4:59 YES SO MUCH YES. One of my favorite aspects of this movie was how they made the prince an actual "worthy" person for her love. That scene where he curls up in bed with his dying father really showed that he is truly someone who loves and isn't just full of himself. And how he takes the words he heard from her to heart and repeats it to others. Really great character-building for him.

Problem is that most girls don't know how to scrub floors, sewing, care for animals properly, cooking and gardening which are important skills for a future leader of a kingdom. Leaders need to have knowledge, compassion and mercy for their employees and be willing to pay them descent wages.

this director is really good and underrated, I love thor the first one so much. thor and cinderella have both memorable scenes + and the sets are beautiful
Not necessarily underrated, maybe just not very known outside the UK (even though he HAS been nominated for an Oscar 5 times, in 5 different categories!). But he's been knighted and is very well respected in the UK.
The only live action movie of Disney that i would watch 100 times. The message is beautiful, the sets, the scenes, the actors, the costumes. Everything. Was. Perfect.
I love that they used Cate Blanchett for this role. In all the movies I've seen her in, she was so sweet or understanding, it was fun seeing something so diverse and different in her personality. I absolutely loved Cate Blanchett in this film, she carried that role well and was very precise with her movements and expression. "The shoulder's frayed! It's falling to bits."
Is it just me that finds this movie so calming and satisfying ? Not just because of the visuals and the beautiful music. But because of the acting and the speaking. I don’t know why but I love how ella talks in this movie and how her dad and mother talk. It’s like asmr and it’s really really breathy. It sounds so weird saying this but I’ve always thought this.
The Cinderella film is definitely the one every one remembers no matter what age you are. This take on it is absolutely amazing, the acting, the costumes, the reality, the dancing, the carriage is spectacular. I love how you give an insight into its history and how it’s made. It makes it all the more beautiful. At the end of the day love is something every heart longs for if the fairy tale comes to life it has to be divine love. That makes the hearts of people sing. 💐
"We didn't particularly want to recreate the original animated film specifically" And that, right there, is why THIS film is so superior to the "new" Beauty & the Beast (where there is almost nothing new, it's just a less good version of the animated film, with a wooden Belle).
I remember that they said it was not meant to be a remake but a new adaptation of Cinderella but few iconic element from Disney animated movies being put in such as bibbidi babbidi spell and the name of the character for stepmother/sisters and mouse. But other than that callback, it does really felt like an entire new movie.
@@bella11110 depend on the change, did they respect the source material? (im not just talking about the original movie they remaking but the original stories by the original author) Cinderella did and that is why it succesful
With all due respect to Walt Disney and his incredible and legendary team of artists, I believe Kenneth's film surpassed the animated version. Just a beautiful, enchanting and all around magical film and the only of these recent live actions money makers that had an actual artistic and pure strive to it.
true that! this new cinderella movie is my fave everrr! cinderella and prince kit are perfect together..great chemistry between them i thought they are real life couple.
according to a documentary I've watched, Walt was not very involved in the making of Cinderella. He was busy playing with trains and forming the ideas of Disneyland. There are many aspects about the live-action Cinderella that I love. I can only hope Beauty and the Beast will be good as well because the animated version is perfect in my heart!
The thing between Ella and Kit was not acting......It may just be me but it looked like they may have actually fallen in love in real life if you seen one of the other behind the scenes video she said that she had fallen in love with Richard after the ball scene.
United Law Firm As an actress, she had become so absorbed with the character on a personal level that it became hard for her to separate herself from Cinderella. When she said she was in love with him, she meant that she had fallen in love with his character.
Actually, a number of wedding dress designers HAVE released collections based on Disney movies wedding dresses. Allure Bridal, Alfred Angelo and Paolo Sebastian all have Disney inspired wedding gowns. Hop into the internet and take a look! Maybe your wish can come true!
TheShillNecked Lizard yes! Pretty sure it was Alfred Angelo who released a dress that looked exactly like Cinderella’s wedding dress in the film. It’s just lovely! A RUclipsr named bananajamana had it for her wedding, she has a vid up if you search for her username and wedding.
