Thanks dude. This makes it so much easier to use. I’m not willing to open up my phone. Don’t got any tools anyways. But I just grab a magnet and hold it to the corner when I want to use the camera. It’s not perfect for video but still way much better and so so much better for photos now.

J Sar no problem. I didn’t had tools and afraid to open it as well. So I took out one magnetic souvenir from fridge door and kept below camera and camera worked fine. So later went to dollar store and brought small magnet, kept below camera and it worked like charm.

For those that want to troubleshoot to avoid opening the phone you could also try placing a thin magnet, think thickness of refrigerator magnet, near the lens. I use otterbox defender case and the magnet was thin enough that my case still closed.

Replacing the camera is the only true long term solution. The optical image stabilization sensor within the camera module is broken, it moves around within the phone to stabilize the image. That's why putting a magnet within and keeping the camera stationary works. But magnets are bad for electronics
I didn't even have to open the phone, I just glued a small magnet right under the camera and once i put on case protector you can't even tell its there.

Even without opening phone, if you can keep small megnet just under camera between phone and cover, it will work fine.
