Hi I am a professional bike mechanic and the open scene of spraying the lube 24 second mark has a great potential to contaminant the rear brake rotor. This is a good product however may I recommend a barrier from getting spray on the rear rotor possible in the form of a piece of clean cardboard around the inside of the brake rotor. Enjoy using all the WD-40 bicycle lubricants. Cheers
@@archies6566 @jeremy-ws1rb Did neither of you actually watch the video? It's a bike chain lube, so yes of course it can be used as a lube, FFS! WD40 Degreaser and WD40 Multi-Use are different products!
Normal WD-40 is a degreaser mixed with mineral oil. So it is an excellent lubricant. I'm not kidding, you can look up WD-40 chain friction tests. But it evaporates quickly with time. So you can use it, but do it wisely :) It will suit cases like lubing for a one day rainy trip and degreasing at the same time
And this how not to lubricate the chain full instructions, vapour is landing on disc brake witch will stop working correctly -squell, and is to much of this lubricant 😢
Hi my friend, I'm latin and excuse me my english is little bit, but I think you need degrease the chain first and them lub the chain with a nice lubricant
Od Stain not recommended, the molecular structure is too large, not penetrating the tight clearances you find in bike chains. Also will attract dirt and grime!
0:29 Now hold on there dammit. All you are doing is making a mess of the cassette and do you notice what is behind that? A DISC BRAKE WHICH EVEN OIL FROM YOUR HANDS IS BAD LET ALONE DOING THIS.
Die ketting is voor die tijd al schoon gemaakt. Als ik dit moet gaan gebruiken kan ik elke week nieuwe bus op halen. Van 10 euro. Gebruikt nog steeds een spuit en dreft en tanden borstel.

Will give it a go. Glasgow conditions on the road past autumn are shocking lol - continual bike cleaning operation 🤦♂️
Can i use it as lube
Yes
Ahh no coz it's a degreaser that remove all the oily part and make the chain clean so after that u can apply other cycle lubes but not wd 40

Can i use this on my bike cables?
Don’t
do it
will it contaminated the rutors?
dont apply it on the disc it will reduce friction properties
Don't you need to de-lubricate/clear the chain before re-applying lube?
hyankov yes I recommend a clean before... otherwise there will be dirt on the lube. And don’t get it on your rotor!
@@josiahgolding7826 for the brake discs , it goes away in a few brake presses
That’s why they sell the bike degreaser
How to clean the chain before applying lube
Will this make my Shimano XTR drivetrain explode?
can i use Normal WD-40?
No,it will remove existing lube and do nothing else
The Sound Disciples ok :)
no, as it isn't a lubricant in the first place

Hello I have this what happens if I get some on the disc brakes?
Yeah just wipe it or something ?the break will slip as it don't have much friction
Just clean off with brake cleaner!
play astronomia.
you will die if it gets on your brakes
after some time it’ll eventually go away, if you see it’s unbearable, use some isopropyl alcohol or brake cleaner
Can you use normal W 40?
Regular wd40 will degrease your chain so not so good
Does Walmart sell WD-40 BIKE® All-Conditions Lube
yes just look at their website
My Hydraulic disk brake is now contaminated after watching this video 🤯🤯🤯
Chain is very dry. It makes me put a lot of power to go with my bike. Can i use wd40 bike to moisture my chain?
Yes

Nice VO!
is it necessary to wash with water after sprayed wd 40?
I would not use this
If I'm already using a silicon lub can I use this or do I need to thoroughly decrease to use this?
Hi my friend, I'm latin and excuse me my english is little bit, but I think you need degrease the chain first and them lub the chain with a nice lubricant
Don't spray it directly on the cassette. It will lead to massive gunk accumulation.
hell na, no gunk sticks into this chain lube, this a dry lubricant
there's no way you wont spray your disc break rotor with lubricating liquids with sprays in general, as obviously visible in the video.
Just spray the chain? Heck you can spray it on the chain near the pedals. How are you getting it on your disk brake rotor it’s on the other side.
@@Cjay819 don't worry, whatever suits you best.
Can I use wd-40 specialist silicone spray to my chain???

I would have slapped that can out of his hand if that was my bike. Cringe indeed..
This is so wrong. Never direct the spray to the cassette. It attracts unnecessary dirt. You can wipe off a chain but not the gears.
If you haven’t heard of it yet… Try Nano-oil…
Tip for better braking spray on your rotors and brake pads.
Die ketting is voor die tijd al schoon gemaakt. Als ik dit moet gaan gebruiken kan ik elke week nieuwe bus op halen. Van 10 euro. Gebruikt nog steeds een spuit en dreft en tanden borstel.
The rotors are now covered with lubricant, wasted pads - bad application
Aerosoles are terrible for the environment.
This seems like a marketing pitch.
what's your recommended lube product ??
