A small thing, but I LOVE the audio-mixing on this episode MUCH more than some of your earlier videos. It strikes a FAR cleaner balance between music, shop-noise, and voice-over. Very well done! I had suggested something like that earlier, and I'm really happy to see that you guys decided that was a good idea. (I'm sure you guys already had that thought, and that I'm not the first, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm still happy to see you guys moving in a more positive direction!)

I don't know what happen between you guys and Men at forge but, you guys are seamless. I've learned alot from watching your videos and channel. So, please keep u the work.. great stuff guys I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer and we have learned the martensite-bainite Fe-Fe3C stuff for a year and that is one of the most important things in the school which Ilya just told in a nutshell, but it took me a long long time to understand these things back than when we learned it. I wish I have heard this monologue when we were learning about these, it would have helped a lot to understand the basics :) thank you for your teaching videos big fan from Hungary, keep up guys, your work and videos were one of my main motivations to start making knives thank you :)

If I may suggest, the next time you want to collaborate for a handle, try The Samurai Carpender. He's really cool, makes beautiful work, and, unlike Blackbeard, actually knows what he's talking about. :)
I AGREE!!! I felt that Blackbeard cheaped out on the wood. His file work and the laminate on the inside of the scales was a nice accent but his pins were boring (and too many) and the wood was a really plain choice, just uninspiring.
@@YourPlanetIsAToilet The main thing I noticed was that he just randomly anealed part of the handle (presumably to save the hassle of drilling tempered steel) which caused a lot of thermal stress on the blade, which can't be releaved without completely redoing the temper. Also, putting epoxy in the center of the pins kinda ruins them, since it means you can't rivet the ends to tighten the handle. It was a beautiful looking handle, but there's a good chance the wood will work loose, or just have the blade break completely off.
