മാസ്സ് ഡയലോഗ് ഇല്ലാ action ഇല്ലാ ഒരു ഒറ്റ മുറിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന കഥ ബോറടി ഇല്ലാതെ മുഴുവൻ ഒറ്റ ഇരുപ്പിൽ തന്നെ കണ്ടു തീർത്തു. ഫസ്റ്റ് ഞാനും പകുതി ഇന്ന് കണ്ടു ബാക്കി പിന്നെ കാണാം എന്ന് വെച്ച് start ചെയ്തതും ആണ് പിന്നെ മുഴുവനും കണ്ടു തീർത്ത്.
അഗത ക്രിസ്റ്റിയുടെ ഒരു നോവൽ വായിച്ചപോലെ തോന്നി.. കഥ പറയുന്ന രീതി വ്യത്യസ്തമായതു കൊണ്ടും അവസാനം വരെ സസ്പെൻസ് നിലനിർത്തിയത് കൊണ്ടും ഒട്ടും ബോറടിക്കാതെ thrill അടിച്ചു തന്നെ കണ്ടു. ആകെ ഒരു disappointment തോന്നിയത് ക്ലൈമാക്സ്‌ കണ്ടപ്പോഴാണ്. അതുവരെ സത്യം മറയ്ക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി ഓരോരുത്തരും പറഞ്ഞ കള്ളങ്ങളുടെ അത്ര impact പോലും ക്ലൈമാക്സിൽ കൊലയാളിയെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായില്ല... ബാക്കി എല്ലാം കൊണ്ടും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.
പടം കൊള്ളാം. പടം 2:45 മണിക്കൂർ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും lag feel ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല, പിന്നെ climax ഒഴിച്ചു bakki എല്ലാം പൊളിയായിരുന്നു. Jeethu joseph ഇതിനെക്കാളും വലിയ climax തരുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു ☺️
പടത്തിൽ flashback നെയും കോൺഫറൻസ് റൂമിൽ നടക്കുന്ന present നെയും വേർതിരിക്കുന്ന visual transitions ഒരു വെറൈറ്റി ആയിരുന്നു. മറ്റ് vfx കളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് നന്നായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. (SPOILER) ഞാൻ തുടക്കംമുതൽ അനു സിതാരയെ ആണു സംശയിച്ചത് 🤣 കാരണം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട അനുശ്രീയോട് ഏറ്റവും അടുപ്പമുള്ളത് ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിനാണെങ്കിലും മരണംനടന്നശേഷം അനു സിത്താര ഒട്ടും ഇമോഷണൽ ആവാത്തതുപോലെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു... എന്നാൽ എന്റെ സംശയം വെറും സംശയമായി 😌😌 മോഹൻലാലിനെ ഇനിയങ്ങോട്ട് ഏറ്റവും നന്നായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻകഴിയുന്ന സംവിധായകർ Jeethu Joseph, Prithviraj എന്നിവർ തന്നെ 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am not literally impressed with the overall film but I was literally hooked to the film with what will happen next...Even I didn't touched my forward button as each and every dialogue exchange between the characters are engaged me to eagerly waiting to unravel what happened to shiny ?? The transition sequence in the film needs to be appreciated 👏👏I liked the spooky mysterious atmosphere of the film and camera work here is good. Among the actors Mohanlal,Shivadha, Leona leshoy , Rahul Madhav and Anusree was standout ones...Unni mukundhan and priyanka was overacting and miscast especially from the very first scene when they are knowing they are going to be parents.

എനിക്ക് actually ഡയലോഗ്സിലൊക്കെ ഒരു artificiality feel ചെയ്തു, mostly ചില charactersinte. മോഹൻലാലിൻറെ ഇൻട്രോയും ചില ഡയലോഗ്സിലും (ദേഷ്യപെടുന്നതൊക്കെ) ഇത് feel ചെയ്തു. Making കൊള്ളാരുന്നു. Transitions oke മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ പുതുമയുള്ള ഒന്നായിരുന്നു. പെർഫോമൻസിൽ ഇഷ്ടപെട്ടത് shivada,leona,chandrunath തന്നെ.

