My favorite so far is the Beauty Josean Glow serum with the propolis and niacinamide. Such a big difference in my pores and refining my skin
Next would be the CosRx snail mucin. I have the regular snail mucin only but just got the dual one you featured today. But goodness the plumpness and glow in my 60+ skin, wonderful!
My only complaint is we don’t get to see you and your videos nearly enough

Hey Melissa! Did you know that Beauty of Joseon also makes a fantastic retinaldehyde eye cream? It even has Penn Smith's endorsement too. Like all of their products, the texture is amazing and works well as a night treatment under the eyes. No irritation at all. Its just beautiful!
(sidenote: to answer your question in a non-obnoxious way, I believe it is pronounced "Joe-Sahn" not "Joe-see-ahn." I hope that helps!❤)
Another of my favorite new-to-me brands and products this year is Dermelect. While I love most of what I've tried so far, their Self-esteem serum, which is a powerhouse of exfoliating ingredients, is my biggest standout. Both Penn Smith and Jen Phelps have also sung its praises. The serum has really done wonders for my skin texture, and I saw immediate results the from the very first morning after using the serum. As you know, immediate noticable results don't happen often with skincare. I was blown away! I alternate nights between the Dermelect Self-esteem serum and the Naturium Retinaldehyde. They make an incredible team and I don't feel like I'm missing Tretinoin in my routine at all.
Another new favorite has been a moisturizer from Thank You Farmer thats a gel on the outside and a rich cream in the middle. You get a little of each and the luxurious texture as the two combine and melt into the skin is exquisite! I'm not sure how they do it but it feels like magic and I highly recommend!! ❤❤❤

The biggest find for me in 2023 for skin care has been D'Alba white truffle products. I started with the first serum spray and was hooked!
The entire line if wonderful- and I have also added the clarins double serum.
Anywho... glad to hear that the castor oil is helping with the pain... slowly but surely you will be pain free... holding space for that to happen. May 2024 bring us all an abundance of health and happiness... remember... you are loved!💚

I was acne prone and oily most of my life and didn't understand the "science" in having healthy skin. Hydrating toners and chemical exfoliates are for me. My complexion looks better today than a decade ago. Your hair and skin care videos are my favorites. With all that you have been through, you look absolutely radiant on the outside. None of us know your internal struggle. I'm taking care of the Holiday business one day at time and look forward to 2024.

Hey Melissa! I have the DRMTLGY Pumpkin Enzyme mask. It takes my topcoat off my nail polish so I only use it on days when I’m redoing my nails or I wear gloves. No one else I know has ever had this issue. I don’t understand it but I love the product so I’ll keep using it. I think you misspoke about sebum. Sebum is the oil in the skin, not the dirt and pollutants. I’m sure you know that. Anyway, thanks for the great roundup of products. Prayers continue for healing sweet lady!❤

Hey Melissa! Nice to see you looking so good! Sorry you're still dealing with physical illness, though your lovely spiritual disposition still shines through! I've heard some very good things about Asian SPF products, that the chemical ingredients they sometimes use are more stable and less likely to irritate than the ones US manufacturers are restricted to by our FDA. Advances in mineral-only sunscreens make them better all the time, but I'd like to find a different type of product that might sit a little lighter under makeup and be a little easier to completely remove. So thank you for persevering and treating us to so much good information! And Happy Whatever Holiday You Celebrate! All good things in the coming new year!

@@MrsMelissaMok..I watched those videos. I'm still not sure where to place the Detma E DMAE copper peptides serum and the CosRX advanced snail serum radiance dual essence. I'm so excited to use both of them. Thank you.
@Jane-hs2wy your Snail Mucin should be used last, right before your moisturizer, morning & night. I would use the Derma E copper peptides after any watery essence or right before your other serums. I use my copper peptides in the morning, if you use vitamin C, you need to wait 5 or so minutes before using copper peptides.

Love your hair color… brings out your eyes and is a good tone for your skin color. also going to try some of the skincare items that you love. My eyes and other areas have really gone south lately. I look very wrinkly around my eyes and above my lip and of course my forehead… I’m 51 almost 52. I’m wondering if red light therapy or the new face could help any of this

I think you will really like the Naturium Retinal. They have a .05% that might be great for you.

