence in uk ? Or do I need to find a employer first and apply for the licence or can I apply for the licence online then find a employer ?
Hi, You would want to apply and get your SIA licence first before finding an employer generally although some employers do offer licence training, in order to apply you have to follow the steps in the video by going to the SIA website and proceeding through their license application process. Can a guard keep working while waiting for renewal when the application on the website is showing " check in Progress"? Specailly after expiry date of the current badge?
Hi, A guard can't work without an SIA badge, if the website says that checks are in progress you have to wait until this has passed and you receive your full licence back.

Most companies now pay above min wage and can do as many hours and overtime as you want. You can earn a reasonable amount of money if you are not lazy. It’s up to you how much you want to earn in the security industry if you are willing to work. Also, there is so much demand for security officers that once you have an SIA licence, you will never be without a job and that’s the most important thing.

@@aleksandrjadevic1367 yes i did renew it .. so you have to book a new test in the class, 2 days only is called top up trainning.. after you pass the test within a week on your SIA account will come up an option as "apply/request your licence" After you request the licence Sia will aprove your request within 2 months ..after you will have it home So all you have to do is to google book sia top up training select your area done Good luck mate

@@aleksandrjadevic1367 mine was expired aswell , thats why i had to do the top up trainjng.. if it wasnt epired we could renew it only thrue the sia app where its says renew licence and we aould pay only the fee. But bcz was expired i had to do the top up... Anyways .. yes after i pass the top up test i went to post office pay the fee to renew the licence send the check , to prove that i paid that fee and my passport to proof is you and so they can to a backround check , DBS check etc ( i dont remember what else i send , but you could ask thrue sia account woth a message after you pass the top up traingng what you have to do and they will reply to you back step by step what you have to do ) So short story : pass your top up training Send them a mesage what you have to do after They will ask you to send "x" document/s and the check of the fee paid Then will take up to 2 motnhs for backround check and they will notify thrue the sia acount if you pass the backround check ..after that the docs should be back to you with the new licence ... olso when you send the docs and the fee check you will make another picture at the post office (type id photo) The ones at the post office should know better what exaclly you will need .. here where i live is a guy he knew everything and he helped me to get everything send to sia Good luck

I just had notification from SIA, and they say if you apply before 1st of October, then you don’t need renewed training or first aid certificate.
