- A fun project to tackle. This is all five of the 2005 Game Show Moments Gone Bananas specials, but with practically none of the introductions, segues, or in-studio games. Just 146 minutes of the highest video quality clips, nothing but funny game show moments from the Goodson-Todman and Fremantle libraries. Some of Ben Stein's narration remains. Richard Dawson will ALWAYS be the best host of Family Feud.

How can you get lucky to be chosen as a contestant on these game shows?I tried out for Wheel of Fortune,ended up as an audience member, Weakest Link twice and was unfairly denied, Let's Make A Deal(Wayne Brady version)with my grandma and cousin Emma,all of us we're ignored,Deal or No Deal twice,saw Howie Mandel in person while waiting on the line,no luck either, however,there was a question that was very interesting,What would you do if you won a million dollars?I put the only smart answer:Share it with my family.Also TPIR Live hosted by Mark L.Walberg.Though I wasn't chosen as a contestant,at least I spun the wheel on the dollar.If it was the Drew Carey TPIR,I'd have a bonus spin for either $10,000 on a green 5 or 15,or another dollar land for $25,000.I love watching game shows,am excited,seems they're always making things harder for me and that's not fair.
BOB BARKER was always hilarious when something went wrong.
Gene Rayburn had a knack for making anything sound dirty, just by that grin of his.
And by always fully extending his microphone.

Gene Rayburn comforting the woman who was so nervous that she couldn’t remember her husband’s name was equally funny and heartwarming. Her husband seemed like a great sport about it too.

And it’s just kids being kids. Pageant girls have expectations from the time they’re tiny. These kids are being natural kids.
It just so happens it’s really entertaining for everyone.
I was thinking the same exact thing. A reboot would be refreshing, with kids having access to phones and computers and such an early age, their answers would be epic.
I'd never heard of that show before today. It is an interesting idea.
I loved that one kid's description of Dolly Parton: "I bet she can float on the water easily."
The September clip will always be the best! I never saw Richard crack up so hard as he did.
At 1:54:10 it's one of the sweetest moments I've ever seen on any game show. Bless his heart for making an exception in her case and for showing exceptional kindness to Jane there, a woman who obviously was very grateful for what he did and I'd bet she will ALWAYS remember that kind act he did for her that day. It really was great to see a man stick his neck out for another like that and go against the rules to do what he did for her. 👏👏👏❤
There are people out there who think game show hosts are soulless, egotistical and vain... Larry Emdur is quite the opposite! You can tell that his mother did an exceptional job raising him. What a beautiful, kind soul he has to have done that for her!

The American "The Price is Right' of the 70's and 80's had a lot of wild energy from both the contestants and the audiences! But, particularly, in the 70's!!
This was all planned out. They picked the ppl to put on as contestants by how happy and energetic the person was in line to get in to the show. I dont know if its true

Literally all game show hosts from this era need to be scrutinised!? They had TOTAL control over audiences and contestants. Of course some were the perfect gentleman that they needed to be... But a heck of a lot were NOT ok and committed serious violations ON camera.. Who knows what they did after the film stopped rolling..

I love these reruns. The British ones I have never seen before & you can tell they are more risque than the Americans hands down. Some of these I actually saw the first time around. I needed a good laugh anyway.
the one show was way too sadistic for me, like some weird horror movie.
It's a lot less risque when you remove the many clips from Distraction. That show seems to have been designed specifically for Jimmy Carr's style of dark comedy (he's the host) and only ran for 2 seasons

I was a contestant on MatchGame79, episode 1363. I lost. Gave a really stupid answer but in recently seeing it, I realized I couldn't have won anyway as the panel each had a different answer. I could only have matched one.

A LOT of great celebrities on here, but my favorite appearance was Brad Garrett's 26:55. Gene Rayburn was a MASTER host, and so much fun! Bert Convy was a looker, but boy did he make a lot of mistakes; he kept telling the object word!

"Distraction" I adore. I also loved "Classic Concentration", "Cram", "Match Game" and "Family Feud".

I grow cactuses and I wonder how many of those contestants needed to go to the ER after that show. I gave my mom a cactus once.... ONE TIME and she ended up at the ER to remove the spines. The spines literally cause pain even after you pull it.
I fast forwarded through anymore segments of the show, after seeing that. Putting people through pain is sadistic for entertainment's sake.😢

Not really. A lot of game shows purposely pick contestants that are unknown, young actors.
You might recognize the young man at 1:19:08. He's Devin Ratray, who played Kevin's older brother Buzz in the first two Home Alone movies. He's also appeared in Better Call Saul and had roles in episodes of Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Wow, thank you so much for the memories! I remember these times bc I watched it, not the UK but American. I'm from Ontario, Canada & turned 60 last Sept, 2022, so this was such a refresher & a laugh. No Newly Wed, I watched that growing up & it was hilarious at times.

The first time I ever saw Jimmy Carr on TV was "Distraction" and I only remember the elastic band game and Jimmy said to someone; you look like you've gone 10 rounds in a boxing match XDXD A show like that would not be showing today
