Favorite part of the video for me is near the end when they are reflecting on the day ... They are just talking and smiling and truly appreciating this charmed life they are living together.
AGREE! In addition Kyde and Eric make the simplest things in life wonderful. That is what attracts me the most to their vlogs. No amount of money can buy that!
The "Gladiator Arena" is a an old dry dock for a ship to pull in. It is pretty cool how there are some shops that are within the dry dock....Knowledge is power...keep up the great vids!
Love every single 1 of your videos. I went and watched every video you posted on your travels through Asia and Egypt, and gave them all a "thumbs up" I won't stop watching you guys until you get tired of making videos and retire from youtube! You both stay safe and healthy(no food poison!) on your future journeys! Take care both of you
At 12:51 the gladiator arena looks exactly like a ship building dock. I'm guessing the area was famous for shipbuilding or for being a commercial area for haulage at some point in history. I've never seen a dock so decorative before with the fountain and the huge building beside of it.
I really enjoy watching those videos. And really do hope people who have spare money to contribute for the travels you guys make and are planning to make. I understand its not funday everday but the videos you guys make look really genuine. Keep enjoying life because i feel you guys deserve it.
9:10 When I was a kid my mom made apple fritters and corn fritters all the time. I think it's something like pancake batter mixed in with corn, apple, whatever, and then we deep fried them and ate them with maple syrup. 12:46 This looks like a dry dock for doing ship repairs. Is there a lot of water nearby? Edit: I'm looking at the "arena" in Google Earth and I see there's water right next to it plus a big sailing ship there for scale reference and it's about the same size, so I'm betting it is a dry dock. That's my sleuthing for the day.
+Kyde and Eric The whole video was great, But them breakfast plates looked amazing! I also enjoy you guys reflecting on the whole experience at the end. Cant wait for the next K&E adventure!
kyde n eric do u have the date set to visit the philippines,n will they be any scooter cruising?😆 hope this trip comes through..👍👍 let me know to recommend places to visit.
_Good Morning is exactly what this video is saying. Fate has made it...even this is a refreshing watch. Just to feel and smell the morning freshness of this video!! Def puts me in the clear state of mind Sundays!! I like sundays. Great! Mention!! To sleeping tips from Kyde!! Great to see Eric! Enthusiastic! As always!! I liked this video! For being informational/Educational. Good times with Kyde & Eric yet again!! Traveling capturing wonderful screen shots!!! Whenever you two have time to sleep in love hotels!! Are one of the best times for me!! I just sit back and relax normally while eating popcorn! Laughing at what you two get into next!! laughing chuckling casually. . . Nice new mention!! On the price and quality reviews. The massaging chair. Suspect. :) lol.
Peekacchoo sounds like spying on a sneeze. :-) One question I have is that there are some places that our touristy but worth it and some are not. Is, in your opinion, Enoshima worth it?
if a youtuber has a patreon page where money can be donated, is that money taxable?...is it seen as income ? I always wondered how it all works . please don't think I am being nosey I am just curious as to how it works . another great vid .
damn ...he never looses lol really enjoy your vids ...hope you and eric can do a joint hitchhike trip this time going south lol thanks for the reply ... cheers.
I usually hit Jonathan's if I want breakfast foods and think the quality is a little bit better than Denny's in Japan. The red brick warehouse is a fun place to explore as they have some cool shops. The pancakes looked amazing. Been to the top of Landmark Tower as their observatory has an amazing view of Yokohama and makes for some great pics. Never been on the Sea Bus in Yokohama although I have ridden down the Sumida River in Tokyo on the spaceship like Himiko. Lots of fun at night especially.
Kyde, if you like ma po tofu, you can easily cook it yourself. Get a pack of hard tofu, not the soft kind. Bring water to boil and drop it in cook for 2mintes. Get it out and cut it to cube. Get some fat ground pork, mix with starch not too much, ground garlic and red dry hot pepper. Bring frying pan oil to hot, drop in chopped green onion and soy sauce. Make sure to have something to cover the pan. Wait a minute then drop in pork. Once the pork turned white color drop in tofu. Stir it none stop from the bottom for 5 minutes and you are done. You can dd a bit of brown sugar and sesame when you cook the pork. Cost very little but goes great with rice.
The Pancakes probably had Buckwheat flour in them. That would be the 'grainy' bit. The red brick buildings I believe are from the initial trade with the US and the west. That was probably a trading storehouse. Converted into shops. I have no idea what the gladiator arena actually was, but I think it may have been a dry dock for repairing western ships in it's initial life. Unless of course, if it is very far from the waters edge.
Loved the video, What if your living in Japan and homesick for some food from home, What ingredients can you find at a Grocery store? Flour tortillas, corn tortillas , miracle whip , ( I abhor mayonnaise btw) chocolate chips etc?
+MrKingofbos The longer you are away from home the less you crave things from home, it's no big deal. Plus it helps that Japanese food is amazing. -Eric
+Kyde and Eric Oh nice, thanks for replying Eric One last question, if you had a choice between Osaka and Kyoto, which of the two would you pick to live in? I notice that property in Kyoto is significantly cheaper and I mean by a huge margin compared to Tokyo. Osaka seems pretty cheap too. Do you think Kyoto is too small and will get boring rather quickly? Thanks
+NihonH2ppy Having not lived in either it's hard to say, but I think I like the quaintness of Kyoto more. However you will have herds of tourists around all the time, so that detracts from it a bit. Osaka is gritty by Japan standards, so if you are into that feel it might be a better fit. Either way, they are less than an hour away from each other so both will be accessible. -Eric
Great video! Made me hungry as hell. Maybe they do the pita like that to absorb the meet juice and all the flavor. it really should have been bigger though. See you guys.
Wow! that's alot of pikachyu at the festival!!! Have you guys ever been to Pokemon cafe in Japan? I think you'll get a kick out of eating pikachyu themed food! I think there is one located near by you guys in Ikebukuro.
I'm from Singapore, the chicken rice kick factor comes from the chili sauce. you need to dip the chicken into the specially made chili sauce, and I would mix some of it into the rice. I love things to be spicy.
There is a Pikachu car that hits all the anime and scifi conventions around the midwest and south here in the US, so I assume you actually *can* buy them somehow. It's a custom Volkswagon Beetle, I think. It's privately owned. I don't think they're there for advertizing, just nerds there to enjoy the conventions with everyone else.
Yes! I can't wait to watch this after work, with all its unpleasantries. Oh, God, I hate my life. But, yes, should be a pleasure.. MY PLEASURE. LOL! Thanks though.
when u were at the breakfast place, i saw Japanese people eating with knives/fork, i don't think I've seen that on your videos b4. Is that just because it was a 'breakfast' restaurant?
You guys need to buy some damn umbrellas! ... On a side note, I think I rewatched that pika pika pika pik dance at the end of the video about 50 times.
Pita Sandwich look like Xian style Chinese food, which is pretty popular now in NYC. $2.50 gets you a pulled lamb in cumin flavored sauce (not Jizz Eric) with the similar bun you guys ate, but at full size. What the heck is that DeKa? Yoohoo looking drink in the vending machine in the end there?

