Old lady of 63 here. I fix things MYSELF. Tubelees tires were a mystery to me until I happened upon your channel. Thank you sir! My mobility scooter rides again!
8 hours before the first snow of the season is supposed to hit and I remember my snowblower tire came off the rim moving it months ago. Sweet little trick with the ratchet strap, definitely going to pass that one on to everyone I know. Thanks for the info!
When storing, put a couple sections of 2x4 or similar under the axle or under the belly of the snow blower. That way if a tire loses pressure, the rims will be held up off the floor by the blocks, and the tire won't get deformed, so it won't crack.
"I don't want to play with fire"...good advice for repair work not originating from some warmer parts of the country. Advice is genius, never would have thought of this and it worked like a charm. No good reason found for flat tire on my snow blower except its probably been a few years since I put air in the tires. The other tire was still sealing but no air pressure. Thanks a bunch
THANK YOU!! My big boy Graco pressure washer wheels went flat and sat with the tire debeated for about a year. Then a buddy borrowed it for a week on a big job and his guys rolled the machine around on the deflated tires so the bead was super stretched, about a 3/4" gap around the wheel that I couldn't seal. I was even willing to buy new wheels/tires but every hardware store in town had a different sized axle that wouldn't fit. After an hour of prying, squeezing, heating and stretching, I ended up searching on google and saw your video. I used your ratchet strap technique and I was able to easily inflat both tires on the first try. In total, it took me less than 5 mins. Thanks again for putting this out. You prob save a bunch of money, time and frustration for a ton of guys out there.
Oh my gosh. Just saved me $100. I knew my tires werent cracked. I didnt even need sealant. I just used an oversized zip tie to hold the tire in place and inflated to 24 psi. Used the soap method to check the seal. Perfect!!!
I love how you are so down to Earth. 😁 I really like when you use your life lessons to teach us how to fix things ourselves. I love learning how to do it myself. I know it's done right. I don't do a half way done job. ( couldn't use the curse word, lol.) Hope you and your family are healthy and stay safe please. Y'all take care!
Thank you so much for this post. You got into it at around 8 minutes what our problem was. That ratchet strap trick saved the day. I appreciate you man! God bless
Dude, I've been watching your home reno videos forever, and lo and behold you pop up when I'm looking to fix my snowblower too. Great stuff, all of it!
I had the exact same problem and the ratchet tie down strap method worked perfectly. No problems and was as quick to do as it was shown in the video. THANK YOU !
I actually tried this today but my string broke, and my 3 ratchet thingy’s weren’t cooperating, so I ended up using a 40lb dumbbell to push down on the tire and it actually worked! Thanks for all the tips!
Thank you! I just inherited an old snow-blower with a bum wheel off the rim. After seeing your video I fixed it with a rope tourniquet and filled it up with air in like 3 minutes!
Thanks for this video. My snowblower tire came off the rim and I was not sure how to put it back on until I saw the tie down strap utilized - good one.
Thanks for this.. I fought with my snowblower tire for an hour , before deciding to dig into UTUBE .. and found your video with that 'rope trick' .. The wheel was seized to the axle , and the wheel was frozen solid because it was so cold .. but 3 attempts and a severe beating with a hammer ... and air finally filled it .. READY for tomorrows pain :-)
Thanks for the video. I didn’t have a big rope or strap. The small rope kept breaking. But I found maybe An easier way. Like you said the rim where it seals it has to be very clean and smooth otherwise the tire will have a hard time getting there. I inspected the inside of the rim and had a bit of rust and was quite dirty. Particularly one are where the tire would not go there. I guess there was an incredible amount of friction. So I pulled the tire away and first clean the rim where it needs to seal with a fine steel wool. It looked like new. Then I used a thick grease and applied around the rim. The tire went into place without much effort at all… no rope no strap. Then I inflated it with a bike air pump and it was perfect. I checked for leaks at it was good Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much. Your tip for getting the wheel back on the rim worked like a charm! 5-8 inches of snow today so there is a good chance my blower will get used tomorrow!
The tire reseating works so well! I was wondering if you were going to do the same thing I had to, years ago when I put new tires on my walk behind. Because they were new, they wouldn't flex enough to seat. I loosened the needle valve in stem, cranked the ratchet strap down as tight as possible, put a clamping air chuck on Once the air started, i started hitting the tread side of the tire with a heavy hammer. As soon as it seated, i pulled the chuck off and let the tire empty so I could remove the ratchet strap. Tightened the valve stem and added my air. Viola
