im skilled at both
A lot of Tetris players assume that they can win in swap by brute forcing damage in Tetris, and as a Puyo Puyo player I hate to say that it’s a strategy works a lot of the time.

and that’s why we stan holy counter/devils/evil counter
The only upsides I find from PPT2 (PC) as another user:
1. Anime effects are great
2. Marle is pretty
3. I can slow down when I am heavily blown by slump in jstris and need some recalibration
Only upsides from PPT2:

As a tetris player, i have ptsd everytime i hear a puyo chain not stopping after 3

Puyo Puyo is fun. I've played other Puyo Puyo games from the first game to 20th Anniversary on emulator.
Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary is so dang good.

@@napoppu9575 i played 1, Tsu, Fever, 15th Anniversary, 7, 20th Anniversary, Tetris 1 and Tetris 2. I'm looking forward to get a 3ds so i can play Puyo Puyo Chronicles.
I bought it on the steam sale because I thought I was decent and got my butt handed to me by the CPU
You’ve probably heard the sentence “the Tetris player is at a slight disadvantage” before but seriously I tried playing against a cpu using Tetris and them puyo and got dominated but when I switched the roles they died very quickly (the cpu was Ex both times)
Most Puyo players are on Switch- lack of crossplay has caused everyone to congregate there, hence why matchmaking on other platforms is so painful
*Sega why, please for the love of Jod give us crossplay*
Especially because ps has crossplay between 4 and 5 why can’t they put the effort to have all versions crossplay

as a tetrio player trying out ppt2 for the first time, i must say its a painful exprience to play swap when i have zero puyo exprience xD. Sometimes my tetris skill carries tho so still kinda fun

@@DespOIcito Not sure how knowing how to play puyo saves you from several red rocks with Puyos that don't make a match, especially if you have ammo on the other board.

I tried this like more than a year ago. The matchmaking was eternal and I always had the same opponent, lmao. So I never played again. That and the annoying character sounds effects, sadge.
which device? all the online activity is on switch so if you bought it on pc youre not gonna see many people

I find the error for margin is much smaller in Tetris than in Puyo Puyo
@@Sjono I think Tetris feels more approachable. It doesn't take a genius to clear some lines even if you can't e.g T-spin. In Puyo Puyo getting even 3-chains feels like stroke of luck and not something you can plan for when just starting out.
