Considering how Vomi/Android #21 had a cameo in Super Hero, albeit in Hedo's family tree, I'm surprised we haven't had an adaptation of FighterZ. Otherwise, it feels like the manga is building up to a rematch with Freeza. Especially since Goku and Vegeta brought in Broly to help them train.

You mentioned Dark Namekians. What i always thought the main canon could explore (that has been explored at length in non-canon stories) is the Demon realm. Feels like a natural progression, after dealing with gods and angels, to meet what could be an opposing force of similar power. In the main canon we only had Dabura as “king of the demon realm”, so this seems like a rich area to explore, and could connect back to the Majin saga, perhaps as the key for why demons are back.
I feel like after Broly, there’s no excuse not to try using movie villains for new arcs. I can’t imagine how Turles would be received after Goku Black. But that Tree of Might is pretty unique
Look at people's complaints against Cell Max. People want it to be Cell revived but then they also want original stuff. If we get more stuff brought back like Turles or Lord Slug, then people will just start whining about them being brought in instead of new stuff.
Cooler, at least in the dub, always came off as insecure. He's so desperate to "not be his brother" despite being almost exactly like his brother. One thing always separated him however, he was a martial artist, he trained. Now with Frieza training, the one thing Cooler had to self-identify himself is now gone, but that ironically makes it the perfect time to reintroduce him. A character who had it all, but now is redundant and falling into obscurity, also has the highest motivation to make themselves known. And if we were to bring him back Broly-style, then we could retool his story and personality slightly to excuse why we've never seen him. Maybe he heard of Frieza's demise on Namek, and spent all his time preparing to "get revenge", but while keeping tabs on our heroes, he knew he wasn't strong enough. Now imagine decades of falling behind the Z team, plus his brother returning stronger, and he could break down which would cause any kind of story you want. Hmm, maybe he could look into a certain star to boost his power out of desperation?
@@albertthepeacock8020 In the lore it likely is partially a copy, but in Japan and in mythology and history in general, Gold is a color of royalty. Plus Black Frieza later on makes the trifecta of Japanese Credit Card colors. Which makes sense due to Frieza running a planet selling business. Yes, Frieza's race can change their forms to their taste in at least some regard, but there is also some pattern to the designs, too. Cooler's fifth form doesn't seem to come from training, and Frieza's Golden Form and Black form are the only refs we have of further forms made through training. Plus, Frieza, King Cold, and Cooler all are mutations so not everything they have access to would apply or be negotiable in design or color for other members of their race. Frost seems to be the only member that is the same as the Cold family in mutation, but outside of games and spinoff animation series restricted to not entirely breaking previously established forms unless combining two forms, like XenoVerse, Dragonball Online, and Super Dragonball Heroes, we don't know how else Frieza could have done his transformations, or what exactly the limits of non mutants of his race have compared to Frieza himself.
Cooler could get the Tarble treatment, there are several ways to explain him never appearing before. Maybe he is not evil or the opposite he might be too evil for even King Cold to stomach. Personnaly I want him to not be evil at all, imagine being the only one having a conscience and feeling guilt for his family crimes.

Someone Not necessarily Evil But far from a good guy or hero.. just Someone that wants to be out of the way; content running things behind the curtain.. otherwise he has No strong feelings 1 way or the other...So whosoever lines up with him he goes for it…kind of like a god of Destruction..maybe have him training to be one so that’s why we don’t see him.. an he had to stop training to takeover freza spot cuz competitors wanted his position.
Honestly I don't understand it. Tarble appeared and was made canon despite adding absolutely nothing to the series. Yet you have people like Cooler, Bojack or even Lord Slug would not only have a lot to add to canon but can even get the Broly treatment. Like I get it's Toriyama show and he can do whatever he wants, but the wasted potential will never not bother me.
Cooler would likely be like a good new villain for Goten and Trunks, and it will finally give Goten character development instead of him being just "Little Kakarot"
If we’re having the Dark Namekians being reworked into canon… I mean… giant evil Namekians… At this point, let’s bring back Slug. Imagine a Piccolo focused movie where Slug returns to Namek and Piccolo has to save it. And imagine how could it would be to have Orange Piccolo face-off against the giant Super Namekian!
I personally think having cooler and freeza would be a great play going forward. It's takes away the easy "just fuse" from Goku and Vegeta, and would likely need the help of some of the other dragon fighters. Plus you could also have their bickering being key to their downfall.
I’ve always wanted Cooler to be canon for so long, and I’ve been keeping up with your version of “What If Cooler was canonically good?” I’ve watched Salad Saiyan’s both What if’s (If Cooler became canon and What if Cooler turned good.) Those two were absolutely incredible, I’m waiting for more videos on your take on Cooler. I want him to be canon as well. Also thinking back on things in Dragonball GT SSJ4 Goku uses the move Dragon Fist which was a movie exclusive technique shown in the Wrath of the Dragon movie so would that mean Wrath of the Dragon is canon to Dragonball GT only?
I absolutely love your idea of Cooler being, hilariously, frozen. I always loved that sort of trope in DB: DKP being sealed away, Moro in a galactic maximum security prison, or Bojack being sealed away (somehow?). I could see Frieza neglecting ever freeing his brother bc his father lied to him and said that Cooler being freed would make him the heir or something. Frieza, being the arrogant dude he is, would not let his brother free for that reason. When in truth, it was because Cold knew he had Friezas potential but the battle tactics of himself, which would be dangerous for both him and Frieza. Frieza likely now believes himself to be untouchable, far eclipsing his brothers strength and could always be one step ahead of him. So he unfreezes Cooler for a training partner, which Cooler immediately accepts. Cooler would be getting stronger himself and could even turn on his brother after he feels confident he can beat Frieza. Would be a pretty sick twist. I always loved the idea that Cooler is more level headed than Frieza and can think a little more into the future than him as well. This would be a great way to showcase Cooler’s cunning and also his disregard for others, even his own kin.
I like to think Cooler simply didnt care about ruling the galaxy. He found himself a planet took it over and allowed Frieza to inherit King colds empires and responsibilities. Perhaps its a savage planet similar to Broly's in terms of threat but with more inteeligent life and thats just how cooler likes it. All that changes when Cooler planet1 is blown up by a Frieza force team and Cooler sets out to eliminate Friezas men. That's when Frieza actually looks to seek out Goku's help.
Imagine if they really upped the ante with multiple villains like you said. Frieza and Piccolo could be the focus as they are forced to fight an unlikely alliance of a Black Cooler and Orange Lord Slug!
Cooler should have become canon back in the Resurrection F movie. Something motivates Cooler to send henchmen to Earth and gather the dragon balls to wish Frieza and King Cold back and then after a certain amount of time away where Frieza and Cold train, they return to Earth and we get Goku vs Cooler, Gohan vs Cold and Vegeta vs Frieza.
I want to see an arc about one of the other gods of destruction retiring and getting a replacement. If the replacement was a demon clan Namekian, or a wayward saiyan from either universe 6 or 7, that would be pretty neato.

