Thanks for highlighting Italian jazz! I'm a jazz trumpet player from Canada and I spent a lot of time living, working, and studying in Italy. I lived in Siena for a while and found that the musicians were of top quality. They were fantastic to perform with and made me feel like I belonged. It's hard not to be inspired in such gorgeous surroundings. The most striking thing to me was how the Italian public still has an admiration for jazz as an art form. Your videos are beautiful and I can't wait to get back to Italy!

Hi Kylie. This video reminds me of a story that the Blue Zones author, Dan Buettner, likes to tell and which he wrote about in a 2012 New York Times article, entitled "The Island Where People Forget to Die ." It's about a Greek man from Ikaria who moved to the U.S. in 1943 and was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 1976 when he was in his mid-60s. His doctors gave him 9 months to live. Instead of trying to fight the cancer with expensive and aggressive chemotherapy, he decided to live out the rest of his limited time back home in Ikaria and die there. The funeral would also be a lot less expensive for his family. Upon returning to the Greek island, his diet and daily routine changed quite a bit and he started to feel better. When the article was written, he was still alive and cancer-free at 97, although he insisted he was 102 because the documentation was incorrect. He never went through chemotherapy, took drugs, or sought therapy of any sort. He didn't seek out special holistic doctors in Ikaria, join a gym, or take vitamins and minerals. All he did was to return to his home in the Mediterranean and live life the way everyone else there did. And, amusingly, the man told Buettner that, 25 years after moving to Ikaria, he decided to return to America for a visit to see if his doctors could explain to him why he never died. Turns out, they were all dead. Ikaria and Sardinia are both Blue Zones with a large percentage of the population living well for more than 9 or 10 decades. They have a much healthier diet, are more physically active (walking and gardening), and socialize much more than people in many other parts of the world. Western junk food has infected some of these areas now, but your video is a reminder that many of the things that lead to a long and healthy life are still present throughout Italy. Living a simpler life. Eating fresh (and real) food. And walking and socializing more. There are many components to La Dolce Vita. Your videos do a great job showing why life in the Mediterranean can lead to all of that if you live it the way that people did before McDonald's and KFC came along. You will probably live a longer and healthier life in Italy than you would have if you'd remained in Australia. I hope so. It's another reason why that part of the world is so appealing to many of us. Thanks for all you do to reveal it.
Wow. .thank you for such an inspirational story & his experience with, or lack thereof, chemotherapy. But it's amazing & scary what we'll do sometimes to stay alive. I definitely think a proper diet is essential
Dearest Tess, sending you love and colour and lightness. Late nights editing I think of people like you and it gives me another four or five hours of energy to work until sunrise trying to create escapism that can be felt through a screen. 💙🌸👩🏼💻

Your videos have an artistic quality that others don't have and I really appreciate that. You have an excellent eye for what is beautiful and wonderful about this country. I will watch again!
Oh! I lived for 10 months in Florence for my erasmus studies, and going to the open markets was the best experience ever! Everybody is joyful and full of life! Thank you so much Kylie!

I'm a 63 year old woman near the age of retirement and I feel very empowered to do my research now and find the right country or place to retire. My wife and I have recently discovered your wonderful channel. It is so refreshing and inspirational. We dream to move to Italy in a few years and hope your channel will keep us up to date on pricing and costs. Thank you for your cheerfulness and joy for life.
I will probably never get to fulfill the dream to live in Italy , but I get to live the dream thru these videos thank you! You are beautiful and thank you!