Personally didn't like the movie.... First of all no one is gonna tell anyone that they get someone pregnant even if they did it themselves.... Second anu sitara could have confessed directly to siddus fiancee instead of anusree who always lend money from everyone and always in need of it..... Third, the reaction and response of all 10 friends after death/murder of their close family friend and travel mate wasn't convincing enough.... they were worried about police investigation and procedures only... not demise of their friend
Mohanlal's character was someone who had been a drunken nuisance to the group till the murder. Which means that he is an important suspect. Just because he is a cop, he is put in charge of the investigation? That was so dumb
The character of the victim was more interesting than the investigation. I was unable to understand the timeline completely. When was the first rain and then the second. When was Fida by the pool side. When was Matthew by it. Fida gets a message at the party table early on. Who was it? Investigation was based on characters' behavior rather than what's on the crime scene and during the crime like in Drishyam. There was nothing to suspect for the viewers. No Chekov's gun. Overall a disappointment.
Shiny യേ കൊല്ലാൻ ഉള്ള motivation എല്ലാ characters നും കൊടുത്തു. So as an audience നമ്മൾക്ക് ഗസ്സ് ചെയ്യാൻ പാടായി. അത് ഒരു cheating ആയി തോന്നി. അവസാനം കഥാകൃത്ത് pick ചെയ്ത killer ആരായിരുന്നാലും നമുക്ക് ഒരു wow factor തരാൻ അതിൽ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.

This comment contains SPOILERS for 12th Man. Jeethu Joseph's 12th Man is good whodunit film. When it comes to a thriller from Jeethu Joseph, it takes multiple viewings to understand many aspects of the film. For example, I have seen my personal favorite film Drishyam 2 several times and I love it deeply due to its strong depth. Back to 12th Man. Some scenes (For example, English song) in the first half of 12th Man could have been cut. Aside from that, it is a good film. 12th Man follows in the pattern of Hollywood film The Ninth Guest (1934) which became the blueprint for many mystery films in the future. 12th Man is a study on the characters through exploring their point of views. If you look carefully into the 12th Man, then you will see that there are several influences from Jeethu Joseph's previous films especially Detective and Drishyam films. Although the victim has bipolar, still the victim thrives upon taking advantages of either weaknesses or errors of others. This eventually led to the accidental demise of the victim itself. This is where you somewhat feel sorry for the culprit since the victim strongly provoked the situation which led to the culprit "accidentally" pushing the victim to death. The victim also tried to take advantage of Annie for her errors and this frightened Annie. Although Annie was angry with the victim, still Annie doesn't attack the victim since she does see the victim as a friend in her heart. Instead of acting as a friend, what the victim did was to try to enlarge the wrongdoings of others by deceptively taking advantage of them. Jeethu also put the character of Annie opposite to where Dr. Nayana (Sshivada) sits. Annie is nervous and is struggling to keep her real emotions inside. Annie does have the heart to love and care although she has done errors in her life. There is a sense of artificiality with the character of Annie since she is struggling to hide her real feelings and Priyanka did a great job with that. Unlike Annie, Dr. Nayana (Sshivada) is bold and honest and there is no ifs and buts with the character and she is the most cooperative towards DYSP Chandrashekhar. She is a strong woman and she is also kind and understanding as a doctor especially when Annie gets emotional. But she has limitation as a doctor since the doctors are supposed to keep personal information personal. She only reveals the information after the death of the victim since she feels that the information might help Chandrashekhar find the real culprit. Out of all performances, I thought Sshivada and Priyanka Nair were the strongest since they were able to wonderfully capture the essence of the characters they played. Others were fine as well.
Overall a well made engaging thriller with an above avg 1st half and exciting 2nd half 1st half is above avg cuz of mohanlals drunken characterization which was artificial and some mysogynistic dialogues . But 2nd was too good cuz of bgm and some unexpected twists also that VFX usage especially form narration to real was also commandable. But the main twist at last was not that surprising bcuz some of the twists before it was surprising ones. My rating 3.25 out of 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lengthy ആണെങ്കിലും സെക്കന്റ് half നന്നായി പിടിച്ചിരുത്തി. 3 . മോഹൻലാൽ 4 . ചന്തുനാഥ് എന്ന നടന്റെ അഭിനയം താരതമ്യേന നല്ലതായി തോന്നി. 5 . കേസ് അന്വേഷണം നടക്കുന്ന റൂം. ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടാത്തത് 1 . നാടകീയത കലർന്ന ഫസ്റ്റ് ഹാഫ് 2 . Twists കൊണ്ട് വന്നത് രണ്ടും അവിഹിതം മാത്രം ആണ്.. ഞെട്ടാൻ വേറെ ഒരു രീതി ഇല്ലാത്ത പോലെ. പ്രിയങ്ക(ആനി ) യുടെ അവിഹിതം ഒഴിവാക്കി വേറെ എന്തെങ്കിലും ആക്കാമായിരുന്നു. 3 . ഫസ്റ്റ് ഹാഫ് ഇലെ മോഹൻലാലിൻറെ വെള്ളമടിച്ചു അലമ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന കൊറേ scenes അനാവശ്യം ആയി തോന്നി.