I wanted cooler to be canon ever since I first saw the movie back in 2010 when I was young. I always admire his final transformation and it be so cool to see him revised and maybe a new chr development for him to make him slightly better than frieza
You can make it so that King Cold, before creating his vast empire, was actually exiled from his home planet because of his evil nature and mutant power. Then Cooler could've been chosen to rule over their home world as a good guy/ anti-hero figure OR as an evil force who would eventually usurp whoever the replacement for King Cold is. Not only would Frieza's training be for the purpose of surpassing Goku and Vegeta, but also to reclaim rulership of his home planet.
One decent explanation for Cooler entering Canon only now could be that Cooler is the failure of the family, this would be a huge rewrite for Cooler but I could see him being reworked to be the failed first attempt by King Cold someone that came out with a decent power but not as much as expected or maybe his personality wasn't as cruel as he wanted. Either way Cooler gets exiled from the Cold family and you could have an Arc about Cooler going after Frieza, maybe even recruiting the Saiyans for help. It's a bit of an out there idea but I think with the right execution it could work.
Things I want to see: • Pan (or any major female character) being relevant • Gohan's new form redesigned and renamed • Cooler brought into the main canon • More side stories with the non-deity-level characters facing real threats without deus ex Goku • Literally any lasting consequences
I'd love to see Cooler be made canon but I wouldn't want him to be a one and done arc antagonist. Let him live and just...be around. Frieza doesn't have a lot of people he can just talk to for character development purposes...having an older brother loose in the universe to occasionally drop some wisdom on him/beat some sense into him might make for some interesting moments. I like Cold too and wish he'd gotten more screen time. He'd be a good one-off villain. Maybe one that would force his boys to put aside their differences to defeat?
cooler's such a chad. id love to see him canon, i love villain duos and i love the dynamic we see of cooler and frieza in videogames or when they interact. all you'd really need is a good explanation and i like the cryostasis theory enough

I'd absolutely love to see Cooler be canon but if we do I dont want Cooler Black. We need more unique, distinctive power ups for characters. Let Freeza do his transformations and let Cooler go the cybernetic route. Maybe a beefed up Metal Cooler minus the ridiculous big getty star and a better explanation of how and why.
Personally, I feel like the best time to introduce cooler would’ve been the Resurrection F movie. Have cooler revive Freeza train him up so he can go gold and then have them in the tournament of power. My guess would also be neat to revive king cold.

Cooler of introduced into canon, he should be a lawful neutral kind of guy instead of a lawful evil like Frieza. Cooler like Frieza would have his own empire but less on a grander scale like Friezas, his focuses on quality over quantity with more tactically smart soldiers/fighters and would represent him truly being a more mature being than his brother. He treats his men and women fairly and unlike Frieza he could use his actions to earn respect showing that he is willing to help his soldiers if need be instead of sending them to their deaths like Frieza does. Maybe cooler instead of subjugating and Destroying world, he is more on business transactions like he would assure planets safety's in exchange for luxurious foods, drinks money and so on. He also knows about the saiyains and Frieza, he hoped they could one day contend with his power instead of fearing the ssj like Frieza. He could be more interested in good fights whether he loses or not then just being overly cocky, there's so much potential with cooler becoming canon to shed new light into maybe the frost demon race as well!
I've had a DBS Cooler concept on my mind for *years* so I'll just share it here: Cooler was the first born of King Cold. A coldhearted(no pun intended) individual, however not as dramatic and maniacal as Freezer. A young Cooler was his father's personal assasin, sent on missions to conquer the most powerful of population.(Might have even assisted in conquering the Saiyan race). However, as Cooler grew more powerful, King Cold grew more paranoid, not being ready to retire and give up his throne yet. So one day, he decides to send Cooler on a "scouting mission" , blasting the ship that Cooler was traveling in. He survived and went to recover on a desolate planet. King Cold moved on in life and gave birth to Freezer, being ready to give up control years later. *skip to current time* An underground criminal space empire has been plaguing the galacting Patrol for years begins to even raid Freezer Force ships, "freeing planets", and recruiting fighters for their anti-Freezer cause. They are perceived as benevolent rebels by some civilizations, which obviously pisses off Freezer who decides to hunt and eliminate the new empire trying to rival him. After tracking, capturing and torturing individual members, the leader's hideout still isn't revealed and Freezer is confused by the concept of an empire leader having loyal followers out of respect and not just fear. Meanwhile, at the hideout, a Freezer-army-soldier gets interrogated by Salza, the empire's second-in-command. At the sight of his energy blade, the soldier budges and reveals Freezer's ambition to conquer Earth and to collect the dragonballs. Salza reports the Intel to the empire's shadow leader: Cooler (I know, biiiiig surprise). Cooler, being the more rational thinking and less powerhungry individual, comes to the conclusion that no one should wield such wish granting power and desires to destroy them. It is then revealed that Cooler does have a spiteful side and secretly wishes to destroy the Freezer Force and make Freezer serve him in order to destroy his father's legacy. At one point in the story, Freezer and Cooler declare war for Earth, willing to destroy it in the process. Cooler wouldn't be as blood thirsty as his brother but he wouldn't care about a civilization that is none of his concern either. This is where Goku, Vegeta, 17, etc would step in and fighting both sides to end a world destroying war.
i myself have always liked the idea of other universes out side of zenos sight or power. something so far away in the void that everyone just thinks there is nothing out there but there is just far far away. something dark and evil a whole new realm to explore and more to learn. more on the whole magic side of the power. having more info on magic and how the magic works would be cool.