Kylie I watched this in my kitchen while cooking pancakes for my (grown up) kids, before we go to see nonno for fathers day. They sat and watched mesmerised by your beautiful relaxing video! 😘💐💕
I remember the first time i visited Siena ..I couldn't believe when i walked to the main square one night and hundreds of people sitting like they were having a picnic with wine and cheese while listening to a jass concert ..i have never seen anything like that .A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT TO REMEMBER FOR THE AGES .
tsocanuck You mean “Piazza del Campo”. It's beautiful ... it's unique ... it looks like a theater. When you go down to a narrow street and then you suddenly come to see the Piazza and all the people who are there relaxing, chatting, drinking an aperitivo, an espresso, etc. in front of a bar .... it's spectacular ! Greetings from Italy ! 👋🙂
D'accordo. I remember visiting Italy and a lot of beautiful piazzas, listening to jazz and enjoying a delicious gelatto in the evening with my wife. Very Romantic I told my wife that when our girls are older, we will return so they can appreciate the culture and beauty. Grazie Kylie!
azchemguy lopez What country are you from ? We can see “Il Colosseo” behind your picture (and “La Fontana di Trevi”). We can see that you have been in Rome. 😉 Ciao from bella Italia ! 🇮🇹👋
What you said about not feeling at home in Australia really resonated with me. I’m from the US and I feel exactly the same way. This is, along with all things aesthetically thoughtful, the reason I fell in love with Italy and Europe in general. And why I’m forever longing to return. Thank you for the videos.
I just came across your videos but I am glad that I did. I want to teach English in Italy and I have been starting to learn it on Duolingo which is something and it is better than nothing. I visited Italy once when I was in high school on a school trip. I loved it and have been in love since I got there. This gives me the motivation to move and accomplish my goals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Hello Kylie, thank you so much for sharing and showing us the beautiful place you go through your eyes. The work you do is spectacular. You have a unique way of placing the camera and setting the scene, that I can imagine being there with you. Molto grazie e arrivederci God Bless
I'm so glad I finally visited Italy- it was a lifetime dream that I accomplished. I went in November, 2019 right before Coronavirus. So sad about the whole situation we've all gone through together, actually in this world. My dream is to visit Italy again.
For almost a year now it has been my dream to move to Italy. I have been working on the language first. I sometimes thought maybe this will never happen. After watching your bellissima videos I think I can really do this. Grazie Mille for your wonderful site. It is exactly what I needed.
You have captured the essence of Italy in this video. The beauty, the art, the history and for me the way of life is something else. Thank you so much for bringing joy in our lives. It reminds me why I love the country so much and I’m missing it this year. We can’t travel from Australia this year and had our trip cancelled so this brightened up my day. I’ve started my dual citizenship process and what a ride that is. These two vids have been very insightful and very helpful. Much love and happiness to you J
Simple Joys you must visit it truly is a beautiful country and so are the people. The slow living, going back to basics, recycling, wasting nothing, working the land and so much more. The simpler life of the villages and medieval towns is amazing. I am biased I love Italy 🇮🇹
@@BlueSuedeShoesDance more or less like Spain : I. Have been living in Spain for the past 20 years; I've also lived in 3 Latin American countries and 4 years in Miami Fl. I'm originally from the Netherlands.
A video all about the practical, and yet: beauty. Such effortless beauty takes a crazy amount of sweat, brain-busting focus, and hours stacked on hours. Like Sisyphus pushing the rock up the hill with a backpack full of camera gear and a vague idea of perfection. Small splendors heaped into tiny moments, yet you fill the frame with these moments. So, so glad for you, Kylie.
You have incredible talent for words and filmmaking Kylie, very inspirational and I'd gladly listen to you talk about any subject. It surely is curiosity and simple moments that make life wonderful. Awesome seeing the rate the channel is growing and it's well deserved. Thanks and keep going, we're hanging on every word!
Kylie - I’m finding your videos tremendously helpful. I have only recently begun to think about a move to Italy. Your videos are proving amazingly helpful. I will continue to watch, learn, and plan. Many thanks to you! 🍷🌷
At this moment in Time - My bucket list of visiting Italy must live through you and your films/videos and they do live. Thanks you so much for showing the Beauty of Italy, The language of Italy and Wonderful foods of Italy......someday, someday I will visit this enchanted land....God and time willing....Thanks again
Around 2016 made a solo tour of Europe from Ireland to Italy. Rome and Bologna and Florence and Parma were amongst my favorite. At 63 years old felt fully alive the whole time. Fell in love again and again. The way Kylie Flaveli describe Italy is very inspiring. Should really like to see it once again when appropriate!
