Yeah, if you actually gave Phantom Hourglass a try you’d find an exceptional handheld zelda adventure with enough collectibles to keep a completionist busy for a month.
Their only real problems was how cheap Zelda 2 can get, Zelda 2's limited extra lives, the Ocean King temple place, and the DS games' stylus-only controls.
Zelda II The Adventure of Link is a good game. I don't understand the reasoning that the games is way too "different" as the second game it was still too early to judge it like that!. Experimentation that only diden't hurt the series.

If you can get past its different gameplay, Zelda II is a good game, it was easier for me to get into than the original. I got good enough at the game to beat it without getting a game over.
A little late but I think botw was aiming at a different type of game, while being a Zelda game but was less of a Zelda game then others, so it’s hard to compare those. I like botw better because the big open world, but that’s just me
The most hilarious thing about the CD-i Zelda games (well, two of them anyway) is that when WoG and FoE were released, those cutscenes were actually praised! Reviewers liked the animation and the voice work-not all of them, of course, but a good number of them-and showered the games with positivity over them. Nowadays we just point and laugh at the terrible cutscenes, of course, but it’s so weird to think that in ‘93, they were seen as one of the best parts of the games!
I feel like the Phillips CD-I trilogy should have been all put into one entry, this list was kindof lame because all 3 CD-I games are basically the same and EVERYONE knows how bad they are, could’ve added some originality and mixed up the list instead of using half of the list to show us the same CD-I game with a different coat of paint.
Zelda:The Wand of Gamelon 1993 is the worst game and the ridiculous game ever of the legend of Zelda nowadays it is well known for its funny and hilarious memes that they remember today
Adventure of Link and Links Crossbow Training are solid games, not to mention 4 Swords - Links crossbow training is perfect for playing a Zelda title with your parents, who aren't massively into gaming. Because of this, it can work as a solid gateway into the core series. As for Adventure of Link, some of its mechanics are still present in the series today, such as the Magic Meter, as well as adding to the series' combat systems (like jump-slashes, which are used in later series entires). 4 Swords introduced the series to multiplayer, but I think MojoPlays miss the point about when it was released - during the GBA era, most people had a Pokémon game on their system, which meant they either had a link cable or a wireless adaptor within easy reach, making the multiplayer much more accessible. I guess that sort of thing has been forgotten in the age of instantaneous, built-in multiplayer though.
Watchers, don't believe what this guy says. His list sucks and he probably never even played Zelda 2. It's unlike the rest of the series? There was only 1 game out during the time of it's release and everyone loved it at the time! Apparently the phrase "git gud" doesn't apply to Zelda 2, but it applies to games like Cuphead which isn't half as rewarding. Anyone that disses Zelda 2 isn't a Zelda fan!
The CD-i games in the top three are total cop-outs. They weren't even developed by Nintendo. Also, Skyward Sword is definitely more deserving to be on this list than Zelda 2. Fuck that game!
I haven't played all of the mainline games, or any of the spinoff games aside from Age of Calamity. Of the games I _have_ played, Phantom Hourglass is probably my least favorite. The game isn't terrible, it's got a decent story and fun characters (I love Linebeck, he's hilarious), and the puzzles are reasonably fun for the most part. But I don't like the touch controls, and I HATE the Temple of the Ocean King. It is the WORST Zelda dungeon I have ever encountered. That being said, the clips I've seen from the CDi games make my eyes and ears feel like they're bleeding. So I can't give PH too much crap.
I don't think many Zelda games can really be classified as downright bad, because a lot of them are so different from each other they just come down to what kind of games you prefer
Honestly i thought it would have more Tingle games in the list, i didn´t play Triforce Heroes to argue but i agree with the rest although i didn´t played most of them either, minus Zelda II, never got to finish that one, coudn´t stand how boring that is, except for the cities with the name of what would be the sages in OoT, that was a nice touch.

Zelda 2, Four Swords, and Triforce heroes shouldn't be on there. They are really fun games and shouldn't be on the worst list. I bet you just picked them because they were different from the rest of the series, why not put breath of the wild or majora's mask on the list, would it have even mattered?

You fight 4 different Ganons before fighting two final Ganons #5 No character development. #6 No Classic soundtrack or traditional sound effects when getting items!!! This one was game ending for me. You spend the majority of time climbing things only to find out there is nothing to be found or scouted. Your time consuming earned weapons break within 1-2 enemy confrontations.
