The rangers line up was golden back then. They’d have Andrea get on Base then have Hamilton either drive him in or get on base too then have Beltre drive them both in if they were both on base

Five starters making 157 of 162 combined starts doesn’t happen and will probably never happen again. All of them earned double digit wins and four had sub-4 ERAs. And the bullpen was lockdown with Rhodes/Oliver in the 7th, Adams/Uehara in the 8th and Feliz in the 9th. With a 3.79 Team ERA. “Decent pitching”… What an ignorant statement.

This will be the closest any man comes to 5 in a game. The double had too much top spin to get out of the park, but could have if he'd hit it a little more square. Double was close. And don't forget, the previous game Josh had ended his night 3-4 with his last AB resulting in a HR the 9th inning of the last game. He was 6-6 with 5 HR in that game + prior AB. That's why the Manager Showalter of the Oriels said "Hamilton went berserk!"

the same happened in Milwaukee when Shawn Green played for the Dodgers and went 6 for 6 with 4 homeruns. All 200 Brewers fans in the stands were giving Green a standing ovation whenever he came to the plate after like his 2nd home run lol I don't blame them, I wouldn't care if a player was on a team I despised I would cheer for a performance like that. Baseball is VERY much a individuals game and individuals deserve recognition. The coaches don't hit the ball, the GM doesn't hit the ball, the player on deck doesn't hit the ball (during current AB) it's all about the individual. I give major props to Josh Hamilton even though he plays on a team I love to hate. He's actually played on 2 teams I've loved to hate. But made respect nonetheless.