"I never felt at home in a country that really celebrates the athlete...." Whoa. This stoped me in my tracks. As an American, I feel the same way but I never heard it verbalized it this way. You're amazing, Kylie!
Same! I lived in Rome and I’ve come back to Australia and my soul is crushed. I miss the romance of Italy, romance in it architecture, it’s passion, it’s people. It’s something that Australia is lacking. I’ve only been depressed since returning to Australia. It’s where I want to raise my children, I hope to return some day soon.
bumdog I believe that she means a country which predominantly celebrates athletes and does not value the culture of the arts. It’s wonderful that Italy supports and celebrates both.
You are way ahead of the game, as far as your perceptions. I envy your life choices, but appreciate your observations and how you share the beauty of your surroundings with your skill set.
Watching your stunning videos Kylie just really makes me want to pack up my life in Canada and move to Italy. Life seems so much simpler and it would be a dream as a creative to be able to wake up everyday to such inspiration and beauty. It’s so true when you talk about the richness of colour and texture. You can clearly see that coming through your work. I am fortunate to have Italian citizenship (thanks to my mother who was born and raised in Italy) and I have family who reside in both Bari and Vicenza. Can’t wait to fly over a visit again... and possibly never leave!
Really helpful video in your usual relaxing, fun and enthusiastic style. Love having the Italian words also, great to try to learn. Your fluency inspires me to try harder to learn the language. There's a lot to be said for just wandering and soaking up what is around you. Thank you and looking forward to the next video.
I love your videos they are so well done and the love story is amazing cant wait to see the wedding video. Congratulations writing you here from Mexico
Love it! This actually encouraged me to consider cooking more here in the States. Seeing a simple, nutritious meal with lovely ingredients inspires me to give things a shot again.
Just found you on this second video, very informative. Love the Post Office, and the elegant way to shop for your food! Relaxed living at its finest, fresh, organic, natural foods are the best! I have never been to Europe, or Italy, would love to see it at 75!
Once again you have produced the best videos I have seen on You Tube on the subject of moving to Italy. It is my plan to move to Sicily soon and your videos are extremely helpful.. So well done and you bring a wonderful spirit and genuineness to these films. Brava
A walk without direction , love it . Nice to see the smiles and listen to all that positive and passionate vibe . Makes my day . Good Work 💐. Please don’t stop ever .... editing is fabulous too .
Prices also depend on where you live. We have a house and olive farm in an area in the west coast between Rome and Naples. Prices there are 1/2 of Rome or Florence. We also grow olives so have our own oil and the farm has lots of fruit. Love watching you.
You are such a gentle soul. I enjoy watching your videos. My wife and I are inspired to one day call Italy Home! Thank you for your info and experience.
Greetings from Sydney! Always wanted to visit Italy, it seems to speak to my soul! Wonderful video. A new subscriber! Be safe & enjoy your adventure. xxx
I'm an expat living in Bavaria and can relate to so many of the points you made in this video. Bavarians have a bit of a love affair with Northern Italy. We usually travel to Tuscany every May/June with our children and couldn't this year. Watching your video has given me a distinct sense of what the Germans call "Fernweh" - wanderlust or a longing to travel. We mostly cook for ourselves on holiday too and shopping is an experience. Having to stay in Bavaria has also given me an increased appreiciation for the beauty of the area that I live in: the trees, the lansdcape, old buildings, the culture. Btw, I recently discovered your channel and am hooked! Thank you for making such delightful, uplifting content :)
Hi Kylie! So immersed in your video’s! A breath of fresh air. Your ability to transport me to a beautiful world is a gift! Thank you so much for letting me into your home and life! Any chance we could have you feature in it? Please let me know 😀 Keep doing what you’re doing! :)
I once told a friend who asked me how beautiful Italy is, that every detail in Italy is so beautiful that all you have to do is spit and it will land on something fabulous and thoughtfully created in Italy.