While I do want more non canon characters to come into canon, I feel like with cooler, once you open Pandora’s box, it’s hard to close without a certain degree of precision delicacy. A delicacy dragon ball is historically known for not having. Like broly, love him to death and he’s the reason I got into dragon ball, but I’m 90% sure he’s gonna get “gohan-ed.” people get mad if you don’t use him but his Established gimmick makes him so OP that if you use him too much, he’ll out pace everyone and it’ll become the broly show. Same thing with cooler, he’s a second frieza. Either cooler is this super powerful 1 shot character in this new arc (which would massively disappoint his fans) or you have frieza 2.0 with the original. It’s just, once you bring him in, what do you do with him? Is he a main stay? If he is, what next? Does he just show up conveniently at the same power level as the crew to start problems? Does he just sit around and sip wine? Right now we’re waiting for the rematch against frieza, but even then, what after that? What will frieza be doing after it? Does he just train some more or does he just chill? That question gets even more complicated when you factor in that there’s 2 of them.
I think it would be cool if the Namekians are actually extra-dimensional conquerors with very powerful Fighters and have super advanced technology, and the namekians we've seen so far are actually descendants of the refugees who fled from the empire.
If there's anything I want back into canon it's Super Saiyan 4. Beyond it's incredible design, the grounds for it to appear again isn't farfetched. It's stated that Broly's Wrathful Form actually similarly draws on the power of the Saiyan's Oozaru stage while the user maintains their human form so if "Diet SSJ4" can cause that much trouble for Super Saiyan Gods, I could imagine how much damage the real thing could do.
i hope they get adventurous, bring back a bunch of the movie villains as a big squad, they don't have to be limited to U7 really. for example, much like Kale is Broly's counterpart, why not spin things a bit? Bring back Cooler as a U6 character, maybe Frost's father to parallel King Cold? have the other movie villains be his underdogs. Slug, Turles (Goku's counterpart, a U6 saiyan who became corrupted). would make for an interesting plot, and doesn't have to include the Z warriors at all, for example Vegeta could play a passive role in mentoring Cabba, Kale and Caulifla without actually fighting their opponents until he is truly needed. this can help break away from the usual formula of "next opponent stronger than previous one", have our heroes take a side role and world build as well as give the universe 6 saiyans a decent standalone arc
What if Cooler was good... And canon. Unfortunately I think the SH adaptation has more pressure for it to be good than the prequel stuff. Really hope it isn't just a regular straight adaptation. "Deleted scenes" is a good but we need more intrigue
My friend and I are always talking about how Cooler should be Canon. Instead of him transforming into his next form, he should already be in it. Constantly. Because let's be real, that's his most iconic form. But when he's not around others, he's in his fourth form and uses a machine to maintain his "fifth form." It's kind of like a mutation rather than a perfected transformation. Only his trusted servant is able to see him using this mutation pod. We kind of made a parallel between him and darth vader using his mediation chamber. Everyone sees how powerful and menacing vader is, but yet when he's in his meditation chamber, he's a broken man. He wants to be superior to his brother in every way, but he's very insecure and jealous. So he gives off this sinister bravado to the world. Also just to make a big nod to return of cooler, they should bring the big Getty star as his ship. Kind of like a death star kind of thing. Going from one planet to the next draining its resources for his own personal needs. But that's just our idea.
I wish my favorite franchises would hire these RUclipsrs to write for them. They are arguably a lot better than the current day writing staffs. These are all great ideas that I would love to see.
My personal Headcanon for the whole king/emperor deal was that frieza's race takes an unusual pride in their forms, specifically the ability to retain their strength in previous stages. Frieza might exist in 1st form to show off how strong they were.
I mean delivarance hinted that namekinans were one could say the og conquering empire, as well as the exploration of there culture prior to the cataclysm that made namek what its now in the dbz universe, as for the majin you could brind janemba having be empowered by the same dark magic that created buu. Dragon ball online as well as gt could bring in potential storylines to explore in the future if handled correctly.
I would love to see Cooler made canon. The biggest issue imo would be his power scaling. Now that we have black Frieza I could see some issues as to Coolers multiple forms/colors, where has he been etc. Also, they could use universe 8 has a "catch all" for idea which what was I believed Kale for Broly was until we actually got Broly made canon. So I wouldn't want a U8 Cooler but our own I guess.
This plot, is VERY alike to Dragon Ball Hakai. A fan manga where Freeza, during everythint thats happening, goes to grab 5 sort of.. Demon relics. One of them was Kid Buu, but the other ones you can see people like Janemba! One of the first enemies they fight is Garlic Jr in hell etc Its all very interesting. Again, this is an exact match up to Hakai, Freeza comes to Cooler, whos in shackles and a cryo chamber. Freeza frees him, and Cooler shows his demonic strength, in 5th form, when Freeza turns black and sits him down. Freeza uses Cooler like a training partner and work partner to help him with the main plot Go check it out, if you wanna see this ACTUALLY happen.