@@theshillneckedlizard8364 yes omg! the paolo sebastian disney collection is one of my favourites, they’re all so beautiful and exactly what you’d imagine modern disney princesses wearing
@@HangNguyen-ww6ut I agree, but at the same time, when I look at the footage of the making of, you hardly see the dress when it's light up..... so I guess that's why they just did a CGI. And on the film they did this beautiful effect of fairy "dust" around her, like floating.. it's beautiful... Maybe this idea works better on live Theatre.. I just love everything about this dress!! This movie.. the costumes, the set,... My favourite Live Action =)
The soundtrack, the dress, the magic, everything was so amazing and perfect. Kenneth is a genius. Unlike Beauty and the Beast, overated because of Emma's fame as Hermione. I can feel the real magic with Cinderella but not with Beauty and the beast. I used to be so excited when I heard Emma was casted as Belle. But then I completely disappointed. Her acting was so robotic. Why? She was so so good as Hermione in Harry Potter. And the connection between her and her father, I feel nothing, I tried but I couldn't stop think they're fake, unlike Cinderella, I can feel the fathership between them, I thought they were real. I used to love Belle and the animation more than Cinderella, but then the live-action changed everything.
@_doppelganger i know that, that's why I said Kenneth is genius. But also the actors must be supergood too so they can perform what the director told them to do
It's because Hermione is her first role and she played it for a long time that idk maybe she became Hermione in real life or Hermione and emma is just pretty similar that she can't play other roles anymore unless it has the same persona as hermione
@@nix1355 Emma's Hermione is actually too perfect... the Hermione in the books is way more human, after beauty and the beast i really believe that Emma can only play herself.
CInderella 2015 actually did well in the box office (500+m) but not close to the profit made by its sister remakes like BTAB 2017, Lion King 2019 and Aladdin 2019. But nevertheless out of all the Disney Princess remakes, CInderella 2015 is the only one with a high and consistent positive review both from the critics and audience. And I am very very proud of this film
This is one of a very few live adaptations of Disney’s classics that is actually better than the original. The cast is perfect, the story is better than in the animation, there is magic in it but the protagonists have more depth and humanity. A lot of thoughts, care and diligence was put into this movie. The artistic part is on point too. Aesthetics are on point and everything combined makes this movie good.
The director, the writer, the prod crews and the actors respect the source material. This is the perfect live action film of a disney princess animated movie.
I love how they highlighted CInderella's beautiful character in this movie. ANd that the romance between the 2 actually have basis. that they didn't just see each other for the 1st time, fall in love and get married.
The emotions in this movie are absolutely STUNNING. It’s my go to movie when I just want to cuddle up with a soft blanket and watch something that can take you back in time
I thirnk this is one of the best live action adaptation out of all the onesl that disney made. They got the basics of the animated but added bits that made it complete. Unlike the others who feels like a completely different version from the animated that people loved.
Most may know the story but how it is presented in live action and make it entertaining but still keeping the essence of this fairy tale is truly remarkable! A tribute to the skills of the Director to make it so!!
0:40 I love that! You don't have to be physically strong and a fighter to be strong. Your kindness and courage is just as noble of a strength than physical prowess 6:40 also i love the parallels between her and cinderella. They both suffered loss and while the step mother chose to be bitter and angry cinderella cose kindness
I feel like this movie was a very smart live action remake. They took a simple story, pinpointed the key elements, and elaborated what was lacking to fit the more modern perception. They didn't compromise anything, but they were very listening to what qualms the people had with the 1950's version (ie: Prince charming being too 2 dimensional, why Cinderella stuck around, why Cinderella didn't tell the prince her name, even how the shoe managed to only fit her out of the entire kingdom). Very smart and I feel like it's one of the few Disney remakes I'm actually satisfied with
Lily is amazing! She‘s a great actress. She can be Cinderella and at the same time she can be Donna Sheridan. Not everyone can do both😂😍❤️ And I love both characters so much!
Even if Miss Lily James is not the first choice but what Miss James have is her presence and She exodes a Princess Aura !!! Miss James is really the Cinderella of new ages !!!
Watch BTS Fire 1717 i swear to god every time i read or hear her name the first thing that always comes to mind is Harry Potter and not her, even though it is her name !!!!!! 😂😂
I saw the original Disney animated version in theater as a young girl. This movie completely gob smacked me. The scenery, the music absolutely brilliant!!
Can we talk about how stunning Cate Blanchett was as the evil stepmother?? The costumes, hair, makeup, cinematography etc? Like that shot of her on the stairs towards the end of the movie was *chef's kiss* out of a Vogue magazine or something holy crap
Cinderella has always been my favorite Disney princess, and this movie is everything it dhould be. They did a phenomenal job with every part of it. The absolute best part, for me, is that stunning ball gown Cinderella wore; that color of blue just takes my breath away!