That beautiful golden sunshine and your gorgeous tan -- I can almost feel the warmth of the sun on this gray day in Seattle. Thanks, Kylie. I love your photography and videos.
Another beautiful video, thank you so much. Brings back lots of wonderful memories of my time in Italy, as an expat Aussie. I am loving living in California, but again, so different from Italy and Australia. Stay well and stay safe.
I have been entertaining the idea of moving to Italy after I graduate, you really have helped me get started. I appreciate how thoughtful this video is, thank you!!!!

I can’t believe how you express exactly how I feel and yes I am sure that is also how so many other followers feel it’s crazy ! All the information has been so super helpful GRAZIE 😊 TANTISSIMO BELLISSIMA Kylie 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I haven't lived in Italy yet but generally I think you're doing a great job at listing all the little things that one usually forgets or overlooks. So helpful!
My parents are Italian. I asked them why they chose to emigrate. She said that being romantic at heart, they wanted an adventure together on completely unknown territory and that when she disembarked from her boat in Fremantle Western Australia, it was the most elated and invigorated she felt her entire life. And as my mother explains, life is what you make it. You have presented Italy in the most romantic way and of course not all of Italy is as inspiring. But certainly those areas that are beautiful, are so much so as to overwhelm and seduce. And if life is about making it as you want, then thank you for showing us the best that Italy has to offer. Mum returned to Italy on holiday, to visit her relatives but stayed in Rome mostly so that she could tour. She said she had the best time.
I’ve been living abroad for the last 12 years and in a long run is getting harder and harder to stay away from my beloved Country Italy specially in the summer as I am from Sicily. It is videos like this one that make me reflect and ask myself why am I living abroad for ? Love your content and K and appreciate your love story with Italy. Grazie per condividere ,
The More I see your beautiful videos, I do get mesmerized by the beauty of Italian countryside through your lenses and by your nice way of presenting all the nicer things about this country. I had been to north Italy twice and hope to visit again to the Dolomite region after I have watched your mind blowing travel video on Dolomite. Thank you
What an interesting video that you have shown us. Thanks for sharing your life and times with those that watch your channel. Outstanding job young lady.
I lived in Florence for 8 months a few years ago - watching this video just gave me an incredibly emotional reaction. I had forgotten how absolutely beautiful it is, thank you for reminding me.
Your videos are fantastic, it makes me want to come there so bad, I’ve traveled to Italy on several occasions and I spent quite a bit of time there and I’ve never had a bad meal in Italy.. Your presentation is fabulous and you’re doing a great job of representing Italy. Thank you so much. Cheers, Mike
Omg, my favorite part is where you say "for example... this is my local post office" 😆😆😆 that sums it all up, doens't it! Thanks for this beautiful series of films. I'm half Italian/half German and I've lived in California for the past 25 years, finding life and culture rather hollow here. My career ambitions have delayed my dream to live in Italy for so long, and now the time has come! I plan to stay in Italy for a few months next year just to get inspired and to figure out my main question, which is WHERE...
The way you film is beautiful such a pleasure to watch and the background music matches the mood perfectly give great ambience. Keep doing what your doing. Italt is so beautiful. ❤
This is my first time following your videos. You are amazing Kylie ! I am a 1st generation Italian American looking to move permanently to Italy. My mom was from Avellino, Italy. I will be viewing many of your videos so that I can hopefully move to Italy sooner than latter.
