Woody trying hard to stay relevant. Every generational cycle he releases what is essentially THE SAME MOVIE with the hot young stars of the moment. Years ago it was Scarlet Johanssen and Owen Wilson. Now it is Fanning and Chalamet. Same movie, slightly differently ordered plot but always about some city, Barcelona, Paris, NY, and young people involved in arts, a relationship is tested and his favorite subject of all, a young ingenue and older eccentric man.
This is every single Woody Allen movie thrown into a blender with an extra splash of pretentious douchebag. I picked for my girlfriend and I to watch. We watched half of the movie before I stopped it. and apologized. I was afraid if we made it to the end she would break up with me. I went on to apologize one last time and assure her she would pick the movie from now on. (That last part might prove to be a mistake. )
Guys save yourselves from this horrid movie there is no story plot it is just them talking for 292992 hours. I only watched this movie cause of the cast and I left with disappointment do not watch for your own good!

I saw it and timothee is kind of stereotypically timothee chamalet here. I actually think elle fanning gives the best performance of her career in the film, she is just hilarious in it as the blond klutz. But yeah the film is not the greatest and a bit snobbish at times.
How is he stereotypically Chalamet? Is his character here any close to Elio, Billy Mitman, Kayle, the Henry the V or Paul Atreides? Or the teen from Love the Coopers? Could not find any resemblance. Sorry.

What we have here is 'A Failure to Communicate: The Movie' I see this story ending two ways, one they mend their relationship of the weekend's happenings and stay together, or they break up. Either way, this is yet another trailer that kills my enthusiasm to watch a movie for showing so much I'm able to put it all together, grand work team.