Thank you this worked. The rope twisted tighter with screw driver method worked great to inflate tires. I did not need to remove wheels just to set the rims. Just put on blocks.
My snowblower tires are still in perfect condition but, I'm sure this will come in handy down the road. The tires on my hand truck, though, are always loosing air. I now know what to do about it. Thanks for the info!
I used a strap and a wrench. Kept tightening while the pump was on until I saw the number start climbing from 0. Worked a treat. I didn't know tubeless tires was a thing!
Dude- you are a genius. I had 2 flats on my big snow thrower. They would not hold ANY AIR! Bad design on the wheels in general, with the bolts holding them on rusted completely. After failing multiple times to remove the wheels, and discovering that replacing them would cost hundreds of dollars (not including the cost of cutting out the rusted-on bolts), I tried your ratchet ties trick and I was able to inflate the tires. Then I was able to locate the small leaks and fix them both with $20 of flat out. Thank you!!!
If the tread of the tire is not worn down to the point of losing traction in snow I would have just put a tube in that tire. Tubes are about 1/4 the cost of a new tire. If the tread was worn down and leaking, yeah, new tire.
Thank you so much for showing me how to fix a flat on a tubeless tire! I did it all by myself! Feeling very proud that I didn't have to wait for my husband to do it.
Both tires on my snowblower were flat and off the rims, I had no idea how I was going to inflate them. Using a ratchet strap to squish the tires onto the rims never would have occurred to me. Worked like an absolute charm, both tires back on in one try.
I know a few more simpler tricks for ya, you can slather the inside and bead of the tire with grease, old farmers trick. The one fella pointing out to block your machine up is a very important thing to do, it not only prevents the tire from coming off the bead in most cases, but it also helps prevent those dryrott cracks!
Hi, great video how to replace or treat a tire of a snow plow or a go-kart etc. if something is wrong with it such as deflated or even punctured !! 2 months ago we were busy to restore an old go-kart for my grandson, started sanding, painting, spraying etc. etc. but then the tires were discussed, these were on plastic rims, no problem in itself but all empty or maybe leaky. My son once saw on RUclips how they did that to quickly provide such a band with air again, we don't have a compressor or anything like that but that didn't matter, Gas was the magic word, okay something true gas (propellant in this case of from any spray tube) in sat was used. Sprayed between the edge of the tire and the rim and added the flame and ???? NOTHING!! again try then injected gas again and the flame again, but now my son dropped the strap + vleg from a certain height on the street and with the result? ............. ......... a huge loud bang and I was suffering from the pain in both legs and my ears were closed, at least I had become deaf, luckily no permanent damage to my hearing afterwards. But my legs and my lower legs like calf and especially my left lower leg hurt a lot. What was the egval? We later found the rim, completely broken in two and part of it hit my lower leg and ended up somewhere via my right leg. In short, I still suffer from my lower left leg after these 2 months, yes, I saw doctors etc. but I do know that my muscles etc. have had a considerable thump from that rim. I would therefore say NEVER do it with gas but use the method as The Fixer here uses a strap around a piece of rope that is many times safer and in hindsight we should have done that then I would not still have problems / pain in my leg, because especially when your leg comes to rest at night when you are in your bed then the muscles start to relax and that is the worst of all !!! Don't be fooled by those videos here on RUclips with those men working with gas to inflate tires quickly, it's playing with life !!! Thanks for your attention and sorry for the long story !! and oh yes, here is the video about the renovation of the go-kart, no that broken rim is not on it, we only bought 4 new rims + tires because for barely $ 45, it was worth it instead of playing with your life !! ruclips.net/video/7RHDEI6_GVw/видео.html
As I said once before, this RUclips video helped me fix my flat tire! However, this tire will go flat again. Is it time to get a new tire and or rim? Thanks in advance!
I had a snowblower tire leaking through the sidewall. The tire was problematic from new and leaked down almost flat every season. Eventually, it leaked down after only a few weeks the sidewall was so porous. I added some Slime. I laid the wheel horizontal for a day; then, flipped i. Left it horizontal on the other side. It holds air now better than when new over 20 years ago.
Great video, thanks. I need to replace two of those on a snowblower for the same reason. Dry rot to the max. It's a lot cheaper to buy a tube and tire than the entire wheel assembly. Can't wait to try it. The ratchet strap trick I'm referring to.
Old lady of 63 here. I fix things MYSELF. Tubelees tires were a mystery to me until I happened upon your channel. Thank you sir! My mobility scooter rides again!
Sounds like maybe you don't need the scooter! :-)
Super kudos to you!, keep fixing and scooter on my dear!

