We need to be more pro-active. Parking the bus from the first minute runs a huge risk- we need a to try for a goal as early as possible to relieve the pressure. If we carry on making subs AFTER we go behind, we will lose. I was screaming at the TV to make changes from 46th min to the 75th min! So much talent on the bench and mediocre performances on the pitch was so frustrating to witness. I'm the first to criticize Pickford but he was a hero at pens... and I was really impressed that not a single England player missed.
These guys nail it - start Palmer, not Foden. As far as Kane, would start Watkins rather than Toney against Netherlands (Watkins ate VVD's lunch in the season). If that doesn't work, can bring Kane or Toney on after 60 mins or so.
Southgate has topped every qualifying group. He has topped every group stage he has been involved In. Has made thus far , 2 semi finals, a final and a quarterfinal in his 4 major competitions. His record is impeccable and statistically the most successful manager England have had since Alf Ramsay. Also previous managers have had real golden generations, Lampard, Gerard, Rooney, beckham, Rio etc yet couldn't make one semi let alone 3. Southgate been superb and England fans will learn over time to appreciate the job he did

You don't get to finals and semi finals by not beating top teams. What 'top teams ' have we beaten in tournaments since 66?

He’s definitely done a lot of good things. Southgate seems a decent skin. Not having some one on the left is just looney. Love to see England win but not changing things when needed ( subs ) bothers me terribly. And I hate when England plays so slow until they go a goal begin and it’s almost too late to recover. England have been lucky with the draw and events on pitch.

Southgate's our best manager by data, has the highest points per game of any manager. He consistently gets us deep into tournaments, I'm just overjoyed we don't go out in groups anymore. I know you guys are all in your feelings about southgate but the facts don't care about your feelings. Come on England you can do it!
Love it mate I remember the days we couldn’t reach past last 16 we have been spoilt this past few years I watched the golden generation and they were dreadful but typical English fans we don’t know what’s good for us until it’s gone, can’t wait for a new manager to try play us like the foreigners of which we painfully failed at, Southgate plays our English players like English players perfect the basics and have a winning mentality that’s why we have reach far in tournaments

@@yoshiwoollyworld it’s takes more than a manager to win tournament football past managers we had were cup winners and had all the tricks up there sleeve and we didn’t even make past last 16. I watched golden generation that were at highest level in world football even then we didn’t achieve half of what Southgate has made of this team
I’ll take losing finals any day aslong as we are competing and giving it a go, nothing but praise for this team and manager giving us the best moments and memories, it’s coming home
@@JordanPhillips-rn4ev maybe because they faced top dogs early while southgate faces top dogs later. This is why he gets far in tournaments and not because he’s good at managing
