10:39 What I really find it funny is that the Sonic Runners collab was the only time they were not consistent with "Dark Prince". So you got Eggman saying "I'm very grateful for your help, Satan."
The removal of Satan's "frustrated" animation from the original game seems like unnecessary reprogramming and bad writing. Instead of mispronouncing "Satan" as "Santa", she could have similarly mispronounced "Dark Prince" as "Dork Prince".
That was kinda just the vibe for localizations like this at the time. It's arguably the same reason (or one other major reason) Puyo Puyo was reskinned to mean bean machine and kirby's avalanche. People had this notion that cutesy, funny games like that wouldn't sell as well as something that takes itself seriously or has a bit of edge to it. It's also, I suspect, why they changed Nasu's name to "blue ghost" or what have you. It's a vain attempt to create tension that wasn't there.
Dark Prince isn't too bad of a localization imo as that's basically just his title, although it is unfortunate that we never got the scene where they chant Satan's name over and over in PPT.
Funny thing to mention about Puyo Puyo Tetris 2: it seems Sega must've been aware of how Schezo's localized lines caused an uproar, so they did their research once again! Case in point: at the end of Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary, Schezo makes a wish for people to stop calling him a pervert. It works, but he & Ms. Accord quickly discover a loophole - Schezo can still be called similar words (such as creeper). However, Ms. Accord says that Schezo can fix this if he works on not flubbing his vocabulary. So guess what Schezo reveals to Arle in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2?

Kitsy Cat exists and I know you love Arle from Puyo Puyo but the Kitsy Cat version? Is a annoying brat known as Silvanna and she beat the crap out of Bow-Wow the Dog and Henry the Cat.
The Puyo Puyo Quest crossover event in Sonic Runners was perhaps the _only_ time Dark Prince was referred to as "Satan" in the in-game localizations. Not exactly surprised they missed that considering this was likely just a simple oversight due to how fast these events would've needed to have been translated into other languages.
On the note of maguro and ecolo sharing a voice actor with shinji. In the original Japanese version ecolo shares a voice actor with kaworu so that's a fun fact.
