Is a soft copy of my criminal clearance report document enough when going to the post office?
First of all, thank you, you explain everything very nicely and give a lot of important information through your videos. I am currently living in dubai and working as a security guard in dubai, I have hnd, will come to UK for top up inshallah. Now I will come to UK from Dubai but my home country is Bangladesh. In that case police clearance will be required from which country to get SIA license.
It's no longer a requirement to take your application to the post office, just make your payment. Please update your info please.

My qualifications is not updated it says we cannot find your qualifications record.
You know when i started my course i provided another email but now am using different email could that be the reason?
I have got to renew my license soon, trouble is £184 Renewal then top up course and first aid course £300, then have 3 days off work to do the training £360, then no courses in my area so got to travel 40 miles away to Manchester and back each day £100, nearly costing £950, after all that still on minimum wages for day and night shifts and working weekends, thinking is it worth having a badge anymore after doing security for the last 21 years, 😂😂
its a total ripoff, trouble is nowdays people will work for minimum wages cos most are not from england and its a lot of money back home, door supervisors should be getting paid a lot more than they are at the moment cos of the risk involved
Get a job in a warehouse, same pay if not more and no stupid licence needed.

You will need to also have your address history for the last 5 years, criminal record checks from the countries you have lived in for the past 5 years and the right to work in the UK.

Hi there, you could bring with you a passport or a drivers licence instead. Remember you also need 2 group B documents like a bank statement or utility bill.
So far you do not need to redo the top up course after 3 years.

@@mgtowchampion7961 wages are set by employers not Get Licensed. A scam means a dishonest scheme - employers offer a pay rate, if you don’t like it, don’t accept.

I only have 1 document from list B, a letter from hmrc, on my course I sent off a bank statement from my phone but it says clearly they won’t accept an online bank statement when sending for the license.. anyone got any advice I don’t get bank statements in the post I don’t pay any of the bills or have anything it’s asked for other than a hmrc letter 😢

How I can add my qualifications to my SIA account? When I enter my certificate number, website says “we cannot find your certificate”. But I have passed and achieved my certificate.

Hi Ali, have you made sure you have used the same name as the name you passed your course with? It can sometimes take a few days for the awarding body and the SIA to link up.

You just need to wait until you have passed your SIA training course. Sometimes it can take a couple of days for the qualification to be linked to your account though.

Hi, you do not need a passport - your driving licence will be fine. You will also need 2 documents which prove your address. These can be things like bank statements or utility bills.

You don't, that was just your copy, you don't need to upload it.
Hello I have online banking, can I print of a bank statement and use that as proof of address or does one have to be sent to my house
This should be fine - just make sure if you are using this for both Group B Documents they are from different banks.

Some common mistakes when applying for your SIA Licence include:
Entering their middle name in the forename field. For example if your name is David Lee Rodgers, your first name would be David, middle name Lee and Surname Rodgers.
If your drivers licence has an abbreviated name on it - for example MD is short for Mohammad. If this is the case, you would fill out your name so it matches your Drivers licence and put MD as your forename and any other names in the middle name and surname field. I hope this helps.

Are you planning on renewing your BRP? You need to have a valid SIA licence to continue working in the security industry. You will not allowed to work with an expired licence.

How do you do it with the top up?
A lot of your details should be saved from your last application. Once you have completed and passed your SIA training course, login to your SIA account and follow the renewal process there.

The SIA licence is only a requirement for working in the UK's Private Security Industry. If you are not from the UK you can still get your licence, however you must have the right to work in the UK and be able to supply a criminal record check as well as a few other checks.

You should be okay with just your drivers licence number, but you could also put in your current passport number too.

@@djswirley yes u can do part time with it especially on weekends for some extra cash. but again, through my experience it’s pretty difficult finding a job. but if your big and tall and can speak fluent English and have a car and are willing to travel, then your like 10x more likely to get a good job with it potentially earning £12/hr

must i provide my middle name?
You don't have to but it is best to give them all of the information. Main thing is to make sure your name matches on your ID documents to the name you used for your SIA course and for your SIA application.

Hi Daniel, you should be fine with this as it was a long time ago. You can check using the SIA criminal record indicator.
And after you get the license be prepared to work for minimum wage after you pay over £600 for your license. I have worked 8 years in the industry and every job I have had is minimum wage. Its a joke, a farce. I would get paid more per hour working in a factory.
jobs ive been looking at are 4 days a week, 12 hour shift £13 an hour, how does that compare. also why will the application be £600?
