- Hello my friends, had this one on my mind for a long while, hope you find interesting and enjoyable.
My great friend has introduced me to Demon Slayer, and I like it a lot, even if I have some negatives to say about it.
I've only seen Season 1 so far, as I like to binge stuff, but I have a lot of opinions as always.

Yes it is yorichi tanjiros dad wasn't even birn at that time the reason muzan pived is because he exploded and managed to escape useing the pieces of flesh to crawl away

Muzan was proved by tamayo and other characters that he is a coward. In the alley with those two drunks,he didn’t hurt kill then after the first few insults because #1 they’re not worth his time #2 doesn’t want to draw attention. He finally killed them when it got personal because he’s an emotional child above all.
That's a more accurate way of looking at it... I just wanted him to be a badass at that point. Big sad

If he would have killed tanjiro, the city will start to become a mess and it will get to the demon slayer corps, and they would send all the hashiras and demon slayers, i know, the uppermoons exists but still, it would be TOP loses, he also made nezuko a demon in purpose, because what hes trying to search is a flower, than makes demons inmune to sun, and like nezuko was a relationated to yoriichi, he tought than the sun breathing could make demons inmune to sun, so he did it and if nezuko was inmune to the sun, he would have eated nezuko and gain the inmunity (wich in the end, when tanjiro became a demon, it was true)
@@GhostWithAGun69 agree but disagree with one thing, all the uppermoons plus muzan negative diff the entire demon slayer corps, we havent seen muzan at full power yet, and a severly weakened muzan is still much, much stronger than a hashira, and that muzan is poisoned, whats that poision do? Make people age 50 years a second, yeah, muzan have been fighting without eating for thousands of years, and still stronger than the uppermoons, thats how strong he is

I'm betting Muzan was soo afraid of Yoriichi, that he thinks, if he busts into the Demon Slayer headquarters to wipe them out, he will be faced with the 20 strongest Hashira, all using Sun Breathing, Demon Slayer mark, bright red sword, and transparent world. They would tear him up good. Very unrealistic scenario, but I imagine that is why Muzan always holds back. He had many chances to wipe out the Corps.
And the Upper Ranks... They are overpowered, but a lot of them are kinda sloppy. Most of them could kill Hashira and Tanjiro very easily if they stop fooling around.
Muzan is not stupid hes just not strong enough to destroy the strongest armor of all... plot armor

Its like saying "i am gonna confess to my crush tomorow" and actually being on the spot to confess your crush, you get scared, the determination u had to do that task fades away and you start to overthink, you imagine every scenario where she rejects you knowing that she wont. same thing. he WANTS to kill tanjiro but cant do it when on the spot, also because of his cowardness he wants to play it safe, it already happened once where he was almost killed by someone he dosnt want it to happen again. thats why he takes the safe way out by converting just one person into a demon and not leave any leads...any big leads atleast.

Muzan is just that type of villain who wouldn't succeed as a human. He needed the power that he had to be scary. He is the epitome of a rich spoilt brat who firmly believes everyone else is below him. And that's what makes him terrifying.