Tbh I think an amazing twist can be a villain learning ui, and I feel cooler would be so dope with it, and it can keep the narrative of being the superior brother. What do you guys think?
I like to imagnen that while Frieza ran the Galactic Empire, the authoritarian one. Cooler meanwhile i could see running the Criminal Empire of the Universe. Out of the way and hidden (Maybe because of bad blood with Frieza). Putting him in a similiar position as Frieza but still some reason to why we haven't seen him in canon. I feel by making Cooler an galactic Crimelord would make run what is essentially the shadow of Frieza's faction. This is obviously also something you could do to make Bojack canon, but i can defiently see Cooler and Bojack being canon together in that idea.
There is another possibility on how Cooler could be introduced into canon proper, regardless of them training with Freeza in that Alien Room of Spirit and Time or not. Thanks to the events of the Super Broly movie Freeza now knows about Fusion and I imagine he would have set his empire to find every bit of possible bit of information relating to it. There's just the issue of would Freeza be willing to fuse with anyone like that within any situation?
Best chance is if he finds out about future trunks, alternate timeliness, and can get to the Supreme Kai to nab a time ring to meld to himself, because only Freeza is worthy to be Freeza.
Cooler and King cold would be good as training partners, but there's one I'd argue for more since he could survive almost anything Freeza does to him and still get stronger. We've seen Freeza benefit from wishes made on the dragonballs, as well as his giving up on immortality in exchange for getting taller, what if he's finally recognised the value of a training partner and having heard of the trouble the "Z fighters" had with him, and his overall amenable personality [more interested in combat and proving his strength than ruling,] Freeza brings back Cell [who should be capable of SSG AND Gold/black transformations. Perhaps even perfect cell being a misnomer and that really being his equivalent of Freeza's first or 2nd forms? If only Cell Max hadn't been used in Super Hero, bringing back the real Cell could feel repetitive now.
The “Frieza with a Training Companion” feels right to me. I’ve heeded it before, and it fits. Plus, after Black Frieza came out, big events with Cooler started happening in games, and I thought, “Are they teasing that Cooler will be canon soon?” They added LR Cooler and Birdku to Dokkan, LR Metal Cooler and SS Goku and Vegeta from the Cooler Movie aswell. They added LL Cooler to Legends (yeah for the Powerful Opponent thing, but then again they could’ve added someone like Golden Frieza LL or Bojack LL, for crying out loud, Hatchiyack LL.) They added them at the same time as Black Frieza announcement sooooo
I still like the idea that me and my friends talked about how Res:F shouldn't have happened and instead got a CANNON Cooler movie and just expand his character to fit the current DB Super story instead of just turning Freeza "good"
I would prefer to see Cooler return as a hero. I like the idea that he was a part of the same defense force as Cabba. Fighting under Frost to protect Universe 6. But then when Frost was ousted, Cooler takes over as the new leader. This way we could make up for the travesty that was revealing Frost as a Villain, expand on U6 lore, and not hang on to the trope of "Surprise! Universe 7 had ANOTHER ultimate evil just sitting around waiting for their turn to get launched into the sun!" Universe 7 is tapped out. And you can blame that all on Frieza and Shin. Its time to actually capitalize on the Multiverse thing. DB opened the doors for an entire multiverse of possibilities, and keeps resorting to the same tired bologna.
Lol I've been writing a fan fiction that's full of What If's and for Freeza to become Golden, he sucks up his pride and trains with Coola. Good thing I'm not the only person to think of this.
there is already a Fan Manga involving Freeza and Cooler and its awesome, fans are already doing that which we wanted the companies to do for years, plus the official stuff takes a whole month for a mere chapter while fans equal the style and take a week, with the exception of Kakumei which takes longer probably due to its gigantically different yet very good artstyle
while it takes longer the pacing is way better than what we get with toyotaro I feel, stuff moves along and I feel they have a clear direction for their stories.
I'm more intrigued with the dark namekians than Cooler coming back. But both options are way better story telling than retelling the super hero movie in manga/anime.
I do agree that if they retell the story it shouldn't be note for note. Not even the whole copy some one else's homework and change a few things. I think I agree to tell the movie but change the perspective or POV from Gohan and Piccolo and allow Goten and Trunks to have some moments to back up their roles. At least according to the manga with their adventures they kind are the catalyst for the Gamma's in terms of their duo act. It would be off for them to be side-lined like they usually have been only to show up at the end like the movie.
Cooler could be reintroduced in various ways I personally would find it cool if he was just living among one of the other universes that didn't participate in the tournament of power and Freeza lets just say paid a visit after losing broly's alliance and that's where their 10 years of training came and if Toriyama really wants to step it up bring the freeze race into light bringing more than just cooler. the Broly movie was made up of the 3 most popular DBZ movies the cooler movie just happened to be 4rth one place away from becoming cannon. It wouldn't be so much of a reach not only that Universe 7 is stalked with powerful characters Goku,vegeta, Broly,Gohan, Piccolo, Gotanks, Beerus, etc you get the idea freeza needs to have a powerful squad to lead.

