God I don't think so. Ann hates it as well; in their book she said it was "horrible" and the only reason it made the album is because Capitol forced them to put a power ballad on it. I love the album it's on but this song doesn't fit with the others.
@@HeRacesTheSun Ann hates it, and IMO it doesn't fit in at all on that album. Apparently Capitol made them put it on the album because they wanted a power ballad which was exactly what Heart didn't want.

Mark Andes and Denny Carmassi were both dismissed around this time. He wasn't on this album and Denny only played on one song. That's not Denny in this footage either.
@@Katerina9256 Well, it is Denny just not Denny Carmassi. It's Denny Fongheiser who toured with them for this album. The bass player is Fernando Saunders who actually has a great voice as well, and he sang the Layne Staley parts on Ring Them Bells during the tour.
@@Alfredo78666 oh I see now what you're talking about! I never noticed but yes that is Howard Leese playing a left-handed Strat upside down and right handed 😁 Kind of a reverse Jimi Hendrix thing I guess!

Seems like they changed the melody a little and Nancy's voice cracked a few times. I watched their official video then this live version. I prefer the official video. They harmonize much better. This video isn't the greatest quality either.
Sad thing for me i really enjoyed these sisters music then when i attended their concert because they had gotten older and feminists instead of performing the hits the set list was 70s and numbers never heard before. They wont do this song or All I Want To Do live anymore.
The main reason they aren't doing those songs isn't because they are feminists, but because both songs are by outside writers and were forced on them by the record company. Ann has stated that she thinks this song is "terrible" and didn't fit the album, but Capitol made them record it; she disliked it so much she refused to sing it so Nancy took it. As for All I Wanna Do, she feels the same about that one (they are both Mutt Lange songs) and the lyrics are so disgusting to her that the only times she has sung it since have been with re-written lyrics. So it's not so much feminism is that they really detest the songs and the fact Capitol forced them to record them. And Ann wasn't happy at all that this song was the first single from the album.
@@howardbreauxii811 its their best songs i dont care what spoiled artists say. The system worked better when i was there we wrote and composed the songs the singers sang the album was happy to be on tour. They got to spoiled and i would of dropped them too. Just sour grapes by ungrateful artists.

@@tonycampbell4982 Heart's fanbase has always been an interesting mix of people. In the 70s, their fanbase was mostly made up of headbangers and the type of people who also followed Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, the album-oriented rock listener. You clearly are in the mainly female, non-headbanger group of fans.
Terrible song...the track "Black on Black" that they did on Letterman I believe the same week as this is so much better. I'm guessing they did the hard stuff on Letterman's late night show and saved the lame-o pop song for Leno.
I wouldn't say it's terrible. It's not my cup of tea either, but chicks like it. It's clearly a chick song. I agree Black on Black II is a much better tune.
This song has grown on me. Its not as good as Black on Black but those songs are apples and oranges really. I like that at least they had the amps cranked for the power chords on this performance. That's about as heavy as a song like this can be.