Actually muzan had a plan that he kill the kamado family and then turn one into a demon,to test that a perfect demon could be made or not. Cause tanjirou has hinokami kagura [which is basically him inheriting his family dance which is infact use of natural energy]. So now one of the member of the family might be able to use that natural energy [used by slayers] and demonic energy to be immune to the sun cause it is the source of natural.But in the story tanjirou got lucky and didn't die or get transformed and muzan thought nezuko was dead.
He better do some scouting before hand. If this family is so crucial to his success, you need to know everything, from headcount to their meal plan. Who knows when you get another opportunity like that?
@@mahistv yes you have a point there he is basically like Aizen but dumber cause he could where nezuko is going or is she fighting with someone cause she is a demon and he killed tanjirou at that time when nezuko and tanjirou were slept[after giyu knocked them]. Overall I also thought about it and the video had lot of point which were good and actually shows how much plot armour.I also like how you answer to your community with your pov. :)
Muzan probably didn't react because he has PTSD .even his blood fears the earrings. It's beyond his own control. Also asking his henchmen to track Tanjiro was a safe move for him because he knew nothing of Tanjiro's strength at the time , and didn't want to risk another defeat. If the henchmen dies it's not his problem. Plus calling in the upper moons is not so easy. Muzan lives secluded and peacefully . Other than him the best demon, all the demons and moons have non human appearance ,for example akasa with his eyes ans pupils , tattoos and stuff. Kokushibo having three pairs of eyes as well. Etc. Muzan keeping them close would ruin his cover 100% especially since some moons and demons have crazy tendencies. So calling the moons in the middle of the night and all they might have to take a break during the day. Taking all that into aspect they wouldn't reach in time. So sending the henchmen he had with him , and since he wants peace and unblown cover there's only two of them, was the best thing he could do with his PTSD . Also he went to transform Tanjiro's family, i don't know , although it was stated that muzan did it it was because he was the one to turn people into demons. As wide spread as they are right now it's not stupid to say he might've not known about Tanjiro's family's lineage and was just on a walk to make new demons. I know upper moons can also turn humans into demons . But yeah
I've learned a lot since I made that video, however, I still think that wasting temari-girl and arrows was a bad move. They should have tailed him and spied to evaluate the situation, then, Muzan should have found a way to get Akaza to reach Tanjiro while he is on a mission or just outside the city. That won't blow his cover, also, he can just change into whatever else he wants to escape DS Corps and public
Yeah he could have kept them but did he really care about them ? Not necessarily, also he doesn't one to transform every time it seems
fair, he so coulda gotten away with sending doma tho, rainbow eyes aside he looks normal if not a bit pale
Hate to say it.. but you're about to be disappointed. Muzan's actions can be explained by fear. I wish he had such an elaborate plan like Aizen/what you said. It would have been amazing. You'll still probably enjoy the show though. The depth is just more shallow than expected.

Manga Spoilers: First of, it's not tanjiroh's dad, its yorichi, his ancestor's friend (I think you knew that but just in case). Second, muzan didn't just go to kamado's house and kill them for fun, he did that because their blood was special and they could become immune to sunlight (like nezuko became).
I've learned about Yorichi only recently, but haven't read the manga fully yet. Still, looks like I'm a big brain and was onto something with my "grand masterplan" idea)

Muzan went to the kamados house because he was aware that they where the keepers of sun breathing and sun breathing was the most strongest breathing most effective against him not just that but he only gave nezuko blood because he was TRYING to make a demon immune to sunlight and he thought she had died so he just left realising that it wasn't going to be easy to make a sun proof demon

Muzan encountered someone with the same earring, the same hair, the same eyes, the same flame like scar on the right side of his forehead, underestimateed him and got obliterated by this person. He wouldn't risk to be taken AGAIN so he created a diversion to keep Tanjirou busy while he run away to find a solution.
He then send two demons to test Tanjirou strengh to see if Tanjirou is like the original sun breather, turn out Tanjirou is just a normal slayer with the weakest breathing so Muzan let him go and never bothered to send demons after him again since he is no menace.
It's ONLY when Tanjirou used Hinokami kagura that Muzan take things seriously by sending Enmu the strongest lower-moon after him and then one of his most trustworthy Uppermoon
It makes sense not to take him seriously right away. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck - it's a duck. Sure, escape, send people to test him, but DON'T LET HIM GO. In one of my videos I proposed either getting Akaza or Kokushibo involved, which would have been super easy to do given his Infinity Castle teleportation ability
We only need to explain the two henchmen decision; after that, Tanjiro fights progressively harder opponents because he is specifically seeking them out and The Master thinks he has potential. I think it is conceivable that Muzan was just too afraid in the moment (because of the hanafuda earrings), so he just sent some henchmen to test Tanjiro's strength.
I see your point and agree with Muzan's hesitation, but cmon, he is your mortal enemy, you got to act decisively to either kill or transform him. Can't just sent a few nobodies and expect it to work
Muzan had the two henchmen because he doesnt like dealing with demon slayers himself after what happened with yoriichi, Muzan was simply using the two henchmen to do his bidding just like how he uses the kizuki and every other demon under him

Muzan can for a fact transfer blood, memories everything, that is hpw he made DKT(Demon King Tanjiro) after his own demise to the sun, knowing the kamados have a special ability to overcome the sun after the swordsmith village arc and nezuko overcoming sunlight

Muzan’s biggest mistake would probably be turning Nezuko into a demon.
It was a calculated risk and if he wasn't so bad at math, he would have succeeded.

