I think you should have said the story isn’t very story arc entirely it’s pretty episodic despite it being long
So glad you made this. Detective Conan is my favorite anime/manga of all time, but it's hard to share it with people because it's longer than One Piece.

Good video i remember seeing the series in 2022 and despite being 30 years old not hard to experience the series despite having many episodes
Great video ! Even if I admit that I don't totally agree with showing the OAV "Episode ONE", even starting where the anime begins. The OAV makes a lot of winks at the fans, makes cameos from characters introduced later (notably Shinichi's parents who can therefore spoil the case where they are introduced) and then the end of the OAV is is literally a montage of the most important moments from the beginning of the series while spoiling elements of the Vermouth and Bourbon arc. I would rather recommend watching the original episodes 1 and 2, especially since with the Netflix release, they have been superbly remastered.
I understand the concerns for spoilers. I actually thought the ending montage was minimal enough that it would serve the role of a teaser for a new fan better than it does a spoiler-ish nod to fans. But I do get the concern for keeping it as spoiler-free as possible. I'll be pinning another disclaimer comment for this. I appreciate the suggestion!
@@paulus2126 I also understand the idea of it being some sort of teaser but at the same time it reveals some big stuff about Jodie and Akai while the mystery surrounding them during the Vermouth arc is one of the best things in the series. .. It's a complicated problem xD

Grear Video! & my recommendation for new viewers would be to watch the anime instead of reading manga (cause old dc anime has some cases giving creepy vibes, good osts and openings, plus voice dubbing is also great, Animation is not good but still it's enjoyable)
And, skip fillers during first watch, and don't watch movies before seeing series otherwise it can spoil some events. And, most importantly have patience (because tbis show gives slight hints regarding the main plot, then leads to grand continuation) It's main story begins from ep.126 (but starting episodes are necessary for character development)

If you like Detective Conan, I suggest you watch everything.
If you don't like watching fillers, I recommend only watching episodes that relate to the Black Organization because those are the episodes relevant to the main storyline. (However, the episodes with Kaito Kid and the London arc are good as well.)
I like the movies a lot, so I recommend watching them regardless of how it ties into the main storyline.
My issue with the anime is that it dosent respect the Manga at all at the start mixing several chapters wich appear later before other sooner chapter, doing some change to some scenes. Like in the first episodes ran have some suspicious thoughts about conan being shinichi then the next episode there's nothing like it never happened and it really make my experience kind of bad...
The reason I got into Detective Conan was bcs of a vacant memory of Ran's character and Conan's - I found the thing and watched the 1st episode and got hooked
Watching the series isn’t hard in my opinion,the manga is an interesting experience however it is hard to watch officially after episode 130 cause the only way to watch like I did was through fansub
