On something like the ZV-E1 with stabe and clear zoom, this becomes an 18-27mm roughly which is quite a versatile range. With dynamic stabe more like 20-30mm, that’s quite compelling for a lot of types of videography.
For a7III/ a7c/ A9 users: no clear image zoom needed as you'd lose phase detection AF. Just use 4k 30p mode - which forces a 1.24x crop. Nice and dandy.
Hey hey Stvn and Igor! Glad to see you guys engaging in the comments. I had an A7iii and the crop you get at 30 was close to a 1.2x, probably the 1.24x mentioned. Close enough haha. It'd odd why you lose phase detection when you go into clear zoom. The A7siii also does this. You think it would have enough processing power over the A7iii.

As a a7IV user this looks interesting, too much vignetting even w/ clear image zoom for my a7SIII. When did you drop the summery in the front of your videos?
Hey hey Jordan! Thank you so much for checking out this video and commenting! Definitely an interesting lens. I'm not a wide angle kinda filmmaker, but I did like playing with the composition'ing with this lens. Especially with it being rectilinear. I started easing back on the original TLDR about late last year I think. RUclips algo decided to punish the channel because most viewers dropped off after the TLDR so my videos were no longer showing up in peoples recommendations or feeds for months. Most likely because youtube wants me to use Shorts instead. So for now I'm experimenting with longer summary's in the front end and occasionally using a short to see if it makes more sense for certain reviews or topics. Thanks again for stopping by! Stay safe, healthy, and I’ll see you in the next one!
@@TLDR_filmmaker I have a few f4 APS-C lenses that I still use on the a7IV, the 18-105 f4 power zoom is still a great, light weight video lens and it's cheap! I kind of figured that the algo was the reason for it, it's a real shame because I loved that part about your videos but there's nothing worse then putting in all that work (I also love the amount of detail you put into these videos!) and have something out of your control completely mess with your format. You had an incredibly unique review formatting and it's a damn shame you were forced to change that because the ai says otherwise. Keep up the hard work, I'll still slap that like button on your videos to help the engagement side of the algo bs.
Hey I was just looking at this lens (I believe) for Nikon z mount after the Z30 announcement last night thinking it would pair well with that camera. Great price. I can also see this being a competitive option to the sigma 16mm f1.4 for small room content creators and streamers.

Hello, I purchased this lens for Sony, tested it on both my Sony a6500 + Sony A7c and found a bug that I believe is the result of faulty quality control: I normally set my cameras to Aperture Priority. The lens aperture ring is set to A. I turn the camera on and the camera defaults to f/2.0 instead of f/1.4 when I turn the aperture ring on the lens back to A, it goes again to f/2.0. of course I can turn the ring manually to f/14 - but it seems like a bug that could be fixed with firmware update. I contacted VILTROX several times via email and messenger and they either ignored me or brushed me aside. I also asked this question in the relevant DP forum, but nobody was familiar with this bug.
Hey hey Moshe! Thank you so much for checking out this video and commenting! If you are on the most updated firmware for the lens, I would actually suggest maybe trying some of the older firmware. Sometimes the newer firmware doesn't jive well with certain cameras and older firmwares were still good. Someone in the comments had a different problem with AF not working right and a older firmware fixed the problem. I'm sorry to hear Viltrox hasn't responded. The Lunar New Year was not too long ago so I wonder if they were on break? Hope they respond soon and or that the older firmware fixes your issue. Thanks again for stopping by! Stay safe, healthy, and I’ll see you in the next one!
I find if you go to 1.4 zoom you can get rid of all of the vignetting with with 1.3 on my sony a7iii you still get vignetting but if you want to add stabilization anyways in the computer like in DaVinci resolve for example you would get rid of all of it and see very little if any at all at 1.3 zoom. Its an amazing lens though. Highly recommend it. Best lens I have ever bought.

@@TLDR_filmmaker and actually when I took the lens hood off I was able to shoot at 1.3 clear image zoom with very low vignetting. I think 1.2 should be fine with digital stabilization crop. @@TLDR_filmmaker Just so I'm clear. The 1.3 or 1.4 crop is when shooting in VIDEO-MODE right? The apsc image circle is too small to use in full-frame PICTURE mode right?
Hey hey again IMDABROWN! Haha as Nate said. It's a tactical hip pouch, I'll sometimes carry it with me on sets to have batteries, filters, lens wipes, and any other accessories I may need on the field without needing to go back to my pelican.
I am seriously thinking to buy this lens or the Sony 11mm f1.8 over the Sony G 20mm f1.8. I can get a wider focal length a (better bokeh) for half of the price :) This would work perfectly on my A7IV or my FX3. PS.: I own the 16-35 G master, but its way to heavy for vlogging and its only f2.8, great for photography and video work most of the time, but definitely not for vlogging.
Hey hey Gergely! Thank you so much for checking out this video and commenting! I was quite surprised with this lens, it would be a perfect pairing for your A7IV. I can't say I vlog all that much (as you can tell in this video haha) but if I had to use a lens for it, this one would be it for its size, wide aperture, and use of Sony's AF! Hey hey CRTY! You could but you would be losing resolution, unless you are finishing in 1080p. The clear zoom does some sort of processing that lets you keep a decent sharp 4k image still. It's a better starting point than to do a 1.3x crop in post on a 4k video.
Which these ultra wide angle lenses do you suggest for indoor real estate videography in a low light noisy situation with the Sony ZV-E10 camera ? 👇 1. Sony 11mm f.1/8 2. Samyang 12mm 3. Rokinon 12mm 4. Tamron 11-20mm 5. Viltrox 13mm F1.4
Hey hey Masood! Thank you so much for checking out this video and asking a question! I don't really do real estate videos so I would not know the best lens to use specifically. But if you are in low light situations then you will want a lens that has the lowest F-stop number possible. So whichever one on that list that is the lowest (Viltrox I think?) will help you the most in the low light. But what would really help is if you can try and get as much light into the real estate as possible whether its opening windows or bringing some small COB lights that bounce off the ceiling out of the shots. Hope this helps. Thanks again for stopping by! Stay safe, healthy, and I’ll see you in the next one!
