Next time you're doing the hand measurements can you just put them on the screen? Trying to read the ruler if we're watching on a phone can be really difficult.
Honestly, this is most likely the only thing we'll get from logitech in the form of a G703 for a long time to come so I'm happy they listened and went back to make an ergo. Christmas came early
Papa techne has the best reviews in the tech space. Ty for that hyperX cloud 2 review, helped me picked it yep in the middle of this year. Everything u said in that review, 100%. Solid. Ive a regular GPX 1. But it's started to show it's age in 7months, double clicking constantly. Bought a DAREU A950 Pro as a backup and gonna send the GPX for switch replacement. Would've bough DEX if it was lighter in weight like GPX.
I got mine over the weekend and it is glorious, it did find myself going back to my SL2 for Apex and The Finals, but for story games, helldivers, Warhammer I did switch to this. Great mouse!
@gustavfaurholm5800 I have the gpx 1, gpx 2, and gpx 2 dex and the clicks on the gpx 2 and dex are considerable stiffer than on the gpx 1. Its not enough to bother me but your mileage may vary
As great as this looks on paper, $160 is just too much for me. Eventually I plan to get one, but not til there's a sale or other price drop. Perhaps they'll put out a wired version like Razer did for the DA V3? Thanks for the review. Love that they rounded the finger ledge corner under clicks -- the slant back sharp edge basically ruined the DA V3 for me. What is the scroll wheel like? I'm a big Zowie EC2-C / EC1-C notchy wheel enjoyer. Good to hear they've improved the side buttons as these were horrible on my SL1. Thanks man!
@@TheTechne Thanks man, bummer for me on the scroll wheel, dang. Personally I don’t like how “smooth” these wheels are in the sense that I can barely feel the notches - and I want to feel em. The EC2-C has such a great middle click too - feels like a button when I scroll that wheel. For me if a hypothetical EC1.5 existed that’d be the dream but it doesn’t. Dimensions wise this Logi one seems very close to DA V3 while fixing that rounded finger ledge corner is I definitely want one. Do you find it comfortable to reach the furthest forward side button in a palm grip? Thanks for the video man, you do great work!
@@TheTechne The other issue I run into with these hollow/flimsy feeling wheels (that often come on these lightweight mice) is the middle click -- I accidentally scroll the wheel by mistake when middle clicking which never happens with my EC1-C and EC2-C. I dig you put in that section about how being 40 grams is less important than good construction/solid feel and such.
So you all are buying msrp? Use your college or your friends’ college account to order, for me it’s instant 30% off. Razer is not so much, but 15% on top of other sales.
Best sensor in the game according to rtings. Dex looks SUPER good. Have mine coming tomorrow. People like to crap on Logitech but a TON of shapes that are out there are literally Logitech mice clones.
Just discovered your channel man great work. Even showing a heat signature? Awesome man - hoping you do some of the new chinese mice like Lamzu, Ninjutso, VXE, VGN, etc.
Go to their shop and try this on my hand today. And I found the slope on the top of the mouse is much sharper than the Xlite V3 size3 and Gladius 3. It feels weird in my hand. Also, they released another GPW that is not super light at the same time. And I think this mouse is surprisingly fit in my hand with 80 grams weight which I feel better for the personal preference.
I wonder if scroll wheels can become more light click spammable from these companies. It’s so underrated, my preference is to have that on anything loot or interact related - given that you rest your mouse 1 and 2 fingers when you’re not in gunfights.
G703 is much wider up front, and higher towards the rear not sloping down as much. I'm waiting for the Pulsar X3 reviews, which is more of a 1:1 clone of the G703 and probably $50 cheaper. I still cant beleive some of these companies are charging $160 when competitors are selling the same specs for $100 or less.
If I already rotate my forearm a bit to the right, the steeper slant on top should work well for me, right? I always have a bit of a gap under my index finger's first knuckle since I rotate to the right.
@@ronald0122 I have actually been swapping between the two lately. They both are so dang good, but if I had to pick one it would probably be the DEX as I prefer ergo
@@basvhoutI came from the thorn. This mouse is higher and less flat feeling compared to the thorn of that makes sense. It absolutely claps the thorn in all areas as far as I'm concerned. The sensor is so smooth it's wild. The coating is way way better and the clicks also are way better than the Thorn. (I loved the thorn also when I got it btw)
@@bmello452 Good to hear man! I've tried so many mice, but nothing did it for me. Only the Thorn was good enough shapewise to replace my G403. Let's hope this wednesday I'm a happy man when the Dex arrives! :)
Pricey mouse for what you get. Just 2 side buttons, and nothing else really new. At least the Glorious I 2 Wireless had 4 side buttons and 2 more behind the scroll wheel for 75g.
I haven't seen any other company do an ergo like this. The DAV3 has a ring finger flair out, which I think is bad, while this is rounded. And this fills out the back of the hand perfectly. It doesn't FULLY fill the back of the palm, but close, so you have some wiggle room for precise movements. The Dex is the best ergo shape I've seen in years, slanting to the right on top so you can rotate your forearm more naturally, with top notch specs. 60 grams is an ideal weight. What more can you ask for?
Been hating on Logitech for a bit now for simply sticking with the G Pro and innovating on nothing else for years. Excited to maybe see some attempt at something new, but honestly, I'm gonna be extremely critical given their years of sitting on their asses thinking up subscriptions instead of anything we'd ask for.