Honestly, I doubt anybody would care if they just completely ditched Turles's "evil Goku" shtick and just redesigned him to look different.
Let Trunks and Goten deal with Turles, you'd still have to make him more powerful but not enough to point where he's Goku and Vegeta levels
Look at people's complaints against Cell Max. People want it to be Cell revived but then they also want original stuff. If we get more stuff brought back like Turles or Lord Slug, then people will just start whining about them being brought in instead of new stuff.
It's gonna be a challenge to explain Cooler's existence if he had been made canon in Dragon Ball Super and where he had been all this time.

After the past 3 days watching all the z movies and TV series super should of started after bio broly it would of worked
Cooler, at least in the dub, always came off as insecure. He's so desperate to "not be his brother" despite being almost exactly like his brother. One thing always separated him however, he was a martial artist, he trained. Now with Frieza training, the one thing Cooler had to self-identify himself is now gone, but that ironically makes it the perfect time to reintroduce him. A character who had it all, but now is redundant and falling into obscurity, also has the highest motivation to make themselves known.
And if we were to bring him back Broly-style, then we could retool his story and personality slightly to excuse why we've never seen him. Maybe he heard of Frieza's demise on Namek, and spent all his time preparing to "get revenge", but while keeping tabs on our heroes, he knew he wasn't strong enough. Now imagine decades of falling behind the Z team, plus his brother returning stronger, and he could break down which would cause any kind of story you want. Hmm, maybe he could look into a certain star to boost his power out of desperation?
Cooler has the best Frieza race design by far, both his true form and 5th form, and his golden form is just extra level awesome.

@@albertthepeacock8020 In the lore it likely is partially a copy, but in Japan and in mythology and history in general, Gold is a color of royalty. Plus Black Frieza later on makes the trifecta of Japanese Credit Card colors. Which makes sense due to Frieza running a planet selling business. Yes, Frieza's race can change their forms to their taste in at least some regard, but there is also some pattern to the designs, too. Cooler's fifth form doesn't seem to come from training, and Frieza's Golden Form and Black form are the only refs we have of further forms made through training. Plus, Frieza, King Cold, and Cooler all are mutations so not everything they have access to would apply or be negotiable in design or color for other members of their race. Frost seems to be the only member that is the same as the Cold family in mutation, but outside of games and spinoff animation series restricted to not entirely breaking previously established forms unless combining two forms, like XenoVerse, Dragonball Online, and Super Dragonball Heroes, we don't know how else Frieza could have done his transformations, or what exactly the limits of non mutants of his race have compared to Frieza himself.
Cooler could get the Tarble treatment, there are several ways to explain him never appearing before. Maybe he is not evil or the opposite he might be too evil for even King Cold to stomach. Personnaly I want him to not be evil at all, imagine being the only one having a conscience and feeling guilt for his family crimes.
Same.. I would rather cooler be… Very, Neutral Grey character. Someone Not necessarily Evil But far from a good guy or hero.. just Someone that wants to be out of the way; content running things behind the curtain.. otherwise he has No strong feelings 1 way or the other...So whosoever lines up with him he goes for it…kind of like a god of Destruction..maybe have him training to be one so that’s why we don’t see him.. an he had to stop training to takeover freza spot cuz competitors wanted his position.
Honestly I don't understand it. Tarble appeared and was made canon despite adding absolutely nothing to the series. Yet you have people like Cooler, Bojack or even Lord Slug would not only have a lot to add to canon but can even get the Broly treatment. Like I get it's Toriyama show and he can do whatever he wants, but the wasted potential will never not bother me.

Cooler would likely be like a good new villain for Goten and Trunks, and it will finally give Goten character development instead of him being just "Little Kakarot"
I feel like Janemba fills that role better.

At this point, let’s bring back Slug. Imagine a Piccolo focused movie where Slug returns to Namek and Piccolo has to save it. And imagine how could it would be to have Orange Piccolo face-off against the giant Super Namekian!
I personally think having cooler and freeza would be a great play going forward. It's takes away the easy "just fuse" from Goku and Vegeta, and would likely need the help of some of the other dragon fighters. Plus you could also have their bickering being key to their downfall.
I’ve always wanted Cooler to be canon for so long, and I’ve been keeping up with your version of “What If Cooler was canonically good?” I’ve watched Salad Saiyan’s both What if’s (If Cooler became canon and What if Cooler turned good.) Those two were absolutely incredible, I’m waiting for more videos on your take on Cooler. I want him to be canon as well. Also thinking back on things in Dragonball GT SSJ4 Goku uses the move Dragon Fist which was a movie exclusive technique shown in the Wrath of the Dragon movie so would that mean Wrath of the Dragon is canon to Dragonball GT only?

I absolutely love your idea of Cooler being, hilariously, frozen. I always loved that sort of trope in DB: DKP being sealed away, Moro in a galactic maximum security prison, or Bojack being sealed away (somehow?). I could see Frieza neglecting ever freeing his brother bc his father lied to him and said that Cooler being freed would make him the heir or something. Frieza, being the arrogant dude he is, would not let his brother free for that reason. When in truth, it was because Cold knew he had Friezas potential but the battle tactics of himself, which would be dangerous for both him and Frieza.
Frieza likely now believes himself to be untouchable, far eclipsing his brothers strength and could always be one step ahead of him. So he unfreezes Cooler for a training partner, which Cooler immediately accepts. Cooler would be getting stronger himself and could even turn on his brother after he feels confident he can beat Frieza. Would be a pretty sick twist. I always loved the idea that Cooler is more level headed than Frieza and can think a little more into the future than him as well. This would be a great way to showcase Cooler’s cunning and also his disregard for others, even his own kin.