I have an idea for the question " why did muzan kill the Tanjiro family "
so maybe after muzan fight with Tanjiro's dad what if tanjiro's dad gives him another chance to live and muzan use this chance to get more and more powerful to achieve his winning against Tanjiro's dad but when he comes to Tanjiro's house he finds out that he died so he lost control of himself for the anger of not being able to fight his rival and kill every one of his family
And maybe the reason why he helps tanjiro level up is just to let him be as strong as his dad and have his revenge

i think muzan was in shock and having flashbacks of the hanafuda earrings so he tried to play it cool cuz he didn't wanna get blitzed by sun breathing. he also killed all the sun breathers but since tanjiro had earrings he assumed he had the goat genetics like yorichii

Muzan was so trash lol. Anime in general have a habit of forgetting about the main villains until the very final fight which is so cliche and overdone. It’s always the henchmen doing all the work without a single peek at what the main villain is doing that made them so evil in the first place. Henchmen are okay; don’t get me wrong. It adds suspense to how a main villain functions and coordinates. The issue with henchmen in Demon Slayer is they all outshine main villain in terms of…everything. They all got some sort of development while Muzan comes once or twice, says some cryptic scary villain nonsense, then leaves. It would’ve been so much cooler if he was involved, like using his disguise powers to stalk tanjiro and Nezuko. Hell, imagine if one of the hashira was taken captive and Muzan was posting as one of them to get closer to tanjiro. That would’ve made so much more sense than all these side missions that have the same ending. Demon gets sad backstory at the end of fight, we’re forced to sympathize with pure evil, tanjiro gets sad because he’s as bland as toast, and end arc. My problem is the formula of demon slayer was just too simple. Evil henchmen come along, pick out a hashira or two to shine, das backstory, demon dies, everything is happy. With not one peek of Muzan in sight.
It could make sense. Muzan isn’t the focus. It’s trying to get Nezuko to be human again. Muzan is afraid of tanjiro yes. But that could’ve easily been written into his character and still made him active in the anime. He could still join the demons on their missions; but perhaps when it all goes to hell, he throws them in the hellfire to save himself then gets the glory of leaving unscathed. It makes him do much more menacing purely by the fact that he’s unaffected by what he just done. It’s cowardly, which would still well be in his character. There’s so many other ways the author could’ve went about this. They just chose the basic shonen route of making them nonexistent, come in and say evil things here and there, then show up for the final battle. It’s rarely done favorable and I have yet to come across an anime that done this right.
That’s not to say Demon Slayer is bad. It’s pretty good. But the anime is PACKED up with issues. From overdone character tropes to overusing personality traits for each character(AKA Tanjiro, Shinobu, Mitsuri, Uzui…) all the way to plot armor all over the place, it’s just as flawed as any other anime. As an avid demon slayer watcher, all these problems don’t necessarily make me wanna stop watching it. It just takes away some of the enjoyment I get because all these characters are severely underutilized. The saving graces for me personally was Rengoku, Kokushibo, Doma, Akaza, Gyutaro, and Genya. Those are the only characters that I felt had decent development and characterization to them. Everyone else stood the same(Tanjiro), got worse(Zenitsu, and I’m talking after the one shot fight he had.), or forgotten(Almost everyone in the anime that wasn’t important for that specific arc.) as well being used for fan service(Mitsuri, Daki, I would say mother spider demon but just showing your breasts in an outfit doesn’t count as fanservice to me). I adore demon slayer for the animation, designs(even though that too is overused), and monsters. I just don’t adore things and blindly follow the hype train when I know it’s all trash given good animation to blindsight everyone.
I agree. Having a few simple characters is fine, for example Daki and Gyotaro contrast adds flavor. But when every other character is like that - it gets boring. As you've said, arcs have a pattern and you can tell exactly the end result. Yes the process is interesting - fights and goofs and all, but from the very beginning I knew that Tanjirro squad wins, Muzan loses, everyone lives happily ever after. That's why I love Hunter x Hunter so much, basically does everything right and, most importantly, its unpredictable at times (most of the times). If not for animation and a colorful cast (literally and figuratively), it would be as bad as Black Clover for me.