I predicted the villain half way through the movie. കാരണം യഥാർത്ഥ വില്ലന് നേരെ ഒരു വിരലുകളും അവസാന നിമിഷം വരെ ചൂണ്ടുന്നില്ല എന്നത് തന്നെ. പെട്ടെന്ന് ഉത്തരം കിട്ടിയത് പോലെ "നീയല്ലേ അത്" എന്ന് ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ പെട്ടെന്ന് തന്നെ കുറ്റസമ്മതം നടത്തുന്ന പാവം വില്ലൻ. പിന്നെ ഒരു load അവിഹിതം. മലയാളത്തിൽ ഒരു പുതിയ പരീക്ഷണം ആണ് 12th Man. ഇതിനെ BigBoss ആയിട്ടൊന്നും താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതില്ല. മോഹൻലാൽ ആദ്യഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ കുറച്ച് ഓവർ ആക്കിയെങ്കിലും പിന്നീട് ഇൻവെസ്റ്റിഗേഷൻ പാർട്ടിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ നന്നായി തന്നെ പെർഫോം ചെയ്തു. ഇനി മലയാളത്തിൽ മികച്ച ത്രില്ലറുകൾ വരട്ടെ
Mohanlal and Jeethu is a great combination, it had me engaged throughout and I felt Anusree, Leona, Sshivda and Saiju did well, the others didn't seem to have as much as impact.. Mohanlal was great as usual- reminded me a little of Daniel Craig in Knives Out , although i don't understand (spoilers ahead) how a gang of 7 that had mostly men and just women but somehow some of the men seemed to cheat on the other partners (especially it was confusing in trying to figure out how those connections were made- except for Aarathy's character who was new to the group and who was part of the college gang..)
Engaged ayi watch Cheyan pattiya movie. Cinematography feels nice. Mohanlal drunken acting was not that effective because he used same pattern in many movie rest of his acting was good although not much to contribute

I have a completely opposite opinion about mohanlals acting than yours. In the first part he was completely out of place playing the drunk stranger, but he was on dot being the investigator.

Climax was stupid. I didn't like the film. I expected something out of the box, like the classic film - 12 angry men. The climax didn't do justice to the buildup of the storyline.

If there is not an open communication space in relations..ഇതിനെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരുപാട് മറ്റ് ഘടകങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും...സിനിമ യുടെ main content ആയ investigation വളരെ different approach ആയി തോന്നി.. ലാലേട്ടൻ പൊളിച്ചു... All acted well..
ഒന്നര മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ തീർക്കേണ്ട സിനിമ രണ്ടെമുക്കാൽ മണിക്കൂർ വലിച്ചു നീട്ടികൊണ്ടുപോയി.. ഒട്ടും ലോജിക് ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ത്രെഡ് ആണ്.. അനുശ്രീ യുടെ ഓവർ ആക്ടിങ് കല്ലുകടി ആയി തോന്നി. ലിയോണയും(Fida) ശിവദയും (Dr. Nayana) Anu Mohan (Siddarth)നന്നായി തോന്നി.സൈജു കുറുപ്പിന്റെ കുറച്ചൂടെ വിനിയോഗിക്കാമായിരുന്നു. ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്റെ വെള്ളമടിച്ചുള്ള സീൻ വെറുപ്പിക്കൽ ആയി തോന്നി..
My thoughts: 1. When/how we can approach and review a movie without any “pratheeksha” or prejudices ? 2. When/how we can review a movie without comparing to another ? I believe most of the movies would be watchable and interesting if we remove the aforesaid factors from our mind.
For the first one I think the movie should be released without any notifications. That's kind of a joke but I think the only way. Otherwise the movie should be from a fresh team like 'Thinkalazcha Nishchayam'. For the second question movies of Rajeev Ravi made that possible. Because the story, screenplay, cinematography all of that was out of any cliches and brought a new pattern. Repetition makes comparisions and comparisions can't be avoided. For the last observation I would like to say each viewer has builded certain standards about movies from the watched ones and only the first time watchers can only be like that. After watching different(versatile) movies(country,language,genre,) the viewers mindset will grow and will definitely identify best ones and worst ones. Criticism is a necessity otherwise there will be no room for improvement.
കണ്ടിരിക്കാൻ രസമിണ്ടായിരുന്നു. Thrill ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. Climax അത്ര ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടില്ല. അവരുടെ ആ ഫോൺ game.. അതിൽ എല്ലാവരുടെയും മുഖത്തുണ്ടാകുന്ന expression നന്നായിരുന്നു. Background song ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു... ഒരു mystery ആ song ൽ feel ചെയ്തു.
ചില പടങ്ങളിൽ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളുടെ introduction നു ആദ്യത്തെ കുറെ സമയം കളയുന്നത് കാണാം. ചിലത് നല്ല ബോറായിരിക്കും. ചിലത് രസം ആയി അങ്ങു പോകും. തമാശകളോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സീരിയസ് ആയ സംഭവമോ ആകും. പക്ഷെ ഇത് 10-15 minutes ആയിട്ടും ഒന്നും നടക്കാത്തത്കൊണ്ട് നിർത്തി. Netflix ലാളിച്ചു വഷളാക്കിയെന്റെ ആകണം. ഇന്ന് ഒന്നൂടെ കണ്ട് നോക്കണം. 😀
Was definitely good watch...but there were certain points I couldn't understand.. 1. Dr Nayana raised the doubt that the girl would be from same group..otherwise Jithesh..her husband would have asked her opinion on getting abortion medicines...so does that mean he had affair with Merin while being married to Nayana??.. But Merin was telling Jithesh that those things had happened long time ago..so this could be before Jithesh nd Nayanas marriage..so how can Nayana raise such doubt about it? 2. There is a scene where when Mathew was waiting with alcohol for the rain to get over..nd then Fida panickly calls for out for him...even she throws that bottle down the cliff. as if something emergency happened???.. What was that for..what was purpose of this scene?
First question: including nayana everyone believed that it was siddharth who had an affair with a girl from their group. Nayana says jithesh would have asked for her opinion on getting abortion pills" for helping siddharth" instead of seeking help of the medical rep. After this scene siddharth again called medical rep on mohanlal's order and he took the call, then only everyone came to know that it was jithesh who actually had an affair for whom siddharth consulted the medical rep. Sec qn: i think fidaa would have found the body so she screamed.

