The brazen sneakiness of these policies highlight that safeguarding of women is the police service’s ABSOLUTE LAST priority.

This is absolutely terrifying and has no justification. Thank goodness for WRN and Cathy Larkman

Remember the underaged teens who have been intimately searched without their parents there. One was on her period and given her soiled product to use again.

What about the women prison officers & the women police officers who are required to search men who self-id as women? Who is speaking out for them? This abuse of the female staff happens all the time.

I wish public servants would realise what they are paid for. The clue is in the name. They are supposed to serve the public, not centre their delusions and make the public comply with them. Trans identifying male officers can undertake plenty of duties in the Police, but strip searching women ought not be one of them. I read that Chris Philps - the Police Minister - has argued that only male officers with a GRC should be able to strip search women, but I don't see why an exemption under the Equality Act could not be applied to prevent even this from occurring. It's shocking that the Police are prepared to break the law (the PACE) to molly-coddle to the wishes of a minority of male officers. I feel sorry for WPCs, too, who may be required to strip search trans identifying men and who may face disciplinary action if they refuse.

well, exactly, the number of police officers who have been convicted of sexual assault is alarming. Green lighting their ability to do this to female suspects 'legitimately' is obscene.

The police need to follow the law. I know they struggle with this but they must try harder 😬

Should police officers intimately search anyone... surely a medical staff should do so?