The large, old brick buildings used to be used as warehouses when the main method of shipping goods was by ships, literally, before the age of highways and air cargo. They have become useless as warehouses so they were renovated as tourist attractions. The brick buildings that you saw in Otaru are exactly the same thing. Otaru was even more prosperous than Sapporo when we relied on ships because Sapporo does not face the sea. You had to have a port to be a big city back then. (This is the last time I will comment in English, too!)
+masaegu Thanks so much for the info! Very interesting! Never thought about how Sapporo didn't have a port, I wonder why the city grew there instead of Otaru. -Eric
😍😍😍😍😍 Pikachuuu mania!!! I wanted to see more pikachu..😣 specially wiggling their tail..😆 there should have been a pikachu pastry like the fish one..9000y for the love hotel is that like $85 per nite?

I know just enough Japanese to also notice that the hotel is called "hotel kanji kanji kanji" and after a minor struggle realized the sign said something about free time too?

the stork logo for the love hotel cracks me up. a little ominous, no? :P
Chicken rice is a popular dish in Malaysia too. I would highly recommend folks trying it in Malaysia.
Yea, had it there too! Great stuff! -E
Just added Pikachu festival on the list of things I will do when I hit Japan next year. If it's there next year.
Looks amazingly fun. Haha

+ghaida h Hahaha, I still wonder if I dreamt it! -Eric
Oh u guys going to Philippines
Haha the opening ! But maybe you accidentally booked a 'smoking allowed' room ?
Love hotels in our experience are all smoking. Well, the shady cheap ones we use last minute at midnight on a weekend are anyways.
+Hidden Thicket Acres Sounds awesome! I'm jealous! -Eric
I'm not sure how to read the kanji for hotel kanji kanji but the three symbols roughly translates to map within the ocean
We didn't know the reading either, but it means Mediterranean Sea.
Yes! I can't wait to watch this after work, with all its unpleasantries. Oh, God, I hate my life.
But, yes, should be a pleasure.. MY PLEASURE. LOL! Thanks though.
+ImmaTonTon Haha, hope you enjoyed! -Eric

+readyset Sounds awesome! -Eric

Looks like Hainan chicken. Very popular street food in Thailand. Rice cooked in chicken broth made from chicken bones.
Yea, it's very similar! I could be wrong, but I thought it originated in Singapore. Either way, great stuff! -Eric
I thought it was originally from Hainan province in China which makes sense with the large Chinese populations in SIngapore
