I remember the first time I saw that IT whammy (who I call "Whammywise"), I was SO not expecting the jumpscare...and when the jumpscare happened, I screamed so loud! It was just weeks after I was given "the fourth whammy in the coffin" (in other words, being evicted from my apartment in Albion, NY). Every time that IT whammy animation would come on (like what happened in last night's episode of PYL), I would have to clench my eyes shut.
I love how the Whammy is being served up more karma these days by him ending up getting seriously injured or even killed (but somehow coming back to life) far more often than he did in the old days. I guess the creators are becoming less and less sympathetic towards him in this current era.
