What temperature does it preheat to, is it about 25C?

A Question: is the battery pack in Id7 the same as Id4 ? As in same chemistry and size?
Has VW limited the Id4 to give some separation to the higher spec Id7...
For a NMC pack in 2024 charging speed is a bit average!
I'd happily own a id4 and it's charging wouldn't be a limitation with the chargers where I live, not many over 150kw here.
    Thanks for the vid😊

GTX and 4motion charging curve has been improved in 4.0 and actually charge faster to 60% than RWD.

Hi, just got our 2025 ID.4 last Friday and as we haven't got the home charger yet so we needed to charge at Tesla this Saturday. We came in with 30% SoC and it quickly went to 150 kW @ 35% and stayed there for some time and the total time for the 39 kWh we got was under 20 min.
Is the charge curve better for the 2025 ID.4 ?

New 2024 ID.4 pro (if it has 82kwh battery) should reach 500 volts... Seen manly reach into high 180s and even low 190s.... Used to have Ioniq 5 AWD with 77 kWh battery, and that chargest afaster, but think now that that car's lease ended, I am really considering ID.4 Pro S. AWD or RWD? Likely AWD but haven't decided. Miss having option to get the black or blue with whhite roof...

The new ID.4 and old ID.5 might have same curve under optimal circumstances, but getting those optimal circumstances is difficult, so pre-heating is probably gonna make huge difference there

It's a Tritium charger what else is new and if they go totally bust only be a matter of time before any spares Ionity has runs out and chargers stop getting repaired until they do a full rip & replace project switching the hardware to another manufacturer perhaps Kempower or Alpitronics or ..?? Just not ABB as Bjorn calls them Always Be Broken. Looks like 70% is where you unplug and move on based on that charging curve.

I have a U. S. built pro s awd with sk on cells that peaks at 192 kw. I charged 10-90% a couple weeks ago no battery preheating in 48 degree temperatures. It took 35 minutes. I’m guessing the 4-90 would not have been vastly different. I find all of the different batteries and charging curves very interesting.

In the rear PSM new APP550 with up to 210 kW, in front the same ASM as earlier, made by Magna. In total provides max 210 kW (limited by Sw config), which is same a RWD model, but AWD has more torque.
      ID.4 Pro (RWD) 210 kW, 545 Nm
      ID.4 Pro 4motion (AWD) 210 kW, 679 Nm
      ID.4 GTX (AWD) 250 kW, 679 Nm
ID4 RWD has more torque than a Tesla Y LR dual motors.

You need to do 3-5 charging attempts to filter out any issues that a particular station might have. Peaking out at 130-140kW makes no sense.
