Puyo Puyo is a very foreign game, though, in its concept. Normally, cutesy Japanese games NEVER have dubs, so it's rather difficult to come by any professional actors willing to do it, much less many that can actually pull off the tone. Christine was a guarantee since her voice is naturally adorable, but the majority of the cast are pretty new to the voice acting side of things. Amitie, Sig and Satan (alt) were among the highlights that copied their Japanese counterparts almost too well.

Such a reaction doesn't work for them they way it does with the Tetraminos and Fever characters. Heck Witch frequently busts his chops by baiting him into the original exchange that forever marked him as a pervert from way back in Madou 2, with her flustering him by playing his part and the irony of it being something he actually said first going right over his head.

How come a more mature game like the Fire Emblem x Atlas crossover game gets the slightest bit of suggestive material removed, and yet a game with a childish tone and art sytle manages to get 9 minutes of the most borderline suggestive dialogue into their game and STILL gets an 10+ rating!?

Plus, the kiddies won't really understand all the weird dialogue, while the SMT/FE crossover had outfits that you'd have to explain, especially with a (slightly) more realistic artstyle. ES21007 But even more mature scenes got censored despite the higher age rating and having even worse instances in the game, like with the supports between Saizo and Beruka in FE:Fates. The two, being assassins, have a mature and meaningful conversation about their jobs, kills, and how this affects everyone's views of them in a world racked with war. This got censored to the two literally just staring at each other for 4 lines in the english version. Yet at any given moment any of your (non-plot important) characters can die, or even in casual be terribly injured ("My bone should NOT be sticking out like that!"), as well as Peri existing. She's a psychopath to the point her name is a acronym for different ways of committing murder. But the meaningful conversation got censored?

ArmoredChocobo, because Schezo's way of talking is very old hat for any character that was also from Madou Monogatari alongside Schezo. Such a reaction doesn't work for them they way it does with the Tetraminos and Fever characters. Heck Witch frequently busts his chops by baiting him into the original exchange that forever marked him as a pervert from way back in Madou 2, with her flustering him by playing his part and the irony of it being something he actually said first going right over his head.

How come a more mature game like the Fire Emblem x Atlas crossover game gets the slightest bit of suggestive material removed, and yet a game with a childish tone and art sytle manages to get 9 minutes of the most borderline suggestive dialogue into their game and STILL gets an 10+ rating!?

Appearances help. Plus, the kiddies won't really understand all the weird dialogue, while the SMT/FE crossover had outfits that you'd have to explain, especially with a (slightly) more realistic artstyle.
I'm not saying it's justified or this is the actual thought process. I'm saying what I think, and I could be wrong about that either way.
ES21007 But even more mature scenes got censored despite the higher age rating and having even worse instances in the game, like with the supports between Saizo and Beruka in FE:Fates.
The two, being assassins, have a mature and meaningful conversation about their jobs, kills, and how this affects everyone's views of them in a world racked with war. This got censored to the two literally just staring at each other for 4 lines in the english version.
Yet at any given moment any of your (non-plot important) characters can die, or even in casual be terribly injured ("My bone should NOT be sticking out like that!"), as well as Peri existing.
She's a psychopath to the point her name is a acronym for different ways of committing murder.
But the meaningful conversation got censored?