I'm really sad, that everyone here is hating on Beauty and the Beast....I had goosebumps watching BOTH of the movies and I think they're both beautiful, but different. They're both wonderful in their own way.
Clr. Ravenclaw I think what people mean is that beauty and the beast really has nothing new.. compared to this movie, they really tried recreating the movie but putting a backstory on the characters. That just filled in the blanks on their past.
Cate Blanchett was a very good Lady Tremaine! I love this film so much, the casting was great and good character building even when we all know the storyline. Fantastic work Branagh!
I'll say this: this is an amazing film, but had they kept all the deleted scenes, and the director's original cut, it would've been so so much better. If Disney was smart they'd release the Director's cut, because this film will become a classic. I think out of all the live action films they did, this one right here is the one that'll live on.
I love Cinderella's saying from her mother: "Have Courage and be kind." That's a great motto for life. Love it! This live action was the best of them all by a long shot. A masterpiece.
This is love. I'm watching it a couple of times a week 😍 The scenes, details, characters and all. perfect! Lily James, Helena, all related to HP that is why I am loving this movie as well. By the way, the step sisters are really beautiful. #magical
never get tired of this movie!😍 i think this is the best disney princess remake tbh. lily james are reallyy good as cinderella, everything is just soo perfectt in this movie. THIS MOVIE IS LITERALLY MADE WITH MAGIC!😍😍😍💗💙💙💙💙
I watched this movie a couple of times and I just sht bricks when I realized that fairygodmother's dress had LED lights?? And didn't even noticed that her dress changes colors when everytime she casts a spell. I AM AMAZINGLY SHOOKT!
They should also give credit to the editors (or however they're called) who did the color correction. Just compare BTS footage of Cinderella's dress, and how it looks in the movie. Even Madden's eyes are brighter than in any other movie I've seen.
I remember playing along to the bit where she wakes up, the prologue animation, and the way that she was feisty about "Oh, that clock! Kill-joy!", the sarcasm in how she says "music lesson", calling Lucifer "Your Majesty"..."not my idea to feed you first", but recognizing how her stepmother is the only one giving her shelter, food and a bed and how she was about to beat up the cat with the broom but was interrupted by the mail. She wanted to step out in the animated version, but knew she didn't have the resources.
Best Cinderella film ever. It shows how they fall in love with each other and not beuase of money or looks. He fell with her character and not because she looked beautiful and and he knew that she was a maid. she too fell for his character without knowing he is the Prince unlike the original one where they meet at the ball
mu dah hmm.. I was thinking just visual effects on her leg, cos it's impossible to really wear it. but I do know they really made the glass slippers~ extremely beautiful hehe.. u can Google for it ^_^
they made 8 pairs of that glass shoes which was made by the SWAROVSKI.. and everytime there's a scene wherein the shoe is featured for example in the dance scene there were several times that the shoe is featured well in fact that they only let lily James wear a silver shoes just to reflect wherein that shoe is a bit similar to a shiny glass shoe
Swarovski designed a special piece of machinery to create and carve the shoe's exact shape. The facets on the crystal itself is where the sparkle comes from and they were carefully calculated to make sure that the shoes refract as much light from all sides as possible. :)
I saw the animated version when I was three years old. Then I had a Little Golden Book of CINDERELLA with color illustrations from the Disney movie. It was fun to see this live action version repeat some of the moments of the animated film--including the wicked stepmother and stepsisters tearing up Cinderella's handmade (or mice-made) ball dress. When I was three years old, I saw the tearing of the dress as a terribly mean thing to do! Now, in live action, it looks shockingly cruel. The live-action film is not a replacement for the animated version, but a different rendering of the Disney version. The animated version has more industrious mice and birds, a more malevolent cat, and a dog named Bruno that plays an important role in the climax. The live action film has a more touching romance between Cinderella and the prince.

this director is really good and underrated, I love thor the first one so much. thor and cinderella have both memorable scenes + and the sets are beautiful
Not necessarily underrated, maybe just not very known outside the UK (even though he HAS been nominated for an Oscar 5 times, in 5 different categories!). But he's been knighted and is very well respected in the UK.
I love how they add so much meaning to the movie, and how much more depth they give the characters, without ruining the original theme of it
The only live action movie of Disney that i would watch 100 times.
This was the best remake of a Disney Movie. It is a joy to watch.
