Even peter griffin appears in dragonball. An im serious he IS IN IT! In one of the background you can see a fat guy with green pants white shirt glasses and brown hair stand nect to a taller skinny guy. I forgot which episode tho. I wish i could send a pic here.
I really miss the mysticism of the original DB run. The world felt like a massive place with so many secrets and lore to uncover. Z kinda forgot about that and went into space, making the world feel a little smaller. And the people of Earth became more generic outside of the Z team. Super (before Moro) took it a step further and made the whole universe seem small, insignificant and boring. Especially the ToP where almost every U7 fighter was human (or tailless saiyan which is practically human). Ideally, I'd love to have the mysticism of the original DB with the overall tone of the History of Trunks. Everything just felt more grounded and impactful and wonderous.
The Kami from previous Generations are also so very eerie and mysterious. I was inspired by them while creating an enemy for my stories: for once, a Supernatural enemy born on Earth! No demons, no aliens, a Earth enemy for Earth inhabitants!
I use The Darkness filler for the Ultra Divine Water in all my what-ifs for humans who need a bit of a power boost. He's a benevolent monster type for a lot of people. The Sacred Crown filler is also good for that too.
Honestly I think Z should have been about space travel. That could be a way to continue the spirit of the original Dragon ball and keep it from getting stale
I mean, the dragon ball’s earth is already a weird place to begin with… with all the animal people, ancient beast, shapeshifter, MONSTER CARROT!, and ancient pirate robot. so much so that our monkey boy seem not out of place at all.