Idk man they kinda wasted daki as a villain tbh. When I first watched the entertainment district arc, I legit got goosebumps when daki was first face revealed and they were doing a great job at building up the tension. Then they wasted it by turning her into a crybaby in 5 minutes.

Yorichi became friends with tanjiros ancestors after saving them from a demon I understand why some people think they are related tho but they aren't

Muzan was always a coward and a very sick human, he almost died as a baby and killed his doctor when, as an adult, didn't noticed immidiate change in the first dose of medicine he received only to learn that the medicine was working better than anything but he killed the only source of the knowleadge from where the plant comes from. He only made demons to see if one managed to withstand the sun and not because he liked their company or praises.
Tamayo was right when she said the man is a coward and lazy AF, even he had been in hiding for 400 years after killing the Sun Breathers along with the first Master who assisted the Demon Slayer Corp. Yes, the Hashiras were the ones in charge of the organization and the cursed family was just supporting them end Muzan due to the curse they have, this actually explains a lot regarding the attitude of mkst Hashiras during the mèeting with Tanjiro and Nezuko and why they threw Yoriichi from the org after he failed to kill Muzan and let Tamayo go as well the fact that his brother turned into a demon and would end up killing the first Master.

@@mahistv yeah, a lot of plot holes are fixed by the author on the manga so I recommend reading from Swordmith Village Arc up until the end to better understand most of the characters that said, my previous criticism of why Lady Tamayo didn't made an appearance after the fight with the Upper Six Demons (which would not be as hard to explain as how they portrayed Inoske dogging the mortal wound by mearly saying she was scouting a new hideout and seeing the destruction unfoulding) stands. Her existence and knowledge of Demon physiology (what they have been figthing all along but the Corp has had little chances to study in a controlled environment outside the Final selection (which seem to exist to hammer the hate against Demons to the new recruits) could throw a nice branch of knowledge their way).
It doesn't matter to me. Dope story. Refreshing anime. It's all good

Muzan makes more sense once you realize that he is a combination of selfishness and nihilism. He doesn't believe in the value of life or anything else for that matter so he sees no sense whatsoever in preserving anything besides his own life and desires. That's the point of SPOILERS
the dialogue he has with Tanjiro when they meet in the final arc and says that it makes no sense that the slayers would try to fight him rather than pick themselves up after surviving their interactions with demons and just live for themselves. The idea that anyone could care about the lives of others to the point where they are willing to risk their lives makes no sense to him, which also makes the scenes where the Moons see Yoriichi in Tanjiro more important. They show us that Muzan is a being who is yet to understand the real value of his life even after hundreds of years. The fact that he can throw the lives of humans (and demons) just like him into trash without a second thought is proof of that. Meanwhile Yoriichi and Tanjiro love life to such an extent that they do not value just their own existence, but those of their fellow humans as well. It's essentially a battle of ideals, the idea that self preservation would be the only thing that matters against the idea that life itself has value and thus all life is precious.
I mean sure, but he makes blatantly stupid decisions, regardless of what his views are. Keeping Tanjiro alive by feeding him progressively stronger enemies is just a bad move. Period.
@@mahistv That's a separate issue:) Although it could be argued that many times Muzan didn't send the demons after Tanjiro and rather it just so happened that Tanjiro ran into them in a good order for him. Even that is not entirely true since Akaza was the first upper moon he met.