After the rain he went to the hut to meet his friends zachariah and sam and couldn't find them and he waited. Then fidaa came running and screaming and she threw the bottle away. It is shown in the initial scenes that after waiting for mathew for a long time first zachariah went back.. At the scene of final reveal of the real culprit only sam was there in the hut waiting for mathew to come and at that time he got a message about the settlement of his fund dealings and is happy. Then he got another notification message of the fund transfer done by merin. He left the hut and went to ask her about this and saw annie coming out of shiny's room followed by shiny. Then sam went to shiny to ask her about the money and the murder happened. Mathew was waiting for sam and zachariah all this time in the hut. That means he was in the hut when the murder happened.Then he heard fidaa screaming. I think the resort guy found the body first and went to inform the manager. At the time he left fidaa also would have came there, seen the body and screamed.but still how come the bottle appeared near the body? That i can't understand.🤷♀️
The bottle wasn't shown in the first scene I guess In the next scene,officers found out the bottle near to the dead body. It was clearly after everybody came to know about the death.

മാസ്സ് ഡയലോഗ് ഇല്ലാ action ഇല്ലാ ഒരു ഒറ്റ മുറിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന കഥ ബോറടി ഇല്ലാതെ മുഴുവൻ ഒറ്റ ഇരുപ്പിൽ തന്നെ കണ്ടു തീർത്തു. ഫസ്റ്റ് ഞാനും പകുതി ഇന്ന് കണ്ടു ബാക്കി പിന്നെ കാണാം എന്ന് വെച്ച് start ചെയ്തതും ആണ് പിന്നെ മുഴുവനും കണ്ടു തീർത്ത്.

കഥ പറയുന്ന രീതി വ്യത്യസ്തമായതു കൊണ്ടും അവസാനം വരെ സസ്പെൻസ് നിലനിർത്തിയത് കൊണ്ടും ഒട്ടും ബോറടിക്കാതെ thrill അടിച്ചു തന്നെ കണ്ടു.
ആകെ ഒരു disappointment തോന്നിയത് ക്ലൈമാക്സ്‌ കണ്ടപ്പോഴാണ്. അതുവരെ സത്യം മറയ്ക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി ഓരോരുത്തരും പറഞ്ഞ കള്ളങ്ങളുടെ അത്ര impact പോലും ക്ലൈമാക്സിൽ കൊലയാളിയെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായില്ല...