I like to think Cooler simply didnt care about ruling the galaxy. He found himself a planet took it over and allowed Frieza to inherit King colds empires and responsibilities. Perhaps its a savage planet similar to Broly's in terms of threat but with more inteeligent life and thats just how cooler likes it.
All that changes when Cooler planet1 is blown up by a Frieza force team and Cooler sets out to eliminate Friezas men. That's when Frieza actually looks to seek out Goku's help.
Imagine if they really upped the ante with multiple villains like you said. Frieza and Piccolo could be the focus as they are forced to fight an unlikely alliance of a Black Cooler and Orange Lord Slug!
Red Cell vs Beast Goku
Cooler should have become canon back in the Resurrection F movie. Something motivates Cooler to send henchmen to Earth and gather the dragon balls to wish Frieza and King Cold back and then after a certain amount of time away where Frieza and Cold train, they return to Earth and we get Goku vs Cooler, Gohan vs Cold and Vegeta vs Frieza.
I want to see an arc about one of the other gods of destruction retiring and getting a replacement. If the replacement was a demon clan Namekian, or a wayward saiyan from either universe 6 or 7, that would be pretty neato.
*Didn't Toyotarou draw Cooler in the Dragon Ball Super style* not too long ago? So it seems like the character is on his mind atleast. I'm just glad he isn't forgotten outside of the games, but there is potential there for more character development 👍

I wanted cooler to be canon ever since I first saw the movie back in 2010 when I was young. I always admire his final transformation and it be so cool to see him revised and maybe a new chr development for him to make him slightly better than frieza
You can make it so that King Cold, before creating his vast empire, was actually exiled from his home planet because of his evil nature and mutant power. Then Cooler could've been chosen to rule over their home world as a good guy/ anti-hero figure OR as an evil force who would eventually usurp whoever the replacement for King Cold is.
Not only would Frieza's training be for the purpose of surpassing Goku and Vegeta, but also to reclaim rulership of his home planet.
One decent explanation for Cooler entering Canon only now could be that Cooler is the failure of the family, this would be a huge rewrite for Cooler but I could see him being reworked to be the failed first attempt by King Cold someone that came out with a decent power but not as much as expected or maybe his personality wasn't as cruel as he wanted. Either way Cooler gets exiled from the Cold family and you could have an Arc about Cooler going after Frieza, maybe even recruiting the Saiyans for help. It's a bit of an out there idea but I think with the right execution it could work.
Things I want to see:
• Pan (or any major female character) being relevant
• Gohan's new form redesigned and renamed
• Cooler brought into the main canon
• More side stories with the non-deity-level characters facing real threats without deus ex Goku
• Literally any lasting consequences
I'd love to see Cooler be made canon but I wouldn't want him to be a one and done arc antagonist. Let him live and just...be around. Frieza doesn't have a lot of people he can just talk to for character development purposes...having an older brother loose in the universe to occasionally drop some wisdom on him/beat some sense into him might make for some interesting moments.
I like Cold too and wish he'd gotten more screen time. He'd be a good one-off villain. Maybe one that would force his boys to put aside their differences to defeat?
cooler's such a chad. id love to see him canon, i love villain duos and i love the dynamic we see of cooler and frieza in videogames or when they interact. all you'd really need is a good explanation and i like the cryostasis theory enough
I honestly think that this discussion was telling a lot of facts about how Super is Right now and what's likely expected to come in the future. (I'm still waiting for the Anime or movies of the Moro or Granolah arc for Dbs.)

I'd absolutely love to see Cooler be canon but if we do I dont want Cooler Black. We need more unique, distinctive power ups for characters. Let Freeza do his transformations and let Cooler go the cybernetic route. Maybe a beefed up Metal Cooler minus the ridiculous big getty star and a better explanation of how and why.

Cooler of introduced into canon, he should be a lawful neutral kind of guy instead of a lawful evil like Frieza. Cooler like Frieza would have his own empire but less on a grander scale like Friezas, his focuses on quality over quantity with more tactically smart soldiers/fighters and would represent him truly being a more mature being than his brother. He treats his men and women fairly and unlike Frieza he could use his actions to earn respect showing that he is willing to help his soldiers if need be instead of sending them to their deaths like Frieza does. Maybe cooler instead of subjugating and Destroying world, he is more on business transactions like he would assure planets safety's in exchange for luxurious foods, drinks money and so on. He also knows about the saiyains and Frieza, he hoped they could one day contend with his power instead of fearing the ssj like Frieza. He could be more interested in good fights whether he loses or not then just being overly cocky, there's so much potential with cooler becoming canon to shed new light into maybe the frost demon race as well!

