I lived in Odenton (right across from the Marc) several years ago. I liked it, but I felt that I was still too far away from all the “action”. I moved to North Baltimore and was there for 2 years. After living in the city for a few years, I have now made the decision to move back to Odenton. All that action I thought I was missing out on I found was really overrated (not to mention, expensive). So in less than a week, I will be an Odenton resident once more. It took living in Baltimore for me to really appreciate Odenton!
This is a great perspective! I’ve lived in Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, DC, and did my undergrad years in Baltimore (Towson University). I’ve always been in the action, but wouldn’t mind trading it for more peace. I mainly considered it because it is on the Penn Line and I mainly use public transportation. I like that it’s between Union Station and Penn Station with quick access to BWI since I’m a big traveling. Definitely a city I’ll keep in high on my consideration list.
I had the opposite experience. I was living in Baltimore and thought about moving to Odenton - I'd lose out on fun, but at least save some money. But a similar quality apartment to mine in Baltimore (in a nice area too) was like 150-200 MORE in Odenton, AND those apartments were in a boring middle of nowhere area??? It makes no sense. this was early 2023
I've lived in Odenton since 2011 it's nice here now that i have kids I'd say my only complaint about the area is there aren't many options for middle/high school age students in the immediate area
Hi Paula, the weather in Odenton is very similar to the Central Maryland area as a whole. If you'd like, we can set up a time to chat to discuss the weather further in the different areas of Maryland. Here is the link to schedule some time to chat: calendly.com/audreyrozier1/letschat
