They gave the Hardcore Title to Undertaker to try and get some legitimacy to it. It worked until he dropped the belt and it went back to the 24/7 rule. The kayfabe reason no one attacked Taker while he held it was that no one was stupid enough to jump him
When Virgil won that Million Dollar Belt, it was probably the 2nd or 3rd largest pop of the night (LOD and Bret Hart's wins). Man, as a 9-year old kid sitting in the seats of MSG that night...man, just go back and listen to that crowd pop when he beat DiBiase. I was one of those fans that night way back in 1991. It was the best match of Virgil's brief career.
I think him and Kurt Angle were really the main 2 guys that made that belt feel worthy of winning. Everyone else had the feel of " here's so and so, looking to get noticed. And btw, he has a title too"
2:05 respectfully we have heard about the European title making a return, Drew McIntyre said on social media that he'd like it to return, and Ludwig Kaiser, when he challenged LA Knight [YEAH] for the U.S. title in Germany, said that if he won, he would make it his "personal European title."
There's actually another WWF Lightheavyweight title. It was part of the J-Crown that Ultimo Dragon held. It even appeared on WCW television before the 1997 version.

The European title was perfect for what it was: to give midcarders something to fight over. I remember Dean Malenko having the Lightheavyweight belt for so long that he stopped carrying it around.
The reason I love the 24/7 Championship and will do forever is because, despite it not being what most wanted and doing little in the end, it was made such a big deal with not just R Truth but every wrestler he fueded with for the title, and they all took it and made comedy gold with it, the segments where it was fought and defended in public places are always fun to watch
I think you should have at least 6 belts per show. With over 100 performers that's not allot to ask for. That's 1 major title, 1 upper mid card title, 2 mid card, and then tag team titles, and 1 specialty title (hardcore, etc.). I think that's a respectable amount because we know as much as we love seeing all the stars, there's no way you'll see even Bron Breaker with the title short of an injury and it gets dropped to him. Peace
NXT UK had some great title designs. Also they should bring back the NXT women tag titles since that division has a lot of tag teams now along with a deep roster of women talent
The European title actually had solid holders and probably could have stayed relevant longer imo. I was sad when the cruiserweight belt started losing steam. Gregory Helms was the last solid holder the first time it debuted on WWE but once Hornswoggle had it I knew it was finished. The Hardcore title had and still can have so much relevancy today but remove the 24/7 rule off it.
With guys like Axiom, Nathan Frazer, Je’von Evans, and the Rascalz, I think there’s enough super talented high-flyers to reform a Cruiserweight division. I don’t know if I actually want that myself, but it is an option if WWE are ever interested
It's a shame that cruiserweight titles have never had such a good run in WWE, as throughout its history the company has had very talented cruiserweights to lead the division
Bring back the European Title (I want them to return as soon as when WWE launches NXT Europe). I can feel that WWE Speed Title (for both of male and female) in this list when Andy making a part two of this video
If the rumor is true about the women’s midcard titles (US and IC) they need to bring by back European and Crusierweight for men’s as well, the Euro title can have special rules or conditions (2/3 falls must win with a pin and submission to focus on skill set) there is plenty of Undercard talent that need something to fight over
@@Showtime6192009 if the shows remain 2 hours than no maybe just mid card titles for the ladies and no on Euro and Cruiser but if the rumor about both SD and RAW going 3 hours by Jan than I don’t think it’ll hurt them. R-Truth holds the record for the most overall championship reigns in WWE. With 54 24/7 title reigns, 2 Hardcord title reigns, 2 U.S. title reigns and 2 tag titles reigns.
It'd be cool if they brought the European championship back for the rumored midcard women's title instead of the more likely and boring just "Women's Intercontinental" or "Women's United States" championship.
Honestly the European belt should kinda be back in the main roster under this rule only though only European wrestlers are only eligible to compete for it he’ll include Oceania
[ You forgot to mention that Marie was the 1st pregant 24/7 Champion as well as Johnny TV & Kane was ECW World Champion ]. Truth be told : WWE over the years wasted money on belts that won't cut the mustard ( What's the point to have them around )! The Crusierweight Title would be truly value if it was called the middleweight title & be a secondary title for NXT ( Looking at the roster than & Now 90% of them are middleweights ). As for the Women's & Men's WWE Tag Team Belts I don't see WWE have them. WWE have enough resources to take those ( Who been drafted but not seen ) make them into Teams to make WWE'S Tag Team Division Great ( Having Make-Shift Tag Team devalue the titles & won't worth a nickle ).
I feel like the European belt should have been brought back and redesigned for the NXT UK brand with the NXT European Championship as the Main title and the NXT UK Championship as the midcard similar to the North American title.
I wouldn't mind seeing the european title and hardcore coming back some great wrestlers have worn those belts i suppose the lightweight championship will be up there too everyone loves a highflyer😃😃😃😃
The trash didn't even want the 24/7 title They honestly could've booked it better. Living room matches, drive thru matches, restaurant and grocery store matches, etc.
I know they plan on giving the women both an IC & US titles' but I think it would be cool if the women had either a cruiserweight or a light heavyweight title as well too! Maybe this is something they could do with the women's speed title in the future and switch it to one of the other two I just mention? I just feel the women would have better luck with it then the men did but who knows? Good job on these defunct titles but you will have to do a part 2 as there were many other ones that wwe/f had at one time such as the wwf martial arts title, jr heavyweight title, divas title, the original wwf women's tag team titles and even Zack Ryder's Internet title just to name a few. But yes I think you will have more then enough for a part 2' make it happen.
