“Self made” by her family and teachers…which she wonderfully acknowledges..they and more made her able to be “Self-made”/independent and interdependent (how she does such a great job creating and working with a team) ultimately after being quite dependent first . Abbot is so much about “The Village” that creates us and not so much about individualism which i appreciate.
I love that she said she doesn’t want to tackle important issues off the bat. Like myself I want to tell stories, like my comic, that are fantasy or sci-fi. The important messages will naturally show up
Love that she admits to depression and describes it so well and acknowledges others helped her.I like the way the interviewer asks about early childhood and how she gets through tough times.
I love this woman! She’s so adorable and she shattered the perception of what beauty is. She’s fine, funny, intelligent, and have an amazing heart! My crush 🥰😍
So glad CthaG has been hyping up the show on the Breakfast Club! I’m pulling for Quinta💪🏾 I first saw her on A Black Lady Sketch Show and I instantly became a fan. I had wondered what happened to her in the 2nd season. I was so excited when I found out that she had created Abbott Elementary! I watch every week and I am pulling for much success for her!!
I love Quinta! She is a great talent and creator! Shout for remembering the Bob Newhart Show, I always loved his show. 👋🏾 LOVE Abbott Elementary 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥❤ Great interview Charlemagne ✊🏾
What a great interview! I loved the questions and hearing more about Q's life as a Jehovah's Witness child in Philly . Great questions from the interviewer. Loved the rapport. Terrific!
Personally it was heartwarming and soul affirming for me to watch multiple characters and dynamics of Black people. And the show is funny ah. Glad you made it!
Quinta is amazing and I have not laughed so hard at a tv like I do when I watch Abbott Elementary!!! Side note: Charlemagne know he can act a fool when interviewing folks so I don’t know why he’s acting surprised. I wrote him off when I saw The Breakfast Club interview with Lil Mama. I only watched this because of Quinta.

Quinta's points about the structure being beneficial as a safety net, and the disconnect with holidays also resonated for me.

Who's the Fool tht broke her heart??? She's a beautiful soul. I was 😥 she only did one season of The Black Lady sketch show. Please if you can do both shows we wouldn't be mad... She is freshingly funny 😄 😆 🤣 Love
She’s such a real person with an authentic rise to celebrity. Love Quinta!!
Like she earned that place !!!
I don’t hate nepotism and its beneficiaries but its so refreshing seeing people who are actually self made.
They are def more authentic

Quinta Brunson and Sheri Shepard have a striking resemblance.
This. This was an excellent interview.
Loving the JW discourse. I was also raised a JW, but I knew at 16 years old, it was not for me.
