Logitech has lost me quality wise - think I have had 8-10 Logitech mice in past 12 years - do the math. Scroll wheel issues, button issues, software bugs and premature death to all those components.
By that math, they're all still under warranty bud. You could've just gotten free mice after the 1st one. Every logitech mouse I've bought in the past at least 6 years have had 2 year warranties (at least in my country) - I have used 5 mice and paid for 2. The ones that "broke" developed small surface imperfections and warranty paid out.
Corsair is probably worse so. The only thing I buy from them is PSU which they don't make just slap their sticker on, but they're a good price for what you get. Can't say that about a lot of their products especially peripherals but their Elgato stuff is really really nice for the price and software suite, been using a stream deck and elgato wave 3 for years. Wavelink and the stream deck are so nice and genuinely do just work for the most part.
This mouse is my favorite in my collection. Most mice I get i convince myself for a month or two that it's good, but the dex is just SOOO comfy. In my opinion a better shape than the G703.
If it released at a non overpriced price point people still would today. It's just crazily overpriced for the current market with how many truly innovative mice we have out now for quite literally the same price or $100 with better tech besides battery life efficiency, Logitech is still the best in that regard for now.
Dex, or Dexter means right-handed in Latin. Also refers to being skillful, competent, nimble and such, given most people are right handed. "Ambi-dextrous" means equally good with both hands, or more specifically, everything is just as skilled as your right hand.
With the recent firmware update to the lineup, the sensor is more or less the top sensor now. Guess next steps or to just make different shapes among the lineup since I don't think they want to turn the shell into cheese just yet
No its not, its just a PAW3950 but with Logitech branding. Besides, sensor performance has peaked and become nearly indistinguishable years ago so you're paying nearly double the price of its competitors for no benefit on that front.
@@TheRealAstro_ Logitech hero 2 and even the original hero sensor are still far superior in a far more important aspect, efficiency. That's the really amazing thing about the sensor, the epeen numbers have been irrelevant for like 15 years now. Logitech's sensor is still a lower power draw and more efficient than any other sensor, for now. Eventually PixArt or someone will surpass them with how Logitech is going now.
The price of this mouse is insane. You can get a top tier performance gaming mouse nowadays for just around the $100 mark for almost every grip style... And they have the balls to charge this much? With side buttons that have pre/post travel and bad mouse feet thats hilarious
@@AllomanticSquash There are an absolute ton of options. I'd personally go for the Lamzu Maya X. I'd say compare shapes to your Viper ultimate and see what you'd likely prefer.

Shape is definitely nice, but 160 for this is asking way too much when there are alternatives with cheaper price and better build quality exists. Razer Deathadder V3 Pro is already cheaper and Pulsar Xilte v3 is in bargain price. There are three things... default skate is same thin but large surface area trash that scratch beyond hell. Side button is also same bad post travel trash that mouse just shouldn't have in 2024. Also, there are known problem with scroll wheel click drag... which It will randomly let go while you drag, heard Superlight 2 had this issue as well? Although my Superlight 1 didn't. Several review pointed this out... so if you use this often, please watch out
The scroll wheel click has this issue since the G Pro Wireless since they never changed the encoder. They chose a silent encoder without a click which is more prone to having this issue. Side button is honestly just preference imo idk why people say it's bad. The skates might have a big surface area but the thinness isn't really the problem. In my opinion the default skates feel smoother than any after market one I tried that use the same surface area. Price is def too high though. Might make somewhat sense now that it ships with 8k polling but still. I just hope they make optical scroll wheel clicks at some point because they really double click often and I need this problem fixed lol

8k polling is the worst to test latency bro.. when u put 8k on button latency will only be 1000hz,, 4k and 2 is still the best overall.. 4k will give u 4k button polling and 2k will give u true 2k all around.. just a heads up.. i dont understand why companys say true 8k polling when in reality it isnt
My thoughts exactly. On the ULX, for example, click latency at 1000hz is the lowest among the other polling rate options (one of the lowest of any wireless mouse, really). But as you move up the polling rates, the click latency gets higher.
I have the superlight 2 and just got the Dex the other day…after 30-40 minutes using the dex i had a pain in my palm and wrist…I think the back part of the mouse it to wide so when i swipe once to turn 180 degrees it feels like a weird movement/unstable aim… when i went back to the superlight 2 it felt so comfortable and natural..been playing cs go and now cs2 for many years and i have over 10k hours…i will stay with my superlight 2 and dex will have to go back.
