@@vdoggydogg3922 yes , when a musician has been covered and admired by all kinds of great musicoans in all kinds of popular music, yes, you’re great and beyond , you’re a legend and a classic. Wether you like him or not is a different story. Saying Brice is not a great musician is pure ifnoramce in that particular subject matter. Great fun performance of this track
Fantastic, thanks so much for putting this online. Conan is without a doubt one of the best, and Bruce is the boss. (But only speaking as a fan for nearly 50 years.)
This is a Springsteen fan fest. You have Bruce there for Max’s last show. Then you have Natalie Merchant who covered a Bruce song. And then you have a very young Jon Stewart who ALSO had Bruce and come and play on HIS last show.
No he wasn't Vini Lopez was the original drummer. Max was hired for the recording of the Born to Run album. He wasn't even there in time to record the studio version of the song Born to Run, which featured "Boom" Carter on drums.
Good times in 1999. It's 2 years before I was born but I feel some kind of strange nostalgia about 80s and 90s. People did things different back then on TV, more entertaining than now and music was still genuine and light hearted.
I've been laughing at that ever since I first saw it about 20 yrs ago. I thought if Bruce wasn't with his wife Patti he would've had a sure thing with Natalie for the night. Lol Natalie Merchant doing a yoke check. Hilarious.
Uncle Dean's Sausage and Beef Mix Uncle Dean's Very, Very White Rice Uncle Dean's 12 Roll Single Ply Value Pack Uncle Dean's Grits & Cheese Uncle Dean's Orange Cheese The Idiot's Guide to Sex, by Uncle Dean Uncle Dean is the reason diabetes exists Uncle Dean's all time favorite movie is Home Alone Uncle Dean was recently the topic of his own AA meeting Uncle Dean could probably be a character in a Springsteen song
You forget just how much GREAT music Bruce wrote. I haven't heard that in a decade. Pheenom!
I wonder if Conan requested this song . Kind of a deep cut.
God, just imagine going to see Lat Night live and getting surprised by one of the greatest musicians of all time!
Greatest? Wow
Why would you be surprised? Max was there for a majority of the shows

@@dacethejackofhearts7209 you said greatest, not great. There is difference. Please read your own posts.
One of the most commercially successful yes but far from one of the best musicians. I bet Springsteen himself would agree with that.

Max is as competent a rock~`n~roller as he is a jazz cat!
was he on the show first before being with bruce?
Max always looks like he’s having so much fun when he’s playing 😊
No. Hes Been playing with Bruce since 1974.
This is magnificent!
Max this is a rock and roll show lose the coat and tie. Lol Bruce
Bruce became his boss again on/in that episode. That's Bruce Springsteen is called THE BOSS.
The band is geeking out so hard over playing with Bruce lol
Can’t wait to see him again in April on Long Island and again in LA IN December.
Just saw him in Greensboro. Spectacular!
@@rosalitamarie8836 I just saw on Reddit that the Greensboro show was off the charts amazing. Glad you have a good time!
Bruce Springsteen é lindo e maravilhoso❤❤❤
Never saw this. Amazing!
I hadn’t seen this one. Love it!❤
The Boss tells you to get naked, you get naked! hehe
Love ❤🇺🇸🙏👍🏻works! Haha 😂 rock it. Bruce music so fun!
Bruce plays in an open G tuning capo 3 = Bb the other guitarists are in standard tuning capo1 = Bb

Plus, Letterman’s last show on NBC before moving to CBS.
Fantastično. Predivno. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍💋💋.
Max was part of the E Street Band from the get-go

Wrong
I believe everyone in this band played w/bruce at some point
La Bamba played for years with Southside.
Well, does this point count?
@@whiskersb5296 All the Asbury Park guys played together at some point, especially when they were unknown.
I wonder if this is when Natalie merchant decided to cover "because the night" for her unplugged.
The unplugged show was in 1993. This Conan show was in 1999.
Max about to join Bruce and E Street Band on the Reunion Tour…

I feel like Springsteen has always been pretty jacked.
oohhh that's who that is! Didn't recognise her.
She had a minor hit with 10,000 Maniacs cover of his song Because the Night.

Dude that was Natalie merchant on there I do believe!
LOVE THIS AN RICHIE LABAMBA..😊
Legendial😌
Did Max know that Bruce was coming out on stage?
Really?! Well, first clement I guess.
Is that Jon Stewart?!
Jackie Martling thought he was Bruce
Who wrote this?
The boss himself wrote working on the highway
It was on an obscure album from 1984 called something like Born in the USA.
@@kindnessfirst9670 Yeah I heard it was a so-so hit 🤣
Omg dude really
Your mother.
Chubby Bruce
slightly
Yeah he was pretty out of shape by Bruce standards on the early part of the Reunion Tour - by 2000 he was back up to speed
I have seen thousands of photos of Bruce going back to his early childhood- he has never been "chubby".
The guy is a fucking legend and your dropping Chubby? Grow up
1999 Springsteen looks like my uncle Dean....except that my uncle Dean isnt a Turncoat communist
You guys are so sad...you search out Bruce...only to be rude. Why waste your time hating. Go live your lives and be positive.
I thought liberals were socialists to you magas? Maybe you guys should have a meeting to get your terminology straight.
At least Bruce isn’t a moron like Uncle Dean’s nephew.
A musician receiving millions of dollars is a communist?
