    First row, behind home plate in the 500s are great, especially for the money.

    Had seats at Tiger Stadium, lower level, about 20 rows up, couldn't see the sky, upper deck covered us, couldn't see a pop up or a home run ball land, at the mercy of the crowd who could see, that's obstructed view seating!

    They do have slushies and ice cream for kids but you have to ask around to find them. Of course they are a rip off - $10 for a slushy. Also, around $15 for crappy beer. As far as seats are concerned, level 500 behind home plate or along the foul lines up to mid point is the best view for the money. Cheers

    Those are still good seats and me personally, I prefer this view as I get a complete look of the field.

      Well a lot of those seats, especially in the outfield, are getting removed or replaced. It’s a shame because even the 500 level outfield seats were still good seats to watch the game

    Things are about to change! Looking forward to the new look in the outfield. I hope they also add a dirt warning track instead of what's there now. It's better for players because they can feel where they are and It's esthetically more appealing from a fans perspective, and makes it feel like a real ballpark.

    They are alot better when the roof is open. Plus you can pick up a seat up there soooo cheap you really can't complain... & they are spending MILLIONS renovating the whole interior over the next 2 years & the 500s are going to have less seating & what looks like some great public areas ;o)

    Your allowed to bring in any food you want. As long as it is wrapped or in a package.

    You would not recognize the stadium today. So much has changed since you posted this video. All the five hundred level seats have been replaced by new ones. The outfield 500 sections have been blown out and replaced by social bars and public hang out spaces. The outfield 100 level areas have been completely reimagined and opened up. The 100 level has been completely reconfigured and replaced a true baseball experience. It's actually been turned into a baseball only facility. All of these changes have resulted in a reduced stadium capacity...down from 53000 to 40069.

    500 level is steep and front row railing is low. So you are afraid of heights or have kids with you, buy seats maybe three or four rows behind first row.

    I wonder if Rogers Center is also the home of football teams, like the Argonauts, or a college team?

    • @BlockingThePlate
      @BlockingThePlate  Год назад +5

      No, they play at the newer BMO Field, which is down by the water on Lake Ontario.

    • @timbit2121
      @timbit2121 Год назад +4

      It used to be the Argo’s stadium as well, and the field was converted back and forth between baseball and football (hence the 100 level seats not facing home plate, but the centre of the field)

    • @adamjohnson6715
      @adamjohnson6715 Год назад +3

      The Argo’s used to play here, from 1989 when the skydome was opened to 2015 when they moved to BMO field. Because of this being the home of the Blue Jays as well, the place had to be a multipurpose stadium (which is the reason why it has so many outfield seats and has seats in the lower bowl that don’t face the baseball diamond). However, now that it’s been 7 whole years since the Argo’s moved out, the stadium is becoming a baseball specific stadium with a $350 million CAD renovation beginning right as the Blue Jays finished their 2022 MLB season. The renovation is going to remove the 500 level outfield seating and replace it with club seating, bars, and restaurants. The seats that are way up high and blocked by the lights are going to be removed completely, along with all of the seats in the stadium, as they are small and uncomfortable. The only things not changing in the renovations are the retractable roof, the field turf, and the exterior (which I personally think is a bummer because the exterior makes the stadium look like a hunk of concrete and it could maybe use some tv screens).

    • @BlockingThePlate
      @BlockingThePlate  Год назад +3

      @@adamjohnson6715 I agree. The exterior needs a face lift and is definitely showing wear. And I'm sorry, but 'The Audience' statue/sculpture things gotta go!

    • @adamjohnson6715
      @adamjohnson6715 Год назад

      @@BlockingThePlate Many people would hate to see the statue go, but I’ve honestly never really understood what that statue is supposed to mean. I wouldn’t mind seeing it go because to me, it just sits there and doesn’t really do anything for the stadium. People would argue that it makes the stadium unique, but other stadiums also have something like that as well. If they were to do something with the statue, they could at least put it on the ground or just get rid of it entirely. If they put it on the ground, then maybe they could put a sign up that explains what the statue is and what it means.

    That is the level that they will be getting rid of when they do the renovation this year

    • @kevwwong
      @kevwwong Год назад

      They're not getting rid of the upper deck, just doing a reno of it. I think a lot of the outfield seats will go, and some of the very back rows, but there will still be a 500 level.

      I am a Canadian I am a Toronto blue date fan and I know for a fact that they are renovating got whole 500 level this year I think I know what I’m talking about when they come to that regard because I am a Canadian and you are from Seattle so I’m not trying to be mean or anything but do not doubt a Canadian when they tell you they are renovating that whole level 500 level

      @@andrewmccloskey2421 I'm Toronto born and raised. Been a Jays fan since Bobby Cox was manager. Been to the Dome for MLB, CFL, NFL, NBA and WWF. So yeah, I'm familiar with the place.
      The issue is that you said "getting rid of" which implies something other than the reno they're doing, so I think it's a bit of misunderstanding on my end.
