Exactly! My wife is a teacher, and she can't watch it because she goes to bed around 8 PM. She wakes up at 5 AM. This is her last year before retirement after 32 years.
Abbott elementary is so needed right now, especially with the attacks being made on the teaching profession. They are so underpaid and asked to do so much with little resources. I have several family members who have taught or teach now. I appreciate all the hard working teachers out there!
As a child I remember thinking teachers were lucky because they only work half a day and I'm not sure if that's how this country justifies paying them so poorly but it's insane
@@phunchurchgirl lol since when do teachers work half a day? The ones with kids have to wake up at like 6-7 AM even if school starts at 8 or 9 just to get their own families ready and out the door for their own days. They’d either be doing lesson planning or still had a bunch of stuff to grade
I love her so much!! It can be scary when you like a celebrity. You hope that they don't stomp puppies or take candy from babies. You saying that, make me so happy! Thank you!
My mom always said that no job could really exist without the help of a teacher. Everything you do is more likely you learned it from a teacher no matter which industry you are in a teacher helped you unless you are self taught. That's why she looks at issues regarding teachers from a local and national and international standpoint as the utmost important

Yes!!! I love this!!! My mom was a teacher and it is so much more than what people see. They put their own money into the class room and students. She would spend that extra time with the kids that need help. She'd go pick kids up who couldn't get a ride into school so they don't miss classes. she would do anything extra she could to help kids to graduate. Teachers do so much and its about time its noticed and shown
as a principal of an elementary school all I can say is that Abbott Elementary is definitely accurate on so many levels. we often shake our heads thinking "this can not be real."
It makes me sad that teachers have to buy supplies out of their pockets and get minimal support from the school board when they raise concerns. Shout out to all teachers!
Yes, as a former teacher, I watch the show and I’m so amused by the entire cast and concepts presented. My oldest son called me from college one evening just to tell me that he sees a bit of my personality in each of the female teachers cast on the show as well as Ava, the principal. 🤭😑🤣
As a teacher myself, Quinta's show is the first teacher comedy show I've really enjoyed. The characters are really real but in a kind and funny way. Love it!
I absolutely love Quinta. She is such an amazing person all around. I only watched Buzzfeed videos back in the day for her. Once she left, I left LOL. I have watched all her work and I could not be more happy for her success. Keep going Quinta!!!!! 👸🏽🥰💛
Abbott Elementary is a great show. I have been watching it since the beginning. The cast is fire. The kids bring it. The principal is too much, lol. Thank you Quinta
Quinta is so special and you could see it early on. I truly love the new show and all the cast. I know it will have a great run. I'm ready for the new episodes.
Growing up with a mum who was a teacher, and learning this about Quinta, I'm even more in love with her. She represents everything I want to be as a writer and entertainer. Big love. 💕
I just love how the Internet has really changed the space in Hollywood & entertainment . There was a time when the people who made shows/movies were like oh people don’t want to see Black people or Black stories, but the Internet has proven them wrong .Between Quinta and Issa if you have an idea you can just get on the Internet & start your podcast and go . People will react and they will love it ,don’t let people tell you you can’t do it . I am so happy for her . 💜💕
She was so talented & funny on HBO's "A Black Lady Sketch Show" & I missed her in it's second season....BUT I am loving her show & happy for her success!
This show is genuinely one of the best on tv right now. I’m not just saying that because I’ve ALWAYS been a Quinta fan. I’m just so proud to see her get her deserved success.
I’m happy to hear about the success of this show and for Quinta! As educators, one of our laments is that a lot of policy makers think they know about education, because they attended school. We really need some way to communicate all that goes into being an educator. I’m a college professor, so this affects me mostly indirectly (policies do affect our incoming students), so those who teach pre-K through high school are the ones who need this show the most. 💗
As a newly retired NYC public school teacher (26 years, 9 months), this show hits home. Those who know, know. I was so happy to see Quinta win the Golden Globe the other night. She and the show are so deserving. Thank you for representing us with so much class, compassion, and of course, laughter.
I remember Quinta from her BuzzFeed Era (Recreating Real Housewives and ambivalence towards ‘Game of Thrones’, anyone?) and I’m so happy for her and I’ve heard such great things about it. Onward and upward!
I remember this so clearly. It was 1974, I'm in 8th grade with kids I've known since 1st grade. My mother is our substitute teacher. My friends, who are always respectful when coming to our house, where out of control. That moment I decided to treat ALL teachers with respect, but Jr.High teachers the most.
this show was reminiscent of "the office" for me and that's why I loved the show. Was wondering what happened to the show, glad it's coming back March 26
As a teacher and having a mom as a teacher, this show has felt so satisfying to see some of our realities on tv for everyone to see. What a wonderful show and interview.
I am a teacher and a mom and this show resonates with me. Thank you so much Quinta. All the characters are awesome and so real. This show is my jam!✌🏽🤟🏽👩🏽🏫
