Hey Jacob! Me and my dad, Edwin, found your channel about four or five years ago, and you quickly became our favorite channel to watch. He became sick with numerous issues over the last few years, and i became his caretaker. It eventually got to the point where he couldn't get around very well, and didn't watch too much tv anymore. However, he still had two things he would never miss: The Price Is Right, and your videos. He never missed either. Unfortunately, my dad passed away on June 8th. So I just want to take this time and thank you for providing entertainment for him over the last few years, and being one of his favorite things to watch. He would always ask me "Where's Jacob at today?" Thank you for entertaining him (and me) over the years. I'm going to keep watching, but I'll definitely miss watching with him. It was something we did together.
Now that the year of the pressed penny is almost halfway over, you should show us your collection so far next time you're at the bunker. I'm so curious to see how big your stash has gotten already!

I once had the original Test Track ride break down while my car was in the Heat Chamber. That was... unpleasant to say the least. I do still have my original Test Track leather jacket though.
It's funny because when I first watched the youtube video of the current version I thought it was so cool and futuristic. Now it's kind of expected that rides use projection mapping and LED lights everywhere. I will say the music still stands out
I love your videos so much! So much joy taking us along on your ventures. But i must say Disney is taking away all the magic. I've been there in 88 for the first time and the second in 96. Both experiences were fantastic! So much better than now. Love you Jacob! Stay safe.

I have always wondered why the track width of the rear wheels on Test Track is narrower than the front. My guess is that it has something to do with the rear steering, or possibly it reduces wear on the road surface that the front and rear wheels don't run on the same exact route which may increase the life of the road surface.
i remember all the crash test dummy theming. Heck i remember when i was young going 3 times to ride this ride on separate years to just seen coming soon signs lol… That was before the internet would let you about grand openings for rides.

I agree Jacob! I liked the original version of test track better. I hear the current test track version will become a homage to the original ride that was there which was World of Motion, which I'm actually looking forward to.
Jacob, maybe it was a good thing you didn't get to ride it for your safety with Tiana's bayou Breaking down alot. For my experience of going to theme parks, always wait till they get. The bugs worked out of a ride before you ride it. It's better to be safe than sorry.
This version seemed a disappointment compared to the original GM test track. Too much of the neon-like effects became monotonous quickly. So glad to have experienced something more raw and immersed in a real test track scenario of the original.
I wonder what they will do with the hundreds of Imperial toy dinosaurs in the Dinoland USA gift shop after they close it. I collect Imperial dinos and would be so sad to see them get thrown out, I hope there’s an auction or something for them
Just me getting slightly offended and then curious about dinosaurs not being animals. Are reptiles not considered animals? What makes something an animal. I must research this, lol. I love the video and how you went through all the photo opportunities at Test Track!
That was my reaction - imagine paying the bucks for an AP, then not being able to participate because you can’t get a reservation for that day, even though you could park at TTC, ride to Epcot, scan in, walk right back out, monorail back to the magic kingdom and enter. Absolutely ludicrous. Or spending all the money to go to Disney and being told you can’t go on a ride because the random lottery system they have says you can’t (I know not really a lottery, but it sure acts like one) - then when he showed what has become of comunicore…. (It looks like a college campus )
@@davidbowers521 Jacob got us going to Santa’s Village in Jefferson New Hampshire instead of Disney World. A fraction of the cost. Wonderful employees, incredibly clean and maintained and so much for the kids to do! They even let you bring in a picnic lunch.
They’re closing Dinoland??? I love Dinosaur, and after Dial of Destiny…do we really need more Indiana Jones? I haven’t been to Disney in years and I actually would love to see Dinosaur before it closes, it was always fun but so scary to me. Thanks for at least letting me see the ride in its current state before it closes.
The last time I was ever at Walt Disney World was back in 2002. I went with my family but we drove all the way from Maryland to Florida. I think we did stop in Georgia for one night and then continued the following morning. I don’t really remember much of the trip because I was only 7 years old and of course this was way before we had smartphones and all that so we don’t really have many pictures of the trip for memory keeps but I do know I bet I had a wonderful time for sure!
Dino land was a bargain basement cheap addition as it was mostly inexpensive off the shelf rides with a theme to try to hide the cheapness. But expedition Everest is probably the last great Old Disney ride.
I'm not sure if Jacob was screaming in terror over the coaster, or the yeti trying to grab him. To be honest, if a yeti was trying to grab me, I'd be screaming too.
If I have to guess, they’re probably gonna replace these such iconic and nostalgic rides with blatant IP plugs that barely got anything to do with the innovative achievements of mankind.

Concept art says otherwise. It's not going to be a dramatic retheme but like said in the video a reimagining. The current version people call Test Track V2 the reimagining would make it Test Track V3. BTW this ride is still being sponsored by Chevrolet like it was when the ride first opened. Chevy is also covering the cost of the reimagining too. So that should give you enough pause to know that this ride won't be rethemed to any other IP. I believe the reimagining revolves around EVs and Chevy's (not-so serious) push towards them.

I feel extremely luck to have gotten to ride Ex. Everest while the Yeti was operating... I put it up there with my 1 visit to Club 33 in Disneyland.

With the exception of cost everything that is wrong with Disney is in the first 5 minutes of this video.

My gut feeling is that Test Track will be getting a Cars theme makeover. IMHO, I think a Cars world themed testing facility could be interesting.