I've had a DBS Cooler concept on my mind for *years* so I'll just share it here:
Cooler was the first born of King Cold. A coldhearted(no pun intended) individual, however not as dramatic and maniacal as Freezer. A young Cooler was his father's personal assasin, sent on missions to conquer the most powerful of population.(Might have even assisted in conquering the Saiyan race). However, as Cooler grew more powerful, King Cold grew more paranoid, not being ready to retire and give up his throne yet. So one day, he decides to send Cooler on a "scouting mission" , blasting the ship that Cooler was traveling in. He survived and went to recover on a desolate planet. King Cold moved on in life and gave birth to Freezer, being ready to give up control years later.
*skip to current time*
An underground criminal space empire has been plaguing the galacting Patrol for years begins to even raid Freezer Force ships, "freeing planets", and recruiting fighters for their anti-Freezer cause. They are perceived as benevolent rebels by some civilizations, which obviously pisses off Freezer who decides to hunt and eliminate the new empire trying to rival him. After tracking, capturing and torturing individual members, the leader's hideout still isn't revealed and Freezer is confused by the concept of an empire leader having loyal followers out of respect and not just fear.
Meanwhile, at the hideout, a Freezer-army-soldier gets interrogated by Salza, the empire's second-in-command. At the sight of his energy blade, the soldier budges and reveals Freezer's ambition to conquer Earth and to collect the dragonballs. Salza reports the Intel to the empire's shadow leader: Cooler (I know, biiiiig surprise). Cooler, being the more rational thinking and less powerhungry individual, comes to the conclusion that no one should wield such wish granting power and desires to destroy them. It is then revealed that Cooler does have a spiteful side and secretly wishes to destroy the Freezer Force and make Freezer serve him in order to destroy his father's legacy.
At one point in the story, Freezer and Cooler declare war for Earth, willing to destroy it in the process. Cooler wouldn't be as blood thirsty as his brother but he wouldn't care about a civilization that is none of his concern either. This is where Goku, Vegeta, 17, etc would step in and fighting both sides to end a world destroying war.
Things I really hope to see in Dragonball Canon are the Majin race being introduced and the official name for the Frieza race

i myself have always liked the idea of other universes out side of zenos sight or power. something so far away in the void that everyone just thinks there is nothing out there but there is just far far away. something dark and evil a whole new realm to explore and more to learn. more on the whole magic side of the power. having more info on magic and how the magic works would be cool.

While I do want more non canon characters to come into canon, I feel like with cooler, once you open Pandora’s box, it’s hard to close without a certain degree of precision delicacy. A delicacy dragon ball is historically known for not having.
Like broly, love him to death and he’s the reason I got into dragon ball, but I’m 90% sure he’s gonna get “gohan-ed.” people get mad if you don’t use him but his Established gimmick makes him so OP that if you use him too much, he’ll out pace everyone and it’ll become the broly show.
Same thing with cooler, he’s a second frieza. Either cooler is this super powerful 1 shot character in this new arc (which would massively disappoint his fans) or you have frieza 2.0 with the original.
It’s just, once you bring him in, what do you do with him? Is he a main stay? If he is, what next? Does he just show up conveniently at the same power level as the crew to start problems? Does he just sit around and sip wine? Right now we’re waiting for the rematch against frieza, but even then, what after that? What will frieza be doing after it? Does he just train some more or does he just chill? That question gets even more complicated when you factor in that there’s 2 of them.
Cooler in his final form reminds me of TMNT 2k3 Shredder. Going for a tengu look.

If there's anything I want back into canon it's Super Saiyan 4. Beyond it's incredible design, the grounds for it to appear again isn't farfetched. It's stated that Broly's Wrathful Form actually similarly draws on the power of the Saiyan's Oozaru stage while the user maintains their human form so if "Diet SSJ4" can cause that much trouble for Super Saiyan Gods, I could imagine how much damage the real thing could do.

Akira toriyama should reinvent cooler like he did with broly to integrate him into super.
i hope they get adventurous, bring back a bunch of the movie villains as a big squad, they don't have to be limited to U7 really.
for example, much like Kale is Broly's counterpart, why not spin things a bit?
Bring back Cooler as a U6 character, maybe Frost's father to parallel King Cold? have the other movie villains be his underdogs. Slug, Turles (Goku's counterpart, a U6 saiyan who became corrupted). would make for an interesting plot, and doesn't have to include the Z warriors at all, for example Vegeta could play a passive role in mentoring Cabba, Kale and Caulifla without actually fighting their opponents until he is truly needed.
this can help break away from the usual formula of "next opponent stronger than previous one", have our heroes take a side role and world build as well as give the universe 6 saiyans a decent standalone arc
What if Cooler was good... And canon.
Unfortunately I think the SH adaptation has more pressure for it to be good than the prequel stuff. Really hope it isn't just a regular straight adaptation. "Deleted scenes" is a good but we need more intrigue
My friend and I are always talking about how Cooler should be Canon. Instead of him transforming into his next form, he should already be in it. Constantly.
Because let's be real, that's his most iconic form.
But when he's not around others, he's in his fourth form and uses a machine to maintain his "fifth form." It's kind of like a mutation rather than a perfected transformation. Only his trusted servant is able to see him using this mutation pod.
We kind of made a parallel between him and darth vader using his mediation chamber. Everyone sees how powerful and menacing vader is, but yet when he's in his meditation chamber, he's a broken man.
He wants to be superior to his brother in every way, but he's very insecure and jealous. So he gives off this sinister bravado to the world. Also just to make a big nod to return of cooler, they should bring the big Getty star as his ship. Kind of like a death star kind of thing. Going from one planet to the next draining its resources for his own personal needs.
But that's just our idea.
I wish my favorite franchises would hire these RUclipsrs to write for them. They are arguably a lot better than the current day writing staffs. These are all great ideas that I would love to see.
I feel bad for Freeza. No matter how cool he tries to be, his brother is always Cooler.
My personal Headcanon for the whole king/emperor deal was that frieza's race takes an unusual pride in their forms, specifically the ability to retain their strength in previous stages. Frieza might exist in 1st form to show off how strong they were.
I mean delivarance hinted that namekinans were one could say the og conquering empire, as well as the exploration of there culture prior to the cataclysm that made namek what its now in the dbz universe, as for the majin you could brind janemba having be empowered by the same dark magic that created buu. Dragon ball online as well as gt could bring in potential storylines to explore in the future if handled correctly.

