- Please excuse the not-perfect video quality, I am only using my phone and a flexible phone mount, so it's not perfect but it's what I have! In this video I show the unboxing of my VTRETU mining case (amzn.to/3NoMc0... my 8 5700 XT's from Nerd Gearz. I also show putting it all together and plugging it in for the first time! With some many profitable coins right now, and it's not even the bull run, I want to just keep building these out because it's so much fun!! Comment down below what you guys are mining. the 5700XT is def the budget play rn, and the vtretu.. other than the overly loud PSU fan that can be fixed... really solid case.

I can't believe I got them for $150/card from nerd gearz. Was a steal. I agree the PSU fan is very loud, but I have the case fans up where it doesn't much matter cause it's drowned out. I've been loving the case so far, and the cards have been super stable, other than running a little hot on kawpow. Thanks!

great to see a new content creator in the space. I actually liked the quality of this video, it reminded me of some old build vids from DJ and Hobbyist. Just a question, but what made you go with 5700 xt’s? They are great for building quick bags (which seems like your goal here), but the wattage can be a burden at times.
I appreciate the kind words! I wanted Radeon cards for the better performance on kawpow algorithms, since they've shown to be asic proof and stuck with GPU miners. I have free power but it wouldn't really make sense to fit 2 cases on 1 circuit cause of the 80% rule on my residential electricity. I also got them for only $150/card in essentially brand new condition so that was a good deal
@@CrazymonkeyCrypto 150$ a piece, great find. With free power, you have a ton of options for sure. KawPow seems to be the most promising algorithm gpu wise (due to asic resistance). Good luck to you.
Could you show the setup where you install the rig software and set it up to a mining pool or if youre solo a tuorial?
Absolutely! I tried for my first rig but it was my first time in hiveos so I was learning at the same time. I have some cards coming for another rig that I will explain how to set it up!
What are the temps on those? I have almost all kind of the 5700xt and the powercolor has the worst temps that I cant get under the control
The Temps are all over the place. I have cards right next to each other that have memory Temps 90 C and 70 C. That's with 100% card fan and about 65% case fans, which are about 3000 CPM I believe. And it's sitting next to a partially open window with a temp of 30 F outside. Thinking about repasting the cards
@@CrazymonkeyCrypto Bro I tried now paste and pads and it didnt change anything at all. Thats why I am using the 5700xt pulse in that same case you have. I think dj mines has a video on it he also tried everything from cooper plates to liquid metal. If you figure it out please let me know I still got 2 left.
Hmm, interesting. It is running KawPow right now, so it's definitely an algo that tends to run on the hotter side. I'll let you know if i figure anything out!