The Cinderella film is definitely the one every one remembers no matter what
age you are.
The live action beauty and the beast WILL NOT be better then THIS
Deathly Horcruxes I know. This is the best.
Hazzay Tic i've seen it it was actually quite shit
I actually agree
Hazzay Tic depends do you like Cinderella or beauty and the beast
@@aengusog3415 I used to love Belle more than Cinderella when I watched the original story. But the live-action remake changed everything.
With all due respect to Walt Disney and his incredible and legendary team of artists, I believe Kenneth's film surpassed the animated version. Just a beautiful, enchanting and all around magical film and the only of these recent live actions money makers that had an actual artistic and pure strive to it.
I agree!
true that! this new cinderella movie is my fave everrr! cinderella and prince kit are perfect together..great chemistry between them i thought they are real life couple.
***** great! me too... before this i just like Cinderella but now i love it!
according to a documentary I've watched, Walt was not very involved in the making of Cinderella. He was busy playing with trains and forming the ideas of Disneyland. There are many aspects about the live-action Cinderella that I love. I can only hope Beauty and the Beast will be good as well because the animated version is perfect in my heart!
It will be BETTER THAN THIS.
The thing between Ella and Kit was not acting......It may just be me but it looked like they may have actually fallen in love in real life if you seen one of the other behind the scenes video she said that she had fallen in love with Richard after the ball scene.
omg so true!
United Law Firm As an actress, she had become so absorbed with the character on a personal level that it became hard for her to separate herself from Cinderella. When she said she was in love with him, she meant that she had fallen in love with his character.
OH DEAR, SO IT WAS YOUR FALT, THIS TIME AND THY TOOK YOU IN INSTEAD THIS TIME, NICE, AT LEAST THIS ISSUE OF CLEANING THE PATH WORKED|
United Law Firm Ya ya i watched that one
Hello, fellow shipper
I wish the Cinderella ball gown would be my wedding dress one day...
If you take the challenge and learn to sew I don't see why it couldn't be your wedding dress. You can do it. Have courage!
Ahhhh Kenneth Branagh! Wonderful director and actor. Love him. And he made this movie a masterpiece!
Kinda disappointed that you barely see the Fairy Godmother's lighting in the movie
Duy Truong they actually did nOt show the lights at all... They did cgi instead =(
@@erikaalexandraparrabernal2021 they should have kept the light :(( or make it look more like fairy's light
They didn't focus on it because they want to balance the magic is too much and they want it to balance.
WOW I didn't know how much they filmed on actual sets/locations! This is incredible!!
But also the actors must be supergood too so they can perform what the director told them to do
Yes sadly
And I am very very proud of this film
how can you not appreicate the amount of dedication, work, and beauty that went into this movie lol
The prince he is sooooo cuteeeee
I love how they highlighted CInderella's beautiful character in this movie. ANd that the romance between the 2 actually have basis. that they didn't just see each other for the 1st time, fall in love and get married.
The emotions in this movie are absolutely STUNNING. It’s my go to movie when I just want to cuddle up with a soft blanket and watch something that can take you back in time
I thirnk this is one of the best live action adaptation out of all the onesl that disney made. They got the basics of the animated but added bits that made it complete. Unlike the others who feels like a completely different version from the animated that people loved.
How could they not talk about the music?! Patrick Doyle is one of the most wonderful composers and the music makes the film 10,000 times better
Absolutely! And another Scot....
Most may know the story but how it is presented in live action and make it entertaining but still keeping the essence of this fairy tale is truly remarkable! A tribute to the skills of the Director to make it so!!
I love how we get to see behind the scenes of this movie! It’s so beautiful and amazing!
0:40 I love that! You don't have to be physically strong and a fighter to be strong. Your kindness and courage is just as noble of a strength than physical prowess
6:40 also i love the parallels between her and cinderella. They both suffered loss and while the step mother chose to be bitter and angry cinderella cose kindness
everything about Cinderella 2015 is just😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I feel like this movie was a very smart live action remake.
Cate is the wicked step mother that I can never hate :")) I love her
Even if Miss Lily James is not the first choice but what Miss James have is her presence and She exodes a Princess Aura !!! Miss James is really the Cinderella of new ages !!!
This is, I my opinion, the best live action remake overall.
Another reason I love this movie is how it a live action but still didn’t take the magic out of this movie. Absolutely outstanding
HOLD UP
LILLY JAMES
HARRY POTTER
Watch BTS Fire 1717 and Bellatrix herself is in the movie too
Watch BTS Fire 1717 the director of this wonderful film also was Gilderoy Lockhart in chamber of secrets!