You are really doing a wonderful job. Seeing that post office reminds me when I used to live in Firenze (multi anni fa ) we lived in a Pensione just around the corner. When I first walked into the post office I was totally in awe of how gorgeous the building is. The best part of living there was the church bells ringing on Sunday, io ❤️ Italia...........🤗🇨🇦
Thank you for sharing your amazing accomplishment! I cannot believe the beauty of your tiles! I am glad that you live in Italy to enjoy the culture, beauty and joy of life there. I would love to handcraft items but as I must work full time, I enjoy living your joys vicariously through your films. I am so appreciative of your art.
Thank you, Kylie. Lovely videos. I live in Egypt, and I am American. I love it here and would not go back for anything. So, I understand your embracing Italy as your home. I just like watching the videos and get ideas for cooking, but who knows? I might end up in Italy at some point as well. Ciao

Kylie I watched this in my kitchen while cooking pancakes for my (grown up) kids, before we go to see nonno for fathers day. They sat and watched mesmerised by your beautiful relaxing video! 😘💐💕
Oh how lovely!!! 🥞🥞😊
Thank you for such a kind and encouraging response. I so appreciate it. ♥️♥️♥️
Seriously!! Her videos make me want to visit Italy so much!
Simple Joys you must visit it truly is a beautiful country and so are the people. The slow living, going back to basics, recycling, wasting nothing, working the land and so much more. The simpler life of the villages and medieval towns is amazing. I am biased I love Italy 🇮🇹
BlueSuedeShoesDance Ciao, posso chiederti perché desideri fare la richiesta di cittadinanza italiana? Solo una curiosità!
I call Italy an open museum, I love Italy and Kylie.
Thank you, Kylie Happy Sunday! You’re videos always make me so excited to be able to travel again. Can’t wait until it is possible.
Thank you Laurie!!! 💗
I love your expression of joy and appreciation of simplicity and of simple pleasures. Grazie mille, Kylie.
Thank you Steve!!!
You are just a lovely lovely human being. I love you Kylie! Thank you for your light.

Just found your channel. So glad I did! I love Italy. You're a pleasure to listen to, and your camerawork and editing are fantastic.
I feel the same as an American.
bumdog I believe that she means a country which predominantly celebrates athletes and does not value the culture of the arts. It’s wonderful that Italy supports and celebrates both.
You are way ahead of the game, as far as your perceptions. I envy your life choices, but appreciate your observations and how you share the beauty of your surroundings with your skill set.
rawbirbella justthat may I ask why ?
Watching your stunning videos Kylie just really makes me want to pack up my life in Canada and move to Italy. Life seems so much simpler and it would be a dream as a creative to be able to wake up everyday to such inspiration and beauty. It’s so true when you talk about the richness of colour and texture. You can clearly see that coming through your work. I am fortunate to have Italian citizenship (thanks to my mother who was born and raised in Italy) and I have family who reside in both Bari and Vicenza. Can’t wait to fly over a visit again... and possibly never leave!
Thank you Clarissa!
OMG that post office 😮😍😍😍 that's Italy 😘 that makes me feel like I should write post to my favourite person once a week or twice. 😊
Yes!!! ♥️♥️♥️📝📝📝💌
Really helpful video in your usual relaxing, fun and enthusiastic style. Love having the Italian words also, great to try to learn. Your fluency inspires me to try harder to learn the language. There's a lot to be said for just wandering and soaking up what is around you. Thank you and looking forward to the next video.
So glad to hear it’s helpful, Andrew. Thank you for watching.
I love your videos they are so well done and the love story is amazing cant wait to see the wedding video. Congratulations writing you here from Mexico
So the wedding hasn't yet taken place? I thought it was last week?
I like the way that you seem to think, about talk. It reminds me of myself when I like how I present. Thanks for letting us see you.
So easy to watch and feels like partaking in a really easy but interesting conversation! Stumbled upon by chance ❤️ loved every second of it x
I don't even plan on moving to Italy... But it's Kylie! I have to watch. 😊😊
😊😊😊 Thank you!
I left my heart in Positano. It's magical. Thank you so much for this wonderful video Kylie.
