The project lead has automated a good chunk of the voice generation process, but the more people we get involved, the better. It's still gonna take a while.

I don't think the breathing is intentional. I'm pretty sure the AI is just producing it because it's in the background of the audio fed to it in order to generate the voice.

What of the other great weapons? What of Lucerne? What of Scythe (not the dexfag Great Scythe, the Bardiche one)? What of the Server and Flamberge?

As someone who used a claymore in every game, he speaks truth. You cannot claim to have mastered Dark Souls if you have not mastered the power and versatility of the claymore. It has reach, speed, a viable moveset including thrusts attacks, a good damage output and is available early, not to mention low stat requirements. Sure, it may lack the appeal of so called legendary weapons or ones with gimmicks, but it's reliability is second to none. If Dagoth Ur had only equipped his forces with claymores, he could have driven both the Tribunal and the foreign dogs out of Morrowind, and perhaps even further.
Hereby I sentence you to make another character with Zweihender as the only weapon and Excision - Bass Cannon on the background for the entire playthrough
Considering my dumbass beat the game with only the drake sword for my first run of not only Dark Souls, but a souls game in general, when I was a teen, I couldn’t give too shits how people play the game as long as it works out.
Dagoth Ur really does come off as someone who thinks the claymore is the ds equipment of the second coming and not just the most milquetoast weapon in the game next to the long sword.

@@ninelivesstealer nope by the end of the middle ages Smiths had perfected the longsword with superior steel for their blades specially compared to Japan who had bad steel and coal amounts doubled edged swords also allowed you to keep attacking since you didn't need to turn your Blade aswell.

The zweihander and claymore have the lightest load values of their class in Dark Souls. This stayed true in the sequels.