Watch BTS Fire 1717 i swear to god every time i read or hear her name the first thing that always comes to mind is Harry Potter and not her, even though it is her name !!!!!! 😂😂
Tammy x lol
Bellatrix and Lockhart are there too omg lol
Casting Lily James as Cinderella is one of the best thing that ever happened 🖤🖤🖤
I hope they make the other Cinderella movies, it would be beautiful! and I'd love to see Lily and Richard together again😭💖
Who else loves the cast, especially the fairy godmother and Cinderella’s mom
One of the best Disney live action remakes ever made. 👏👏
by far this is my fave disney live action of all time
Cate Blanchett was a very good Lady Tremaine! I love this film so much, the casting was great and good character building even when we all know the storyline. Fantastic work Branagh!
Richard talking about Lilly just makes my heart explode 🥺🥺
For me, this is the best live action remake among all disney princess films. ❤ i loved everything about it
I enjoyed Aladdin and Mulan. But not as much as this one. I’m hoping Snow White won’t be too shabby!
Peggy Carter is the mother of Ellla. YAY. HAHAHHA
This is very underrated movie out there. It deserves more recognition!
Who cares? Those who know, know...
I'm watching it a couple of times a week 😍
The scenes, details, characters and all. perfect!
Lily James, Helena, all related to HP that is why I am loving this movie as well. By the way, the step sisters are really beautiful.
#magical
Pure escapism ... often forgotten in today's great work .... and they are many!
I couldn’t agree more. Cinema has been corrupted since the pandemic.
I love how passionate Kate Blanchett is about this movie
I just loved this version...can't stop watching it!
never get tired of this movie!😍 i think this is the best disney princess remake tbh. lily james are reallyy good as cinderella, everything is just soo perfectt in this movie. THIS MOVIE IS LITERALLY MADE WITH MAGIC!😍😍😍💗💙💙💙💙
wow Lily is so so pretty i'm speechless ❣️
Lily James is sooo beautiful!
thanks lily james you are the best cinderella ❤ very thanks for the beauty vid
This live action remake of Cinderella was absolutely brilliant.
Since 2015, this movie has never lost its shine, I don't even remember the first time I watched it, but when I saw it I was delighted
I watched this movie a couple of times and I just sht bricks when I realized that fairygodmother's dress had LED lights?? And didn't even noticed that her dress changes colors when everytime she casts a spell. I AM AMAZINGLY SHOOKT!
Lily is so ethereal, she’s so beautiful
They should also give credit to the editors (or however they're called) who did the color correction. Just compare BTS footage of Cinderella's dress, and how it looks in the movie. Even Madden's eyes are brighter than in any other movie I've seen.
the dress's color is different it's more pale in actual?
Sam its because of lighting, but if the brightness of those lights are low you could see the magic of the ballgown.
Not so much cinematography as much as color grading in post 😉
The fairy godmother is that cool aunt.
I watched this movie several times and still amazed me. I really love this film.
Cinderella is the most beautiful disney live action for me until now 😭 we need cinderella 2 😭😭✊
yasssss
I remember playing along to the bit where she wakes up, the prologue animation, and the way that she was feisty about "Oh, that clock! Kill-joy!", the sarcasm in how she says "music lesson", calling Lucifer "Your Majesty"..."not my idea to feed you first", but recognizing how her stepmother is the only one giving her shelter, food and a bed and how she was about to beat up the cat with the broom but was interrupted by the mail. She wanted to step out in the animated version, but knew she didn't have the resources.
Undoubtedly one of my favorite Disney movies
Ugh I love Cate 😳 her character's so stylish
Best Cinderella film ever. It shows how they fall in love with each other and not beuase of money or looks. He fell with her character and not because she looked beautiful and and he knew that she was a maid. she too fell for his character without knowing he is the Prince unlike the original one where they meet at the ball
My only question is, how were the shoes made?
Probably, CGI.
mu dah hmm..
Adrian Paul Diongzon all the money in the world?
This is the first I pay attention to the fairy godmother's wings
MISS MAYRA
MISS MAYRA
MISS MAYRA
MISS MAYRA Me too
Bravo Kenneth Branagh, this movie was absolutely amazing. My favorite live-action Disney movie so far.
I think the Cinderella remake is the best of all live remakes I’ve seen