(SPOILER) ഞാൻ തുടക്കംമുതൽ അനു സിതാരയെ ആണു സംശയിച്ചത് 🤣 കാരണം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട അനുശ്രീയോട് ഏറ്റവും അടുപ്പമുള്ളത് ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിനാണെങ്കിലും മരണംനടന്നശേഷം അനു സിത്താര ഒട്ടും ഇമോഷണൽ ആവാത്തതുപോലെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു... എന്നാൽ എന്റെ സംശയം വെറും സംശയമായി 😌😌

I am not literally impressed with the overall film but I was literally hooked to the film with what will happen next...Even I didn't touched my forward button as each and every dialogue exchange between the characters are engaged me to eagerly waiting to unravel what happened to shiny ?? The transition sequence in the film needs to be appreciated 👏👏I liked the spooky mysterious atmosphere of the film and camera work here is good.
Among the actors Mohanlal,Shivadha, Leona leshoy , Rahul Madhav and Anusree was standout ones...Unni mukundhan and priyanka was overacting and miscast especially from the very first scene when they are knowing they are going to be parents.

Personally didn't like the movie....
First of all no one is gonna tell anyone that they get someone pregnant even if they did it themselves....
Second anu sitara could have confessed directly to siddus fiancee instead of anusree who always lend money from everyone and always in need of it.....
Third, the reaction and response of all 10 friends after death/murder of their close family friend and travel mate wasn't convincing enough.... they were worried about police investigation and procedures only... not demise of their friend
I also felt the same. ഫ്രണ്ട്ഷിപ്പിന് depth ഇല്ലാത്തത് പോലെ തോന്നി.
Mohanlal's character was someone who had been a drunken nuisance to the group till the murder. Which means that he is an important suspect. Just because he is a cop, he is put in charge of the investigation? That was so dumb
The character of the victim was more interesting than the investigation.
I was unable to understand the timeline completely. When was the first rain and then the second. When was Fida by the pool side. When was Matthew by it. Fida gets a message at the party table early on. Who was it? Investigation was based on characters' behavior rather than what's on the crime scene and during the crime like in Drishyam.
There was nothing to suspect for the viewers. No Chekov's gun.
Overall a disappointment.
Shiny യേ കൊല്ലാൻ ഉള്ള motivation എല്ലാ characters നും കൊടുത്തു. So as an audience നമ്മൾക്ക് ഗസ്സ് ചെയ്യാൻ പാടായി. അത് ഒരു cheating ആയി തോന്നി. അവസാനം കഥാകൃത്ത് pick ചെയ്ത killer ആരായിരുന്നാലും നമുക്ക് ഒരു wow factor തരാൻ അതിൽ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.

Transition effects കാണാൻ നല്ല രസമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. നല്ല ത്രില്ലിംഗ് ആയ കഥ പറച്ചിൽ രീതി ആയിരുന്നു.ഓരോ characters ഇനെയും main incident ഇലേക്ക് ലിങ്ക് ചെയ്ത രീതി എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. പക്ഷെ ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും കള്ളത്തരം പൊളിയുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായ ഞെട്ടലിന്റെ പകുതി പോലും കൊലപാതകിയെ reveal ചെയ്തപ്പോ ഉണ്ടായില്ല. ചേട്ടൻ പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ പ്രേക്ഷകർ ഊഹിക്കുന്ന ആരും ആകരുത് എന്ന് നിർബന്ധം ഉള്ളത്കൊണ്ട് അവസാനം ഒരു തട്ടിക്കൂട്ട് വില്ലനെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നപോലെ തോന്നി.ആ murder നടക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യവും തീരെ convincing ആയി തോന്നിയില്ല.Cinematography, ലൊക്കേഷൻസ് ഒക്കെ അടിപൊളി ആയിരുന്നു.പിന്നെ അവിഹിതത്തിന്റെ ഡോസ് കുറച്ചു കൂടുതൽ ആണെന്ന് തോന്നി.തുടരെ തുടരെ അത് തന്നെ കാണിക്കുന്നത് അരോചകം ആയിരുന്നു.അഭിനയത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത് ശിവദ, അനുശ്രീ,ലിയോണ സൈജു കുറുപ് പിന്നെ ജിതേഷ് ആയി അഭിനയിച്ച ആൾ 👍👍👍. മൊത്തത്തിൽ നല്ല ത്രില്ലിംഗ് experience തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു.

