Since we ended Sick Week a little bit early we tried to fix my Mini Jet Boat the right way.... it didn't end too well but overall it's faster!

Heat up a bit of almond milk instead and mix it with that. Tastes much better. Not great, but better.
Whiskey will fix the taste.
Pro-tip: always put your ratchet straps on the passenger side, that way if you have to pull off the roadway to tighten them up you don't have to stand along passing traffic
I like that thinking. I've always put them on the driver's side so that I can see them easier.
That's a good tip, I'm going to start doing it that way.
I believe DOT requires it to be on the driver side in order for the driver to check on the ratchets… I could be wrong I’ll have to confirm online lol

The bolts and nuts rack is another sign of how fast this shop has evolved. It was just a moment ago that McFarland racing was James and Garrett hanging out in the corner of the Fasterproms shop with a janky tool kit.

I have a gut feeling that the Dew boat is going out in a blaze of glory, that the hull is going to recycling heaven after Idaho and something more experimental and stronger takes it's place..
I think you're right. Any more rocks hitting an already weakened aluminum hull will push it back out of shape and change the thrust angle of the jet drive. You can tell the thrust angle is still off by how much bow is in the water. If Cleeter had a way to adjust the thrust angle of the jet drive without beating the hull with heavy equipment it would sorta "fix" the problem.
I agree. I build Aluminum Skiffs with 5086 Marine Grade Aluminum. It’s a brittle aluminum they use on big ships. Once aluminum takes a hit or gets a dent, it has a memory and will almost always go back to that shape easier than the first hit. I bet Cleetus goes for the new 4 seat design model like the Motion Boat. He really liked the design as he was talking about it. He will have a car seat in the back for Little Ripper. A Hot Rod family model. lol

Doing 50 mph on water feels like you're doing a 80 mph. When I was little my dad bought a used boat I asked what's the top speed he said 40 miles an hour I thought it was slow until I got on it felt like i was going 100. Keep up the great content guy's
We had a pleasure boat later in my youth that did 35. I thought that was slow til I got on a tube behind it lol. My dad could swing that 35mph around like it was 55. Lol
I've since then tubed behind a 55-60mph boat and it was mostly under 40, but he did open it up a few times and that felt like doing 110 that close to the water 😂
Before that boat we had a boat that would do 60-65 and that was just not usable where we lived.

@@markchapman2585 shew, I got to have tons of fun nobody would allow kids to have these days. My dad let me drive a forklift and taught me how to properly drive and use it, to move things onto and off of pallet racks, at 7 or 8 years old (it was an automatic or shuttle drive,not really sure which, but no clutch necessary)
I also grew up riding ATCs (3 wheelers, aka the death machines lol) and all the fun stuff. He also let me drive our first boat around the same age, after that he let me drive any boat we owned, until we sold the last one when I was in high school.

I have to tell you cleet, i don’t know where else to let you know this. And maybe other peeps are having the same problem. I can’t watch you videos on my tv. I use the RUclips app on my 2022 Samsung. Can't see Cleetus using a library ladder........more like some kind of modified scissor lift!.....😆
Remove that plastic shielding, and weld on a new bottom that is properly contoured over the existing bottom. Then fill the gap with epoxy. And then reattach the plastic. You'll be adding a little bit of weight, but the wait will be added mostly in the back where you would want it, and you'll get a proper shape. Otherwise carry it to an automotive body shop and they'll be able to force it into shape course you are weakening the aluminum every time you do that so once you get it to the proper shape I would weld aluminum plates to it both to reinforce it and to add a bit of strength. Then the plastic on top of that
Definitely this. It's a jet boat that gets the shit beat out of it, not an off shore speed boat - durability is needed here over 'ideal' weight distribution.

@@NightshiftCustom Yes, because it's basically an arch shape from the backside, and arches are strong. Reverse arches are not strong, and it's basically a reverse arch from the bottom side, the side that's taking all the impacts when Cleet is launching this thing over logs and boulders. Not to mention, since it got dented, it's stretched the aluminum around that dent, so it's going to be easier to re-dent. That hull definitely needs work beyond just some whacks with an excavator, it's pretty thrashed.
One thing that disappoints me is that BoostedBoiz Kyle has a turbocharged K-swapped jet boat that faster than yours and you haven't responded. Where is the twin turbo LS swapped jet boat? You have the technology! Time to take back the crown!

Does the Bolt and Nuts system work with an app so that when you need a specific bolt in your inventory you can search on your phone and it will say in which bin and slot it is? If so super cool and handy. If not you should look into it.

Annealing the aluminum would have helped a easy way to do that draw all over the area with a sharp heat the aluminum frome the opposite side till the sharpie marks disappears and you should be good to go . Aluminum work hardens so when you bash it in to stuff or beat on it it makes the aluminum harder and eventually brital (alot of time thats when you get breakage) something to keep in mind good to see dew getting some run time in .
