Your previous peony year ago made me start paintig. After so many attempts I did it. Please make more than one - two a year ...because yours are so special.
Oh I’m so glad the old video inspired you and you weren’t too frustrated by the poor video quality, hah! Is there a specific flower that you would like to see done in this loose style? If this is your preferred painting technique, I’d love to share what you actually want to see! You can suggest colors too :)
@@katrinacrouch what I like in your style? Sense of colour and ease. There are so many tutorials with bright unmatching colours from others on youtube, but rerly there somebody whos palette is thought thru and who is not afraid to mix 2-3 colours . Personally I like muted pastel colours which is mostly used in wedding stationary, but to find such tutorial videos is hard. I like how you mixed peony with lemon- colour scheme was so elegant and complimentarý. Any flower will do- lilacs, white magnolia, Apple blossom, primrose, rose, greens...greens expecialy in cascade green by DS. Woud love to paint fruit plus flower wreath .
I love your style of loose painting, it's a little more controlled, which I'm learning is more me. I'm very new to waterpainting and are soaking every morsel up like wet paper, lol. Your teaching method is also very easy to follow. Thankyou.
So glad I found you. Just starting my watercolour journey so watching tons! I love how you overdrew your outline for us to see. And how you talked through the colours. So helpful! Thanks you
Oh I’m so glad it was helpful!! This is one of my favorite techniques for “relaxing” painting ☺️ thank you for taking the time to leave feedback! It really encourages me to keep working/recording
Oh I’m so glad it was helpful! Is there a specific flower that you would like to see next? Is the rose too boring or overdone? Or maybe something like a cone flower?
@@katrinacrouch I’d love to see a rose - classic ! or a cone flower 💕Hydrangea are a favorite of mine and ranunculus too - but truly anything you like 💕💕
I just love your paintings! And I subscribed so I can easily find you and watch your videos. I am learning how to paint peonies and have a white single petal peony which is beautiful and hope to paint soon! The more flower tutorials the better!!!
Very well done video. I'm just learning loose botanicals. Your instruction is very easy to follow. You should be proud. Your videos and style if teaching has improved over the year and being a mother now of four is it? Thanks for the video
Wow, thank you so much! Yes, I began teaching through RUclips when I had one child and now I have 4! So nice to be able to still teach while the baby naps (even if it isn’t always consistent) Thank you for watching and the kind comment, it really encouraged me!
Peonies are blooming and only have another week or two for this year before they die. Never painted them before.I followed your tutorial. Tomorrow I go to the garden and paint the real thing, if it's not raining, but I just bought some water-proof watercolor paper, so maybe if it's raining, I'll test that new paper..
Beautiful! The graphic of your outline was such a nice (and helpful) touch. I know they need to be light, but the actual pencil lines are often so hard for me to see, lol.
Oh I’m glad it was helpful! I added it last minute and wondered if it just looked tacky but wanted to add a little extra help for those who need it. My scribbles really do look just like that, hahaha!! Not pretty or tidy-just a guide to help me with placement
Peony is one of my favourite flowers, I love it, the painting was magnificent 💗🥀... Like always, I will try this once my exams are over and I'm free ☺️... 🥰 The Colour of the peony was so beautiful and pretty 💗
One of my favorite flowers too! I really really wanted an all peony bouquet for our wedding but an early spring took the blooms out of season for us, unfortunately! But I still pretend when I paint them, haha
@@katrinacrouch not yet, but very soon. Like a pre test ☺️so, I am preparing now, though love to watch your videos. After when my exams are over and we get our Holidays I will try it out. 🥰and do the peony flowers, and I love to do paintings and drawings, I'll send you one in Instagram, hope you will like it. 🥰
Great! I’ll try to add a loose rose tutorial soon 💕 I have a realistic rose coming soon so I might wait a month or two so people don’t get too bored (not everyone loves roses as much as we do, LOL)
I have not painted wisteria specifically yet, but I would probably take a similar approach to what I did with this lilac tutorial: m.ruclips.net/video/xjYhmdSJhNo/видео.html
“Pastel” is a more common (and sophisticated) way to describe the colors that are created when white is added to the hue. Hope that makes sense, hah! To make a pastel, simply add white!