This comment contains SPOILERS for 12th Man.
Jeethu Joseph's 12th Man is good whodunit film. When it comes to a thriller from Jeethu Joseph, it takes multiple viewings to understand many aspects of the film. For example, I have seen my personal favorite film Drishyam 2 several times and I love it deeply due to its strong depth.
Back to 12th Man. Some scenes (For example, English song) in the first half of 12th Man could have been cut. Aside from that, it is a good film. 12th Man follows in the pattern of Hollywood film The Ninth Guest (1934) which became the blueprint for many mystery films in the future. 12th Man is a study on the characters through exploring their point of views.
If you look carefully into the 12th Man, then you will see that there are several influences from Jeethu Joseph's previous films especially Detective and Drishyam films. Although the victim has bipolar, still the victim thrives upon taking advantages of either weaknesses or errors of others.
This eventually led to the accidental demise of the victim itself. This is where you somewhat feel sorry for the culprit since the victim strongly provoked the situation which led to the culprit "accidentally" pushing the victim to death.
The victim also tried to take advantage of Annie for her errors and this frightened Annie. Although Annie was angry with the victim, still Annie doesn't attack the victim since she does see the victim as a friend in her heart.
Instead of acting as a friend, what the victim did was to try to enlarge the wrongdoings of others by deceptively taking advantage of them.
Jeethu also put the character of Annie opposite to where Dr. Nayana (Sshivada) sits. Annie is nervous and is struggling to keep her real emotions inside. Annie does have the heart to love and care although she has done errors in her life. There is a sense of artificiality with the character of Annie since she is struggling to hide her real feelings and Priyanka did a great job with that.
Unlike Annie, Dr. Nayana (Sshivada) is bold and honest and there is no ifs and buts with the character and she is the most cooperative towards DYSP Chandrashekhar. She is a strong woman and she is also kind and understanding as a doctor especially when Annie gets emotional.
But she has limitation as a doctor since the doctors are supposed to keep personal information personal. She only reveals the information after the death of the victim since she feels that the information might help Chandrashekhar find the real culprit.
Out of all performances, I thought Sshivada and Priyanka Nair were the strongest since they were able to wonderfully capture the essence of the characters they played. Others were fine as well.
Overall a well made engaging thriller with an above avg 1st half and exciting 2nd half
1st half is above avg cuz of mohanlals drunken characterization which was artificial and some mysogynistic dialogues . But 2nd was too good cuz of bgm and some unexpected twists also that VFX usage especially form narration to real was also commandable. But the main twist at last was not that surprising bcuz some of the twists before it was surprising ones.

ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇഷ്ടായി.. ഒറ്റയടിക്ക് കണ്ട് തീർത്തു. പൊതുവെ ത്രില്ലെർ സിനിമകൾ ഇഷ്ടപെടുന്ന എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമായ കാര്യങ്ങളും അല്ലാത്തതും..
ഇഷ്ടം ആയതു.
1 . കേസ് അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന രീതി.. എല്ലാവരുടെയും ഫോൺ വെച്ച് കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു അന്വേഷണ രീതി കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല ( similar ആയിട്ടുള്ള വിദേശ സിനിമകൾ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.)
2 . Lengthy ആണെങ്കിലും സെക്കന്റ് half നന്നായി പിടിച്ചിരുത്തി.
3 . മോഹൻലാൽ
4 . ചന്തുനാഥ് എന്ന നടന്റെ അഭിനയം താരതമ്യേന നല്ലതായി തോന്നി.
5 . കേസ് അന്വേഷണം നടക്കുന്ന റൂം.

1 . നാടകീയത കലർന്ന ഫസ്റ്റ് ഹാഫ്
2 . Twists കൊണ്ട് വന്നത് രണ്ടും അവിഹിതം മാത്രം ആണ്.. ഞെട്ടാൻ വേറെ ഒരു രീതി ഇല്ലാത്ത പോലെ. പ്രിയങ്ക(ആനി ) യുടെ അവിഹിതം ഒഴിവാക്കി വേറെ എന്തെങ്കിലും ആക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
3 . ഫസ്റ്റ് ഹാഫ് ഇലെ മോഹൻലാലിൻറെ വെള്ളമടിച്ചു അലമ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന കൊറേ scenes അനാവശ്യം ആയി തോന്നി.

The director seems to be inspired by the 1957 movie 12 Angry men. Even the movie name has a resemblance. 12 Angry men is a great movie; the entire movie is a crime investigation through discussion, shot in one court room.
I have watched it. I thought it would be boring but was really engaging.