Awesome. I really appreciate that and I hope my videos help!
Auto shop said they don't work on these wheels. Your idea and $3 worked like a charm. Thank you very much.
I had the exact same problem and the ratchet tie down strap method worked perfectly. No problems and was as quick to do as it was shown in the video. THANK YOU !

Thank you so much for this awesome tip. Had my tire fixed in a matter of 10 minutes using this method. Really appreciate you posting this.
Fantastic video man. Wouldn't have thought of the ratchet strap technique on my own. Worked like a charm.
WOW! This totally worked for me. Tire off the rim, the strap trick, Perfect!!! I didn't even have to remove the tire. THAN YOU!
Awesome to hear! Glad it helped you out!

The rope tourniquet worked! Didn’t have to take the tire off too. Thank you for the advice!
Thank you for this information. Every other video is about adding a tube. The ratchet strap method is on the money.
dude. you were a life saver!!! First storm in NH and my tire came off the rim. Thanks!
I had a hell of a time changing the tire. But I did the exact same thing you did and it worked. 🍻🇨🇦
I just fixed my snowblower tire using the tie-down strap method and it worked. Thank you

For me just the tire came off the rim
Really helpful all u explained
I have this exact problem right now. Your video is super helpful. I’m going to do this tomorrow. Thanks!!
Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for a great video. The rope idea was safer than ether and it worked exactly as you said.

My electric zero turn has tubeless tires and all four are flat. No holes located. I’m going to try this, thank you!
Hope it works. Let me know!
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
Really like the videos. Keep them coming.
Thanks, Jim! I will keep making them if you keep watching!

Thank you!
Can you put a inner tube in it
Thanks I use your idea to use a strap to put back on my snow blower tire that separated from the rim.
thanks, good content and you give multiple options, well done.
Great informative, thank you.
Great video!..and when you are done you can see yourself in your tire...LOL!
I enjoy your videos! All of them 😊
That was well done. Now I’m going to go try it : )
Thank you 🫡
so is it difficult to put the New tubeless tire onto the existing rim..they have to use a machine to do that in the garage for auto tires?
Great video, thanks. I need to replace two of those on a snowblower for the same reason. Dry rot to the max. It's a lot cheaper to buy a tube and tire than the entire wheel assembly. Can't wait to try it. The ratchet strap trick I'm referring to.
supper easy fix. Thank you!
Thank you
Any advice on getting rim off? There is no pin just a bolt , but when removed. Will.not come off. ? Grrrr can't find any videos
Great job🤘🏻
Thank you and thanks for watching!
i confirmed that this method works!
Excellent. Thank you.
For this can I use a portable air compressor that plugs into my car lighter?
Thank you friend!
Also gave you a shoutout in a video I just made!
super helpful!
You're awesome! Thank you!
Good vid. Thanks
Has anyone tried that Flex Seal the rubberized sealant to do a repair?
I have seen people try it. Definitely not recommended by the company haha I have also not seen it work before. Thanks for checking out the video!
Awesome - thank you!
