- Do you want to know how to change country or region on ps5 playstation store. This is very easy to do. If you go to the playstation store, then go to the three dots and go to the storefront and change the country or region. If this option is not showing up, go to logout and create a new PSN account then change the country the new account is from. Make sure to have the province, city and postcode otherwise this wont work. ...

Thank you, I had no idea this storefront was a feature - this will help save me some money as I moved to a country with a much weaker currency than the one I registered in, so the exchange rate charges were not nice.

Yep well its a security thing if your account gets stolen its one of the ways they verify its your, but they could make thing where it shows for them how many times it changes and where
They should just make all game available to all region. Sad even next gen cornsole still game region lock exist. Just like the forest, stranded deep, 7 day to die still not available in malaysia, singapore and indonesia
Xbox doesn’t and thats one of the big factors why I dont have a PS anymore

I got a question, I have just bought a PS5 from the USA, America Region, to use it in Spain, Europe Region. I would like to know which problems could I have with the PSN or PlayStation Plus suscription ... Will I be allowed to buy at the Spanish PS Store or just from the American? Thanks !
I’m not sure if you got your answer. I have an American PSN for over a decade and moved to Europe 2 years ago. I have been using my American ID on the UK PS5 with no issues. The purchase etc are tied to my account in America. The games I buy from Europe work flawlessly. Only thing that is a slight issue is that I cannot redeem any download codes for games bought in the UK or europe.

@@Docron yes you can. I just bought Fifa 23 and MW2 last year both from the PSN store which is based on the American PSN account I have. I still have a bank account setup in the US, so I have been using that to make purchases for PSN. I have no issues whatsoever. All the updates etc. all apply and work flawlessly on my PS5.
Like I said, the only things that won’t work are any redeemable codes or psn cards bought in the place other than your psn account main country.

I have a question. Does the PlayStation store allow different currency? Let’s say I’m on the US and I bought my PlayStation in the US, does this PlayStation allow Japanese currency to be used?

If you buy with your cred/visa its ok but if you want to buy a store card u need to buy the same region your id is

I created my original account in the PS3 with Mexico as region since my homecountry wasnt an option back in 2010. I bought a PS5 and I just used my old account thinking it would be cool to keep it but how wrong I was. Now I cant download DLC since my PS store is from my country but region in my account is mexico. So sad 😢 i found out that pretty late, have a lot of saved data that I dont wanna lose…
That is ridiculous! I had the same issue, I bought a brand new FC24 from my home country account which makes a lot of sense. Let's guess I can't buy a PS+ subscription because of my region. So what should I do with this new FC24 without playing online!

I have a region locked redemption code for a game. I can't redeem it on my main account bcuz it's not from Japan. I did make a Jp account, I was wondering if I redeemed the code on the Jp account, will I be able to use the dlc redemption code on my main account?

I did and it worked for me but idk with just a dlc. I bought an account with a game that included various dlcs and if I downloaded them all on that account they would appear on my normal account

You can create as many account as you like. Although, you cannot use the saved data from others. Every time you change account you will have to start the game from the beginning as the data it's saved not in the console, but in the account and you cannot copy it. That's pretty lame. Sony is gonna go down pretty quick because of this nonsense.
Its true, the other account sometimes used to buy game, and then the game is played in their primary account, so the save file remains in one account.

@@Snorlax_x I dont think you understood what I said. Yes you can buy the game and play on both account but the saving can't be transferred. Each time you change account it's a new game as the data it's saved on the account. If I start the game on my first account then when I switch I won't be able to keep going, I have to start the game from the beginning.

It’s super frustrating. The very basic thing that is annoying is that they removed the ability to backup saves to USB. They should never have removed that, and ideally I wish they wouldn’t lock every save to your PSN account. Like, who cares if I wanna share my save with a friend. That’s our business. It’s annoying that Sony goes out of their way to prevent it. I remember the good old days when devs put cheats in their games. Now Sony goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to prevent you from even sharing a save (even on the same damn console)

I contacted Sony because I have moved to the UK from Canada and I have had my psn for 15 years. They told me you cannot change the region but only make a new account. Which sucks because I have years and years of content and free stuff. So I’m still using my Canadian account but I buy codes online.

I still have bank accounts in Canada so I have been using RBC rewards or CIBC rewards to buy those cards.
I have tried to buy them from Best Buy or GameStop but they seem to block any purchases made from overseas even though I’m using a Canadian bank (both debit and credit) card.
I have also purchased a psn card from eBay once but had to make sure it’s a Canadian PSN card.
Finally, recently I added PayPal to my psn account and I just bought GTA5 (from my Canadian psn store) with no issues.
Paypal used to also carry the psn cards but not anymore. They only have Xbox cards unfortunately.
Usually I buy 2 cards around Black Friday or PS Days of Play where they go for 30 to 40% off. This is why my account is valid till 2025 now 😂

When I change from France/French to Germany/German, It switchs back to France/French. Even when I restart my PS5. Playstation better correct this failure.

My ps5 domt have the option on the menu.i created a different account like if i was living in Mexico.but all prices are in dollars.only thing change was language
it works only if your store is in the Europe Region. My region store was created in the United Arab Emirates: UAE, so I moved to France, when I wanted to renew my PS PLUS, the billing payments giving me that I should do it with a valid UAE credit card. With American Express card issued in France, it did not work. and since I am still on UAE region, I do not have the Storefront Country.
I won a game in a giveaway but the code I was given was USA only…a game I really wanted too

@@pcd8810 I unfortunately you can’t change the region you can only create a new account with the region which means having a new account you can only change the region to areas closer by like if you’re in the UK you can change region to anywhere in Europe but nowhere like the USA