Once again you have produced the best videos I have seen on You Tube on the subject of moving to Italy. It is my plan to move to Sicily soon and your videos are extremely helpful.. So well done and you bring a wonderful spirit and genuineness to these films. Brava
I loveee your videos! So inspiring and it definitely makes me feel happy when things are currently so negative.
Totally true. Even shopping in the centre, prices differ if it is a supermarket closer to a street with lots of hotels and Airbnbs!
I'm Italian and living in Spain, but you made me feel nostalgia for my home. Thanks 💖
why did you move to Spain? Just curious...
Ma dice un sacco di falsità...
You are such a gentle soul. I enjoy watching your videos. My wife and I are inspired to one day call Italy Home! Thank you for your info and experience.
Dear Kylie. Lovely to see your film. Thank you so much,. Sending love from England xx
😘😘
Greetings from Sydney! Always wanted to visit Italy, it seems to speak to my soul! Wonderful video. A new subscriber! Be safe & enjoy your adventure. xxx
So informative. We even learned a bit of the language. Thank you 🙏🏽
I'm an expat living in Bavaria and can relate to so many of the points you made in this video.
We’re almost out of this dark place in history and you’ve given us all so much hope and love! Lots of love from Boston, Ma
Im English but have worked and lived in Spain for nearly all my life. I find your narration and presentation skills absolutely delightful. I wish you all the luck in the world for your future.
Hi Kylie! My mom’s a HUGE fan of yours, and watching your videos after a long hard day has become somewhat of a ritual for her. You just never fail to put her in a great mood! Anyway its her birthday in a few days and my sister & I are putting together a video of all her favorite people wishing her a happy 45th, and i know it’d mean the world to her if you were in it!
Any chance we could have you feature in it? Please let me know 😀
Keep doing what you’re doing!
I agree 'it is a heaven' for someone who likes the arts, architecture.
How you wonderfully present your themes is a piece of art in itself. Keep up the good work!
thank you these have been very helpful! i’m planning to make the move as an american who visited firenze 2 anni fa and has spent every possible moment since learning/studying italian! your videos are exactly what i needed to find right now i was literally tearing up nd getting chills hearing you say some things because it makes me feel like i have the ability to make it happen for myself too💜
You are speaking to my heart Kylie. Art, dreams, language, history. Oh my
Great video.. (again!). The jazz concerts are great. But also the music you choose for the fragments. Especially the postoffice part. Thanks again! I'm looking forward to the next one..
You’re so sweet to do this video for people. Makes me miss Italy too.
Buongiorno Regina 👸 Kylie ! Thank you we really needed this to keep ourselves focused on our dream to move to Italian 🇮🇹 I have watched part 1 three times now and part 2 twice it was soooo good I was crying 😢 happy tears of course , I miss Italy 🇮🇹 soooo much and can’t wait till we can fly to Italy .
Wow, that Post office is such an amazing place. Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful blessings ❤
You conjure the very lifestyle I long for! Flowy, earthy, causal retro elegance, good food, good company, and amore!❤️
Thank you
When i was travelling from Venice to Rome train stopped at Frienze(Florance ) for few seconds and i felt like i was in a dream it was so beautiful .
I totally loved Tuscany when I visited 3 years ago! I love the views, architecture and culture. I miss Italy... Thank you for this video Kylie!
Love these...I'm planning and visualizing this to manifest💫 so thank you again for being so detailed and visually lovely about it💛
Great videos, I'm just learning Italian and would love to live in Italy one day.
bravissima! I live in the Netherlands and almost forgot all those beautiful Italian cities! Wonderful videos and stories! well done! Ciao Francesco
Thank you, Kylie. Lovely videos. I live in Egypt, and I am American. I love it here and would not go back for anything. So, I understand your embracing Italy as your home. I just like watching the videos and get ideas for cooking, but who knows? I might end up in Italy at some point as well. Ciao
