‘door supervisor’ , ‘static guard’. I don’t like those titles, they don’t refer well what the job involves, they sound quite passive. I’m a guard and I’m not static, I’m a security in a club and the job goes behind the doors.
@@getlicensed But that is how the regulator entities named the licenses anyway, the nomenclature is quite trick since a door supervisor can refer to a static guard controlling in an out of staff of a company, and static guard can refer to a door supervisor who is only standing and watching. ‘Door supervisor” makes it feel less relevant regarding security, while “Security Guard (static)” may sound more relevant but the “static” lesser it again. Yeah the naming feels very backwards. I thought door supervisor was an inferior license and security guard was the proper thing. Turns out it's kind of backwards. But many things are named weirdly. For instance nearly hitting a car is called "near miss" instead of a near hit. Sometimes language doesn't make sense.
