My 33mm (50mm equivalent) lens just arrived and I can tell it's going to be an interesting challenge. None of that fancy atmospheric distortion and easier 'scene encompassing' of shorter focal lengths. Less bokeh than the 56mm lenses. I'll have to get great at finding genuinely interesting vignettes amongst all the noise on my street walks. I'm looking forward to it. It feels unpolluted by gimmicks. As an aside, with the new firmware onboard my X-T5, this lens has terrific autofocus. It accurately tracked a faraway flying bird that I could barely even see on my backscreen and took sharp pics.
I'm starting to go into photography, but I'm only practicing on my phone since I can't afford one, but hey with all inspirations from the works of different photographers, I was able to create my own style and taste and it turns out better! Thanks for these great contents!! I've learned so much!!
For decades, my street lens for choice has been the Nikon Series E 50/1.8 pancake lens on a Nikon EM. I hyerfcus and then tape the lens so the focus does not shift when discretely photographing people.
Beyond the technique and personal style, location is the other half of successful street photography, I live in really small coastal town so street photography is very limited to a few spots and subjects and while taking shots from the ocean and the beach is cool and nice it quickly becomes repetitive... For me fortunately my kids are about to reach 18 so I'm looking to the possibility to travel around!
Hi Pierre, I liked the Red Post Office, the van with the red writing, and the bottles. What I enjoyed about those photos is that it had some Colour, and because everything there was White, the Colours looked good. Also I liked the photos you took at the end of the video, It had good variety. Thanks for this great video.
nice pictures and interesting angle of view. - which custom button do you use for apsc-s35 crop mode ? - when you try to make focus on snow, do you switch to MF or in AF-C BBF, just press once on afon to set focus and be in af-s pseudo mode and turn the lens ring ? isn't it destructive for lens to turn the focus ring in af-c mode ?
Really cool pictures as always Pierre! I have one questions though, why did you censor the a1 badge in the thumbnail of the video… and then immediately say in the video that you’re using the a1? 😂 Keep up the good work anyway! I’d love to also visit such great places!
What mode are you shooting on? I have a D3300 and i shoot on Program (P) most the time. Then hold down the aperture button (by your shutter button) and rotate the dial by your thumb. The camera will pick pick the settings, but you can change the exposure with it on program.
If you shooting on A mode, you can easily change exposure by holding exposure button (50/50 black and white with plus and minus) and rotate dial. Hope that help you.
@@Pierretlambert I’m so honored you replied 😭 I just started photography like 2weeks ago all thanx to you I luv it so much But you make it look so simple Just thanks Un my way to follow you on insta

hey Justine, got an IG or so to see your work? :)
It helps to start with a film camera. Old canon or olympus.
Often better photos on a phone. WYSIWYG
WSYIWYG? What does this mean?

My canon r10 just arrived! I bought a 50mm but it hasn't arrived yet, love your vids especially the city night photos!
I love night photography, so I can't wait to do it myself!
My vote is for The Green Umbrella!
12:50 the GoPro makes some crazy shots of les arbres.
You’re talking about how it distorts the trees?
best advice in these conditions: bring a lens hood :D

Always interesting to shoot in the snow! Every time it snows around here I go out and shoot myself!

Great video. I am a beginner. Could you please advice some cameras for beginners?
If you have to choose only one lens which one should you take, 35mm 1.4 or 50mm 1.2 or 1.4?
ahhh existential crisis question haha. No budget concerns 35 1.4 and 50 1.2
nice pictures and interesting angle of view.

haha thought it grabs attention a bit better! Also I think there was some weird reflection
I often see you move your thumb towards the rear screen before you take the image. Is it a setting you are changing?
yes probably my focus point position :)

Hey I just bought Nikon D5100 it's amazing for beginner. But I have a bit problem on adjust the exposure . Is there any easy way to do that?

Try to check on your exposure compensation also :)
@@Pierretlambert pretty much what i was pointing out.
@@limitless_93 thank you
what are those gloves?
I’m wondering how is your lens not cover with dew under this cold temp
if it's as cold as outside you're pretty good :)
