It might not be woodworking, but everyone has a tire in their life and every tire needs to repaired once in awhile. Thanks for sharing about this product - have a wonderful Sunday with your family!
Thank you! You Too!
When it fails, and it will fail (this stuff isn't a permanent repair, and your tire has dry rot), and you take it in to either get a new tire or get it tubed, let the guys know you used this stuff. The guys at the shop can't stand this stuff and like to know ahead of time what they are dealing with. It makes a mess and requires clean up before a proper repair can be done. I wouldn't be surprised if they charge extra when they come across it. It was suggested to me for tubeless tires to use a tire plug kit. It takes longer but provides a more permanent solution and there's no downside when you replace the tire some day. Just my $.02, not that you asked. Cheers!
That’s True, my Brother-in-law is in the tire business and hates this stuff … if it gets me through the season… it’s worth the $17.49 👍
Fuck ‘em.. it’s their job.
@@JonPetersArtHome That tyre looks like it went down slowly over time while trailer not in use, I would air it up first and find out what the problem is, thorns can't puncture thick quad tyres like fat Ebikes cop, I have 20+ patches on one 20x4 tube, I HATE Slime for it's tendency to clog valve cores, the part you call a stem, the part I call valve stem is the part on the rim, the inner part is the core
@@manFromPeterborough it’s been a few weeks and still holding air… Using it today you can see it on one of my Instagram stories. I’ll post this afternoon.
Interesting solution, Jon. Happy Mother's Day to Laurel. Thumbs up.
Thanks Chuck, hope you and Amy are enjoying the day. Kind of a quick fix but I’ve heard good things about it and pretty inexpensive solution for $17
I appreciate all of your video's Jon, woodworking or otherwise. Here's hoping this works out for you, at least in the near term. Coincidentally a couple days ago I added a tube to one of my Deere lawn tractor tires. Another tire I did similar a few seasons ago is still holding up well, so I am in the add-a-tube camp. But again, all the best and thanks!
Thanks! I agree the tube probably the better way to go but I’ve heard good things about this stuff so figured I’d give it a go. I’ll definitely revisit it in a few months to let everyone know how it goes.
that is a Schrader valve and valve core
Called valve core not valve stem
Just buy a tube. This stuff makes a mess if it doesn’t seal.
I don’t know, I’ve heard some good things about this stuff and it was only $17 and about 10 minutes of work so we’ll see… I’ll keep you posted on Instagram.
Yeah it’s worth a try. Hopefully it will work.
