To help people understand the security difference between auto charge and plug n charge, compare it to swiping the mag strip on your credit card vs. using the chip (electrical contact or NFC). With the right equipment, it's not hard to steal and duplicate mag strips or Mac addresses.

We plan on getting rid of our 2021 ID.4 and leasing a Model Y. VW software and charging is just lacking. Hate to support Musk, but Tesla is still at the top of the EV market(we still own a 2019 dual motor Model 3 and plan of keeping it for a long time).

In the last three months resale values of EV’s have dropped 50% in value. Nobody is trading anything in unless you’re eating tens of thousands of dollars in negative equity. Think I’m full of shit? Tomorrow go try and trade your EV in. You will think dealer is joking on what will give you on a trade. We are stuck with these turds until the government buys them back from us. Thanks Joe!!

Happened to check used car prices and you can pickup a 2021 ID.4 Pro RWD for $23K with 15K miles. Amazing deal for those of us who weren't early adopters, can charge at home, and have another car for road trips.

There is a bug. Plug & Charge works ok, but I no longer receive session start / stop / summary email & texts, unless I use app to start. App session info is ok. US is soooo lagging behind. In Europe Tesla are even using non Tesla chargers because they are cheaper sometimes and also faster usually (Ionity up to 350kW no sharing).
I went on a trip of around 375miles in Germany in a Taycan and in not a single second I was thinking about Tesla SC. We just have so many options now, it's not even really an argument anymore.

So far their plan is implemented to be tied to the free charging plan. If you’re like me and you bought a used 2023 IN 2023, and you aren’t eligible for the 3 years of free charging, then you don’t get plug and charge. At least not yet. You’re going to see new repo companies open just to repo these shits. People will realize their worth nothing and just stopping paying the payment every ment and take the repo hit on credit. And KYLE has been asked his opinion on this by many people and he’s not even once replied. He knows. But if he openly admits. He’s out of a RUclips job so he stays silent. I suggest he open a repo company specializing in repo’ing EV’s. This will be the hottest new business very very soon.

Regarding non-Teslas using Superchargers… sounds great, but in some places, like Silicon Valley, certain superchargers are already full with Teslas during peak use times. Soon, Tesla owners will go through pain because some folks made the wrong EV purchase decision and the other fast charging companies were half -A in their implementation and support? Stop gushing over how great things will be with non-Teslas using Superchargers!

Tesla's last remaining advantage will be gone in a year or two.

They will always have the advantage of reliability. EA and EVgo are still subpar charging alternatives. I mean come on, one of the stations in this video was under maintenance, and the other had a non-working credit card reader. EA stations are rarely ever 100% operational, it's sad.

@@fiehlsportPartly due to moronic users. More than once, I've seen tabs broke off of a connector.

The main advantage is that Tesla can sell a Model Y RWD for $43,000 and a Model 3 RWD for $39,000, and still make a profit. Tesla's driving down costs relentlessly. Currently the cost to make a Tesla, on average, is $36,000 and that's down -$3000 in 2023. Expect to see continuing falling prices on Teslas that legacy autos can't keep up with, and when market demand needs to be stimulated, Tesla will have the ability to cut prices further and still make a profit. ...... VW can't even make a decent Navigation system. Who would pay $40,000 for that capability? And non-Teslas will not have access to V2 chargers, and there at least 10,000 of them. You could easily go anywhere in the US, from end-to-end, and use only V2 chargers. Not as fast as V3 but still fast, and I want access to V2s too.

Don't get your hopes up - now that EVs are going to a standard plug and protocol, I think you'll see a great improvement in reliability in the next few years - especially if automakers adopt plug and charge like this it's game over for Tesla@@fiehlsport
