This song should be played at maximum volume after a romantic break-in. My favorite line " Better ask questions before you shoot. The seed of betrayal is bitter fruit. Hard to swallow come time to pay, that taste on your tongue don't easily slip away ".
Wow 20 yrs ago more or less since album dropped July 2002 a WHOLE other career just as many albums n tours as 73-88 CRAZY. The River double album and World Tour 80'-81' was STILL their peak! Imho that period AND the 75-81 albums AND Tours AND more importantly it was the best Rock n Roll Trilogy of albums ever. Facts. He purposely cooled them off with releasing"Fade Away" as the 2nd single off of that masterpiece album. Him AND Jon Landau. Instead they could have dropped The River title track as the 2nd single in that winter of early 81' n kept peak sales goin along with hit singles and finally for Summer of 81' "Sherry Darling" or "Out in the Street" BOTH great Pop formula hits/classics and by clipping a minute here or there u got 2 Top Ten singles under 3 n 1/2 minutes. Just like Tracks Disc 2 7-12ish classic outtakes would have made The River album as big or bigger than USA in 84' but watever!!
Man it's just scary good. Think these guys (and gals) love their work? Lonesome Day, just another great song from an incredible album. Would love to see the actual SNL show performance for comparison sake. If anyone has a link to it, please reply. Thank You!
Two reasons to love the work: #1- the songs are great. #2- Bruce splits the concert proceeds evenly which likely makes them (by far) the best paid back up band in history.
Love seeing a smiling Danny Federici and Clarence Clemons...man, I miss those guys.
Me too, so much a part of the sound of Bruce, Danny was such an instinctive player.
You got that right
Big time.
When they died everyone lost their power here Bruce is at the end of his prime devils and dust marks a change in performance and joyousness
After 9/11 I saw them in DC on The Rising tour. A much needed healing experience.
The joy is infectious

he will probably have a really solid future in music.
seth will do okay also.
Why, some say he IS the future!
The guys wonder why Patti isn’t there and then Bruce laughs when he sees her stroll up. Hilarious. Then he chastises the crew. Haha
RIP Clarence & Danny
"Can't understand a word. It's all pops and buzzes over here baby!"

Kako dobra muzika,ajoš lepši osmeh.
Hvala vam za ovo.
2:04 Where's Patti???
2:38 There she is!
I'm so glad she came in at that moment. Her guitar took the song from a 10 to and 11.
A woman being late ⏰ go figure. No disrespect ❤️
Has the wife of a Rock Star ever improved the band by joining? Answer.. NEVER
true but she was in the band before they were together...
@@bill3901 Where do you get your lame information..
Eh? She was a backing singer for the band before her and Bruce got together
@@WillyoDee you believe that? Ok... Whatever.
Good songs but over the passage of time this guy seems more and more phony
This seems like an Assignment. SHEESH. NO magic.
Its a rehearsal SHEESH ... But, I'm sure you really unleash the magic when you rehearse with your band.
