This one... this song and basically the whole album is one of my favourites by Opeth. Sadly, I never got around to make an Opeth cover until now.
There is an actual demonstration by Mikael and Fredrik of this song, so I didn't have to learn everything by ear. Especially the tuning is very odd. I played the solo a little bit different to what you can see in that video, because it definitely sounds different on the record. There are a lot more hammer-ons and slides happening than just a basics scale run.

Also i can suggest some rishloo songs like el empe or freaks and animals or blitz, those arent from feathergun and i dont think they need any pedals u dont have. Even if u dont wanna play them i think its a good suggetion to just check them out especially if u like some Rishloo :) Stay healthy!

I’m just starting to make some guitar cover videos myself, and thus far I’ve used backing tracks when I can find a good one. I love how you use the real songs with your videos. Thank you, Christopher! Definitely more Opeth in the future. Using self made backing tracks is actually the better way since you can monetise that stuff. When using the actual song your getting a copyright claim. I'm just making the song it bit more quiet and the guitar louder. I'm also EQing the guitar a bit :)

Still Life is one of the Opeth records that I have a vinyl. Benighted is actually one of the first songs I learned to finger pick. When I get some mics to record acoustic guitar, I could do that :)

Was the kemper profile direct/merged and you found a cab you liked? Im trying to find good studio profiles but i its hard finding both the right amp setting and cab/mic choice profiled. So having good results with with direct/merged and then using my fav ir. Just wanted to see if you are doing the same. Thanks
I'm not really giving that too much thought, to be honest. I found that profile and tweaked out the stuff that I didn't like about it. It's been amp and cab combined, though :)