The "Flat on your face" fail with or without plan. 4. "The sabotaged plan." I'm an expert in this area, honestly. 🤣

Muzan's only goal is to be the perfect creature
His methods to achieve this goal is to create demons untill eventually he creates a demon that is immune to the sun sometimes he can do and nezuko is that demon however he made a mistake since she broke free of his control which is why he's now trying to search for her as he knows she might be the one (later confirmed in the manga)
He won't fight tanjiro directly since he got his ass beat so baldy 400 years ago he's afraid to go up against a sun breathing user even if tanjiro isn't as strong as yoriichi the og user (kinda guessing here but he is afraid of both yoriichi and the technique)
Muzan could have even perfected without nezuko hundreds of years ago had he found the blue spider Lilly the flower that led to the medicine that made him a demon
If he left his doctor alive he would have know all about it and been perfected years ago
Basically, if Muzan didn't screw up literally everywhere, he would have been fine

I know Muzan is scared, but couldn't he have killed Tanjiro. I know it doe6happen because of plot, and the hanafuda earrings along with Sun Breathing, but Tanjiro at the time was very unexperienced with the technique. I can't help but look at Muzan and only see disappointment.

Muzan didn’t kill tanjiro because yeah he’s a coward. A. He didn’t want to draw attention. B. He’s scared of tanjiro being that his dad nearly killed him he’s not taking any risks. Also I feel like he went after tanjiros family but seeing as tanjiro wasn’t there he turned nezuko into a demon to finish the job and fled before day

didn't actually read the manga so idk if Tamayo is secretly stronger than upper 1 but, despite having a history with Muzan, I doubt it
I think Tamayo can't hold a handle even to a lower moon, Koku would have wiped the floor with them and wouldn't even notice their pathetic attempts to struggle.

Some times pure evil villains can be good just look at some early disney villains like scar or even others exples like joker but muzan is not good you get need to give them a good personality with the pure evil.

Muzan is a coward but i think he went to their house to try turning them into demons since their Yoriichi's descendant to see if one of them could concur the sun but all their bodies were too weak to handle his blood except nezuko Tbh if i were muzan train the dead weight lower moons harder even if they die then they become upper moons and you can have like 2 of each upper moons then boom you've eliminated the demon slayers i think i'm wrong :D

I think Koyoharu made a mistake killing off Tanjiro's father before the show. It would have been cool if Tanjuro fought Muzan. Despite being sickly, Tanjuro manages to use Sun Breathing to give Muzan a run for his money. When the snow settles, most of Tanjuro's family is dead with the exception of Nezuko. Sadly, Nezuko turned into a demon during the fight. This catches Tanjuro off guard and is killed by his daughter. Muzan prepares to kidnap Nezuko, but notices a Hashira is approaching. Before Muzan leaves, Tanjuro taunts him and says his son will avenge his family. Muzan leaves, but his mind cannot shake the Tanjuro's last words. The rest of the story pans out the same way. When he encounters Tanjiro, his father's words echo in his mind.
That would be more badass and even explain why he didn't take Nezuko!
Muzan has no need to flee from a single hashira coming. Also, tanjuro being already dead makes better sense. He was a man of peace, not one to pick up a sword. It takes years of consistent practice to be a swordsman, you can't just know a dance and give the demon king a run for his money. That would make tanjiros work feel cheap.

muzan probably didnt kill tanjiro because i dont think he was keeping a close eye on the kamado family (hes scared as fuck of the them, he probably thought like oh my god what if they see me and come kill me with sun breathing) so he tries turning them, only manages to turn nezuko and she isnt resistant to the sun, what now? he just leaves her there since he thinks its a lost cause.
Well, 2 points - Muzan sucks at sending scouts, Muzan sucks at patience and taking his experiments to infinity castle... nothing new here)

@@mahistvall of your comments about Muzan, he doesn’t project his power much like the Yakuza. They don’t have flashy or flagrant with there power. The Yakuza move “nothing” like the mob or mafia. They have more of a sophisticated and inconspicuous demeanor.