I predicted the villain half way through the movie. കാരണം യഥാർത്ഥ വില്ലന് നേരെ ഒരു വിരലുകളും അവസാന നിമിഷം വരെ ചൂണ്ടുന്നില്ല എന്നത് തന്നെ. പെട്ടെന്ന് ഉത്തരം കിട്ടിയത് പോലെ "നീയല്ലേ അത്" എന്ന് ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ പെട്ടെന്ന് തന്നെ കുറ്റസമ്മതം നടത്തുന്ന പാവം വില്ലൻ. പിന്നെ ഒരു load അവിഹിതം. കണ്ടപ്പോൾ തോന്നിയ ഒരു കാര്യം. ഫിലിമിൽ ഒരു turning ആയി കാണിക്കുന്ന അക്കൗണ്ട് transfer details എല്ലാം തുടക്കത്തിൽ ഫോൺ ചെക്ക് ചെയുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ ലാലേട്ടന് കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാമായിരുന്നു. വാട്സാപ്പ് msgs, calls ഇതെല്ലാം ആ ഒരു ടൈം ഗ്യാപ്പിലെ ചെക്ക് ചെയുമ്പോൾ text msgsil ഫോക്കസ് കൊടുത്തില്ല. എങ്കിൽ കുറച്ചു കൂടെ വേഗത്തിൽ ഫിലിം മൂവ് ആയേനെ. Anyways watchable മൂവി. Sivada, leona, saiju kuripp ഒരു പടി മുന്നിൽ നിന്നു

മലയാളത്തിൽ ഒരു പുതിയ പരീക്ഷണം ആണ് 12th Man. ഇതിനെ BigBoss ആയിട്ടൊന്നും താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതില്ല. മോഹൻലാൽ ആദ്യഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ കുറച്ച് ഓവർ ആക്കിയെങ്കിലും പിന്നീട് ഇൻവെസ്റ്റിഗേഷൻ പാർട്ടിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ നന്നായി തന്നെ പെർഫോം ചെയ്തു. ഇനി മലയാളത്തിൽ മികച്ച ത്രില്ലറുകൾ വരട്ടെ

Mohanlal and Jeethu is a great combination, it had me engaged throughout and I felt Anusree, Leona, Sshivda and Saiju did well, the others didn't seem to have as much as impact.. Mohanlal was great as usual- reminded me a little of Daniel Craig in Knives Out , although i don't understand (spoilers ahead) how a gang of 7 that had mostly men and just women but somehow some of the men seemed to cheat on the other partners (especially it was confusing in trying to figure out how those connections were made- except for Aarathy's character who was new to the group and who was part of the college gang..)
Engaged ayi watch Cheyan pattiya movie. Cinematography feels nice. Mohanlal drunken acting was not that effective because he used same pattern in many movie rest of his acting was good although not much to contribute

I have a completely opposite opinion about mohanlals acting than yours. In the first part he was completely out of place playing the drunk stranger, but he was on dot being the investigator.
He has set standards with vazhiyora kaazchakal, dasratham, spirit, no.20 madras mail and so on.. Considering his age, has done it decently 😊

ഒരു കാര്യം മാത്രേ എനിക്ക് പറയാൻ ഉള്ളു.. ചേട്ടൻ പറഞ്ഞില്ലേ ക്ലൈമാക്സിലേ കൊലയാളിയെ ആദ്യമേ വേണേൽ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാം ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ എന്നു തോന്നിയെന്നു... പക്ഷെ ലാസ്റ്റിൽ ലാലേട്ടൻ പറയുന്നണ്ടു കുറച്ചു മുമ്പേ നിനെ പിടിക്കാം ആയുരുന്നു ഇടയ്ക്ക് വെച്ച് അത് മാറി പോയി എന്ന് കൊണ്ടാണ് എന്നു...
മേക്കിങ്ങിലെ ആ transition ആണ് എനിക്കും കൂടുതൽ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത്. അത് നല്ല പെർഫെക്ട് ആയി ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
A gripping thriller movie. It had a bit of "Knives out" vibe in the color grading and transitions in the interrogation scene.
പോലീസ് കാരൻ രാത്രി റൂമിൽ വന്നു വിളിക്കുന്ന സീനിൽ, ആദ്യം ഫിറ്റ്‌ ആയിട്ടും പിന്നെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ അറിയുമ്പോൾ ഫിറ്റ്‌ കുറഞ്ഞു കുറഞ്ഞു വരുന്നതായിട്ടും ഉള്ള ലാലിന്റ ആക്ടിങ് വളരെ മികച്ചു നിന്നതായി തോന്നി. സ്‌പെഷ്യലി ആ ആംബുലൻസിന്റ അടുത്ത് വന്നുള്ള നിൽപ്പ്.
Climax was stupid.
I didn't like the film. I expected something out of the box, like the classic film - 12 angry men. The climax didn't do justice to the buildup of the storyline.

അനുശ്രീ യുടെ ഓവർ ആക്ടിങ് കല്ലുകടി ആയി തോന്നി. ലിയോണയും(Fida) ശിവദയും (Dr. Nayana) Anu Mohan (Siddarth)നന്നായി തോന്നി.സൈജു കുറുപ്പിന്റെ കുറച്ചൂടെ വിനിയോഗിക്കാമായിരുന്നു. ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്റെ വെള്ളമടിച്ചുള്ള സീൻ വെറുപ്പിക്കൽ ആയി തോന്നി..