I recently notice I have gotten several "MILIA". It may come from a cosmetic (or maybe food)? I NEVER had this issue previously! WHAT CAN I DO to get rid of those pesky tiny bumps? I have truly good skin apart from these annoying things right under my eye troughs. I am 66, don't look nearly that old, but I can't seem to "FIX" this. Btw, I use pretty great skincare on my face, but I'm noticing my under eyes are aging faster now. I think getting rid of those milia and getting a great eye treatment plan going, are my 1st 2 goals for 2024! After that, it is time for the peptides, copper to the rescue! Who doesn't need better collagen content? I appreciate your advice. Like you, I am battling intense health concerns which resulted from breast cancer, chemotherapy, and radiation after a very radical surgery! I spend as little as possible on my makeup at the moment, to afford good skincare. I will splurge on 'hero' products.😊❤
I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues my dear. I can't imagine how hard that must be. I haven't heard of a product to get rid of Milia. I would see a dermatologist. They can usually address those for you. The eye are is so sensitive that you don't want to mess around.

Wow, such great information! One question…I’ve read that you should not use copper peptides with Vitamin C, as it render it ineffective. How do you recommend working Vitamin C, copper peptides and retinol into a daily routine?
Hi Deb. So in the morning after cleansing, I use my vitamin C on a dry face. Then I let it dry down completely to allow it to really do its job without changing the PH. After that I do copper peptides. Let those dry down too. I haven't found any problem with this method & my skin loves it. At night I alternate days of copper peptides & Retinal. This seems to work great.the peptides I use are Biossance. They have this amazing property of being soothing & gentle but highly effective!

Wow so many questions! I’ve been using medical grade skincare for 30 years. Have a good friend who is a plastic surgeon- unfortunately he hasn’t practiced his work on me. He is super into skincare, diet and vitamin therapy. He got me on SkinMedica all those years ago and hard for me to stray BUT these products sound fascinating. He also got me on copper peptides years ago. Your skin does look gorgeous! Questions- I have super dry eye-wonder if I could get away with the retinol eye cream. Also pumpkin seed oil is vitamin A like Retin A- do you ever get any irritation? And lastly for now- do you put chemical sunscreen around your eyes?
I’m so sorry about the portal vein!!! I have an autoimmune disease of the liver bile ducts so I know about the portal vein!! Through all this were your liver enzymes ever elevated. And no- for those reading this- I don’t drink and what Melissa is going through has nothing to do with alcohol. Just when we say ‘liver’ drinking comes to mind but the liver filters everything we eat- all medicine and any creams etc we put on. For awhile I couldn’t even use Retin A. Melissa I know your portal vein will be like new in no time!!
For the dry eye I'm not sure. I use a super moisturizer from Sukoyaka Suhada because my eye area is so dry. So I use it as a last step after the drmtlgy. I'm so sorry about your liver issues. I never knew it was so painful. I really feel for you. I've only used medical grade skincare a few times so I can't really give you much to go on. Toner at least 5 to 20 minutes before. It's a pain to wait that long, but so worth it!

It's on Target's website & is linked in the video. Also, yes I use the peptides with Vitamin C. I put the peptides on first, wait about 5 minutes & continue with the rest of my routine.

I put the benton green tea Toner on before, yes. Let it dry down & then do red light. If you can wait 20 minutes before red light, that's optimal. But if not, just let it soak in so your skin's dry

I just purchased the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++ on the recommendation of Jen Phelps. It’s very light and plays well with foundation (so far). I have a question. I have the DERMA E DMAE copper peptides serum. I also have Biossance’s Copper Peptides serum. Biossance says you can’t use their copper peptides product with products containing acids. The DERMA E doesn’t mention this. I use C E + Ferulic acid and lactic acid serums on my face, neck and décolleté. I have stopped using the acids on my neck so I can use the copper peptides. Do you have any ideas about this? Biossance products all have sugarcane based squalane in them. I pray for your health. 🤗💕🌺
Hi Lorraine. So here's the best tip I've ever learned about acid & copper peptides from an aesthetician. Use your acids first. Give it 20 minutes. The acids will have done their job & are starting to lose their actives. After that time you can go in with copper peptides or Retinol. Now if you get irritation, just use them on seperate nights. But I use both & sometimes all 3. I just let a little time pass between each. It works so good for me. I hope that helps.

I loved rhe Juno Cleansing Balm but it would make my eyes blurry lol
It is an oil, so any of the balms or cleasing oil will temporarily make your eyes blurry if you get it in them. Maybe try not opening your eyes until it's completely washed away. or you can try putting some on your wash cloth first.
I wear contacts so after using a cleansing balm, I flush my eyes with solution
Snail mucin everyday. Even hubby is using it now. 😅 Take care.