I would love to see Cooler made canon. The biggest issue imo would be his power scaling. Now that we have black Frieza I could see some issues as to Coolers multiple forms/colors, where has he been etc.
Also, they could use universe 8 has a "catch all" for idea which what was I believed Kale for Broly was until we actually got Broly made canon. So I wouldn't want a U8 Cooler but our own I guess.

Again, this is an exact match up to Hakai, Freeza comes to Cooler, whos in shackles and a cryo chamber. Freeza frees him, and Cooler shows his demonic strength, in 5th form, when Freeza turns black and sits him down. Freeza uses Cooler like a training partner and work partner to help him with the main plot

I like to imagnen that while Frieza ran the Galactic Empire, the authoritarian one. Cooler meanwhile i could see running the Criminal Empire of the Universe. Out of the way and hidden (Maybe because of bad blood with Frieza). Putting him in a similiar position as Frieza but still some reason to why we haven't seen him in canon. I feel by making Cooler an galactic Crimelord would make run what is essentially the shadow of Frieza's faction.
This is obviously also something you could do to make Bojack canon, but i can defiently see Cooler and Bojack being canon together in that idea.
There is another possibility on how Cooler could be introduced into canon proper, regardless of them training with Freeza in that Alien Room of Spirit and Time or not. Thanks to the events of the Super Broly movie Freeza now knows about Fusion and I imagine he would have set his empire to find every bit of possible bit of information relating to it. There's just the issue of would Freeza be willing to fuse with anyone like that within any situation?
Best chance is if he finds out about future trunks, alternate timeliness, and can get to the Supreme Kai to nab a time ring to meld to himself, because only Freeza is worthy to be Freeza.

Cooler and King cold would be good as training partners, but there's one I'd argue for more since he could survive almost anything Freeza does to him and still get stronger.
We've seen Freeza benefit from wishes made on the dragonballs, as well as his giving up on immortality in exchange for getting taller, what if he's finally recognised the value of a training partner and having heard of the trouble the "Z fighters" had with him, and his overall amenable personality [more interested in combat and proving his strength than ruling,] Freeza brings back Cell [who should be capable of SSG AND Gold/black transformations. Perhaps even perfect cell being a misnomer and that really being his equivalent of Freeza's first or 2nd forms?
If only Cell Max hadn't been used in Super Hero, bringing back the real Cell could feel repetitive now.
The “Frieza with a Training Companion” feels right to me. I’ve heeded it before, and it fits. Plus, after Black Frieza came out, big events with Cooler started happening in games, and I thought, “Are they teasing that Cooler will be canon soon?” They added LR Cooler and Birdku to Dokkan, LR Metal Cooler and SS Goku and Vegeta from the Cooler Movie aswell. They added LL Cooler to Legends (yeah for the Powerful Opponent thing, but then again they could’ve added someone like Golden Frieza LL or Bojack LL, for crying out loud, Hatchiyack LL.) They added them at the same time as Black Frieza announcement sooooo
I still like the idea that me and my friends talked about how Res:F shouldn't have happened and instead got a CANNON Cooler movie and just expand his character to fit the current DB Super story instead of just turning Freeza "good"
I would prefer to see Cooler return as a hero. I like the idea that he was a part of the same defense force as Cabba. Fighting under Frost to protect Universe 6. But then when Frost was ousted, Cooler takes over as the new leader. This way we could make up for the travesty that was revealing Frost as a Villain, expand on U6 lore, and not hang on to the trope of "Surprise! Universe 7 had ANOTHER ultimate evil just sitting around waiting for their turn to get launched into the sun!" Universe 7 is tapped out. And you can blame that all on Frieza and Shin. Its time to actually capitalize on the Multiverse thing. DB opened the doors for an entire multiverse of possibilities, and keeps resorting to the same tired bologna.
Lol I've been writing a fan fiction that's full of What If's and for Freeza to become Golden, he sucks up his pride and trains with Coola. Good thing I'm not the only person to think of this.

there is already a Fan Manga involving Freeza and Cooler and its awesome, fans are already doing that which we wanted the companies to do for years, plus the official stuff takes a whole month for a mere chapter while fans equal the style and take a week, with the exception of Kakumei which takes longer probably due to its gigantically different yet very good artstyle
while it takes longer the pacing is way better than what we get with toyotaro I feel, stuff moves along and I feel they have a clear direction for their stories.
I'm more intrigued with the dark namekians than Cooler coming back. But both options are way better story telling than retelling the super hero movie in manga/anime.

I do agree that if they retell the story it shouldn't be note for note. Not even the whole copy some one else's homework and change a few things.
I think I agree to tell the movie but change the perspective or POV from Gohan and Piccolo and allow Goten and Trunks to have some moments to back up their roles. At least according to the manga with their adventures they kind are the catalyst for the Gamma's in terms of their duo act. It would be off for them to be side-lined like they usually have been only to show up at the end like the movie.
Cooler could be reintroduced in various ways I personally would find it cool if he was just living among one of the other universes that didn't participate in the tournament of power and Freeza lets just say paid a visit after losing broly's alliance and that's where their 10 years of training came and if Toriyama really wants to step it up bring the freeze race into light bringing more than just cooler. the Broly movie was made up of the 3 most popular DBZ movies the cooler movie just happened to be 4rth one place away from becoming cannon. It wouldn't be so much of a reach not only that Universe 7 is stalked with powerful characters Goku,vegeta, Broly,Gohan, Piccolo, Gotanks, Beerus, etc you get the idea freeza needs to have a powerful squad to lead.
We need more Uub stuff, like even something as simple as seeing him train for the martial arts tournament that this saga is a year away from.
Maybe gamma one can get over his sadness to the loss of his brother by talking to android eight who would finally get to meet his family