My thoughts:
1. When/how we can approach and review a movie without any “pratheeksha” or prejudices ?
2. When/how we can review a movie without comparing to another ?
I believe most of the movies would be watchable and interesting if we remove the aforesaid factors from our mind.
For the first one I think the movie should be released without any notifications. That's kind of a joke but I think the only way. Otherwise the movie should be from a fresh team like 'Thinkalazcha Nishchayam'.
For the second question movies of Rajeev Ravi made that possible. Because the story, screenplay, cinematography all of that was out of any cliches and brought a new pattern. Repetition makes comparisions and comparisions can't be avoided.
For the last observation I would like to say each viewer has builded certain standards about movies from the watched ones and only the first time watchers can only be like that. After watching different(versatile) movies(country,language,genre,) the viewers mindset will grow and will definitely identify best ones and worst ones.
Criticism is a necessity otherwise there will be no room for improvement.

കണ്ടിരിക്കാൻ രസമിണ്ടായിരുന്നു. Thrill ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. Climax അത്ര ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടില്ല. അവരുടെ ആ ഫോൺ game.. അതിൽ എല്ലാവരുടെയും മുഖത്തുണ്ടാകുന്ന expression നന്നായിരുന്നു. Background song ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു... ഒരു mystery ആ song ൽ feel ചെയ്തു.
ചില പടങ്ങളിൽ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളുടെ introduction നു ആദ്യത്തെ കുറെ സമയം കളയുന്നത് കാണാം. ചിലത് നല്ല ബോറായിരിക്കും. ചിലത് രസം ആയി അങ്ങു പോകും. തമാശകളോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സീരിയസ് ആയ സംഭവമോ ആകും. പക്ഷെ ഇത് 10-15 minutes ആയിട്ടും ഒന്നും നടക്കാത്തത്കൊണ്ട് നിർത്തി. Netflix ലാളിച്ചു വഷളാക്കിയെന്റെ ആകണം. ഇന്ന് ഒന്നൂടെ കണ്ട് നോക്കണം. 😀
Was definitely good watch...but there were certain points I couldn't understand..
1. Dr Nayana raised the doubt that the girl would be from same group..otherwise Jithesh..her husband would have asked her opinion on getting abortion
medicines...so does that mean he had affair with Merin while being married to Nayana??.. But Merin was telling Jithesh that those things had happened long time ago..so this could be before Jithesh nd Nayanas marriage..so how can Nayana raise such doubt about it?
2. There is a scene where when Mathew was waiting with alcohol for the rain to get over..nd then Fida panickly calls for out for him...even she throws that bottle down the cliff.
as if something emergency happened???.. What was that for..what was purpose of this scene?
First question: including nayana everyone believed that it was siddharth who had an affair with a girl from their group. Nayana says jithesh would have asked for her opinion on getting abortion pills" for helping siddharth" instead of seeking help of the medical rep. After this scene siddharth again called medical rep on mohanlal's order and he took the call, then only everyone came to know that it was jithesh who actually had an affair for whom siddharth consulted the medical rep.
Sec qn: i think fidaa would have found the body so she screamed.
Merin and jithesh had affair on their college days.. May be jithesh dated both nayana and merin at same tym.. Nayana was not their college mate
@@ANSR26 But I think it was some resort guy who first saw Shinys body...nd the alcohol bottle of Mathew was found near the body...which was thrown by Fida..so its unlikely that she would have called to show Shinys body

🤔. Mathew says that it started raining on his way bringing the liquor bottle and he sat under an umbrella. After the rain he went to the hut to meet his friends zachariah and sam and couldn't find them and he waited. Then fidaa came running and screaming and she threw the bottle away. It is shown in the initial scenes that after waiting for mathew for a long time first zachariah went back.. At the scene of final reveal of the real culprit only sam was there in the hut waiting for mathew to come and at that time he got a message about the settlement of his fund dealings and is happy. Then he got another notification message of the fund transfer done by merin. He left the hut and went to ask her about this and saw annie coming out of shiny's room followed by shiny. Then sam went to shiny to ask her about the money and the murder happened. Mathew was waiting for sam and zachariah all this time in the hut. That means he was in the hut when the murder happened.Then he heard fidaa screaming. I think the resort guy found the body first and went to inform the manager. At the time he left fidaa also would have came there, seen the body and screamed.but still how come the bottle appeared near the body? That i can't understand.🤷♀️
The bottle wasn't shown in the first scene I guess
In the next scene,officers found out the bottle near to the dead body. It was clearly after everybody came to know about the death.
